I was skeptical when a friend of mine recommended this place. Pizza and wings from a bar to go? I figured I would give it a shot anyways. Ordered a medium chicken supreme pizza and the buffalo wings. The wait time was about 45 minutes when I called which seemed long, but it was about 730 so figured the dinner rush. When I arrived the small door when you enter is there to pick up food so you don't have to enter the bar if you don't want to. The gentleman there was attentive and let me know half my order was ready and grabbed my pizza said it would be a few more minutes on the wings. Something to note this place is cash only, they do have an atm on site, but come with cash! When I got home the pizza was still warm and looked amazing! It matched the look and was super tasteful. The cheese was sharp, chicken cooked well, bite from the onions and artichokes, and who doesn't love bacon? The wings were good, could be crispier in my opinion. Sauce was flavorful and not overly spicy. This may be my new go to when I'm in the area. Side note it is a bar. It's loud, there are locals, but everyone was friendly and nice. Rusty's is one of those types of places that is so unique and special you just can't recreate it anywhere else. I've fallen in love with this place. I always see the same people working and the vibes are immaculate. A dive bar with amazing food and cheap drinks. When you come you have to get the lemon pepper and robs rub wings. The wings here are the best I've ever had in my life and are absolutely life changing. They give you a bunch of ranch as well. The pizzas are so delicious. Rumor has it they've never cleaned the pizza oven so all the yummy flavor and char comes from it. My other notable mentions are the fried pickles and onion rings. The drinks are cheap and STRONG. Usually around $8-$12. It's become one of my go to places and I dream about their wings. Worth the drive from the bay! read more

Walking up to this place, felt like I was walking into a biker bar. Came here late at night and it felt like a community bar, where everyone kind of knew each other. They had the Sunday football games on almost every TV. We took our order at the window and the cashier was very polite. We also ended up getting a picture of beer from the bartender. We didn't wait too long for our food. The pizza, Rusty's combo was very crispy and loaded up with toppings. I enjoyed the buffalo wings more than the lemon pepper, and they did not lack any flavor. The fried zucchini had a good crunch and was not soggy. I was recommended this place by a friend of ours and I definitely would come back. read more

I occasionally stay in Tracy for weeks or a month at a time. Alot of the locals have recommended Rusty's. I finally had a chance to check it out 2 weeks ago. I was not disappointed. I'm considered a "picky eater" by most of my friends, especially when it comes to trying a new eatery. After a few drinks, I had the urge to order a small pizza to try it out and it turned out being the best pizza I've had in a long time. Everything was perfect from the cheese, to the toppings to the crust. The gentleman serving us was Nick. After getting to know him, he's a cool dude and loves his sports. Service was on point and he let us have our fun there. I went on a Monday, so it was not that crowded, but I've heard stories of how it gets pretty crazy on weekends. And it's cool because they have a juke box and a good amount of TV screens showing different sporting events. Best pizza in town!! And love their ranch. My only complaint is that they sometimes do not pick up their phone. So I had to drive down there one time and waited for two hours. I came here for the famous Rusty's pizza. My mom loves it, so I came and picked one up for her. The pizza is great. The staff were very nice also. My only critique would be their "cash only" policy. I don't carry cash often, so the stars have to align in order for me to get food from here. Even charging a debit/credit card fee would be welcomed, but it's only a small gripe. I hate leaving negative reviews, especially for places I used to love. Unfortunately, the pizza and food here just isn't as good as it was only a year ago. Maybe it was just an off night, but this is the second time now that the food was not so good. I'm very tempted to even try a third time. To be clear on the food I ordered was a pizza. and wings. The dough just isn't the same and either is the sauce. Not to mention they put pepperoni when I asked for sausage. Thanks for reading my review. Saw this place on the list for "must try" pizzas in the tri Valley. Now im wondering if these shops pay to get on that list for visibility. Not gonna trust that BS list again because of this disappointment. This is one of the top two worst pizzas I've ever had in my life (which is why I feel compelled to write this review). There was one other pizza that was worst only because it was raw dough. I can't seem to trust Yelp Tracy for very much these days. The pizza uses canned mushrooms with a weird metallic taste, and the olives didn't look good either. The cheese didn't even really melt all the way, and the crust was like one of those elementary school pizzas I used to have as a kid, kinda bread-y and dry. It was also a super greasy and lukewarm pizza. Ugh. I've had better frozen TJ's pizza. But I guess my daughter loves it bc it's just like school pizza. Yelp reviewers just gotta stop lying about how good this is, yuck. And seriously, after seeing some of the videos of other reviews - watch out for roaches hitching a ride back to your house! It's my favorite pizza spot since moving to Tracy. I love the fries and wings, too. I believe the kitchen closes at 9 pm. The service is always great, and the crowd seems pretty cool. Bring cash as that's all they take, but there's an ATM if you forget to. I love that the prices here aren't getting jacked up, unlike most other pizza spots. I'm not one to give 1 star, but this place truly and utterly deserved it. The Service -- service is non-existent for us. Service is completely handled by the bartenders even if you get a booth/table. Not sure if this was an isolated incident but it seemed like even if we went up to the bar to ask for drinks, we'd never get served. The bartenders would just continue talking with the other bartenders or with the customers and refused to acknowledge us unless we hollered them over! When we got our food, the server just slid the food on our table and left without saying 1 word! The Food -- this place is def reheating frozen food and it shows -- the food was warm at best. Be prepared to get attitude if you don't know what you're doing, complain or expect a corporate ass kissing. People complaining aren't local or just moved here. There's a crappy corporate chain right next door if you want someone to call you sir/ma'am, tell you to have a great day and take your credit card payment and be nice to your crappy kids. You'll get attitude if you cause a fuss and I wouldn't have it any other way. Employees are known to drop 4 letter words on customers trying to order. That's just how it goes. They literally have the best ranch I have ever tasted. Made in house fresh. The pizza is top notch.
