For smaller venues, I've seen productions in Napa valley, Sacramento's old Town district and others. Two smaller town venues are the Village Theater in Issaquah, Washington which is one of the best, and then there is the Gallery in McMinnville, Oregon. I'm encouraged that there is even a theater in the Willamette area, but alas it's quality of stage, theater design and performances need improvement. I hope that someday some patron of the arts will increase contributions to their efforts, but for now I'll be driving 4 hours to Issaquah's Village theater or wait for performances in downtown Portland.
