I used to go here alot in high school and I loved its atmosphere, and Interesting drink selection!! I would always get Thai milk which is a spiced coconutty iced drink. I recently went back and feel like it has gone downhill. The interior seems dark and less open after reconstructing and baristas don't seem as happy. I've heard shady things about the owner who keeps expanding them all over town. And as for staff they are all very nice however one man who I think is management "Sammy" has been somewhat rude to me on several occasions. read more

My friend and I stopped in Missoula for a night during a road trip and after a bit of searching, we stumbled on this place. I was quite impressed with the selection of coffee and tea they had, as well as a surprisingly nice selection of craft beers to boot! I had an espresso that was nice; the service was friendly (if a bit "heeeey duuuude"-ish) and if I ever find myself back in Missoula, I'll definitely stop by for a cuppa. read more

This is a great coffee shop with a large selection of wine and beer. they also have lots of coffee, wine, and tea drinking accessories. I bought a morrocan coffee, which from the looks of it was an americano with spices in it and very tastey but they use quality coffee. I was pleasantly suprised that amongst thier sweeteners was Truiva because you just don't see that around Idaho and Montana (noboday seems to know what Truvia is. They have an extensive drink menu. Also, don't be fooled that there isn't a lot of seating when you walk in, there are quite a few seating options towards the back of the shop. read more

Too dark, the walls and ceiling are painted black. So much clutter I was afraid of knocking over shelves of product. Barista was nice and made my coffee fast. The area behind the counter was obviously in dire need of some professional cleaning. The bathroom was smelly and the toilet was leaking. Very dirty and disorganized store. read more

Stopped by there to get breakfast before heading on a 16 hour drive back home to california. Coffee is excellent. Love the cocoa - mocha - nut as an iced latte. Food is not so excellent. Took forever to get my 2 breakfast sandwiches and they gave me the wrong one. Super greasy. Definitely recommened for coffee, though! read more

Very unique atmosphere and the absolute best selection of beverages I've ever seen. You can't beat the wine department, they literally have hundreds of beers, wines, loose leaf teas, and every accessory to go with them...and you can blend your own coffee. They also have an amazing selection of french presses. The beverage menu is intense....much more involved than a typical coffee shop, and their recipes are unique. Although crepes are now gone, they have great new breakfast burritos and grab n go items that are much quicker than the crepes were anyways....the crepes took too long and they knew it (which is why some people complain about speed) so they apparently deleted them this year. Besides, coffee isn't fast food and I'd rather have them take a few extra seconds cause they're actually making it properly...The coffee is great as well! I have had it with this place! So I feel the need to warn others. Coffee and most drinks are great, but the service is horrible! The first time we had rotten service was the night of the xmas tree lighting downtown. My girlfriend ordered a drink and when she got it was awful, we told the barista maybe there was a mistake but she said there was not, we just let it go. Second time we went she ordered her drink and what she got was completly incorrect, she politly asked if this was what she ordered and all she got was attitude and no help. the last time i was in by myself and ordered my coffee it was fine but once again the barista was a total bitch! I understand it is difficult to deal with the public but we were genuinly nice as I know what it is like to deal in customer service but these snotty little girls who work there make getting a simple cup of coffee an annoying ordeal. Support local business but until this crappy service situation is dealt with go to Bernices. read more

Liquid Planet is definitely an establishment I miss after moving out of Missoula. Their coffees are always delectable and perfect made to order. Sandwiches and scones are great, too. The staff are always attentive and polite, and the interior of the shop is always clean. The lobby has a wonderful seating area where patrons can read a book or peck at a laptop while enjoying their coffee. I look forward to conducting business with them again when I visit Missoula. read more

Love it. I've bought all kinds of coffee from Liquid Planet for years and I have yet to be unsatisfied.

Extremely slow. Expect to wait 30-40 mins for a drink. Coffee has grounds in the bottom of the cup. I asked for no foam latte and got extra foam. I know this is a popular place for coffee, but I expect more for a $4-6 drink when down the street they make the same for $3-4, quicker, and to order. read more

Inspired by Bradley N's review last year, I ordered a box of Chocolate Safari by mail. Chocolate Safari is a mixture of rooibos, peppermint and cocoa nibs. It's organic and everything is compostable, from the sachet to the wrapper it comes in. It was delicious, sufficiently so that I had to force myself to be generous and share it w/ guests. There were only 15 teabags to a box, after all. Generosity is good, much better for the soul than its opposite. Last week I told my chiropractor about it and tonight I decided that giving her a teabag to try would be much better than any description I might give, so I put one in a baggie for Alan to take to her tomorrow. I'm down to 3 or 4 teabags, so it's time to reorder. I see from rereading Bradley's review that it comes in bulk, so I may order that next time. All I saw when I ordered the first time were the sachets, which are convenient. Either way, it's a delicious combination, caffeine free. I recommend it to you. read more

Expansive list of drinks to choose from. Slow service with one at the register and another making the drinks. There were about 4-5 of us in line and it seemed to take forever. People were friendly though. This place is partially a store with coffee and tea products all the way to the back of the store. They also have two seating areas which didn't seem the most comfy to sit and relax. However, after walking for a long time, I was happy to just sit and sip my brazilian which was basically a chocolate banana mocha. A bit too sweet for my taste, but decent. I would be tempted to come back and try all their other drinks. You'd think with such an expansive list at least one thing would be _really_ good. Or at least you'd hope! read more

Dope Vietnamese iced coffee. Regular-ish prices but something similar in Bozeman would be a buck more. Used to come here in college and it was nice to drop back in and still have it be of high quality and chill atmosphere without being a snooty coffee shop. read more

Although I enjoy the selection of coffee, wine, and beer, I am unimpressed with the espresso service. The coffee is good, but the shop doesn't open until 7:45, which for most people, who work in the morning and hence buy the most coffee, is too late. I was just in there at 7:40, the door was open and a barista was standing at the counter. I was told I was too early and that I needed to wait 6 minutes before he could make my coffee. He let us walk out the door and go to la petit otre, which incidentally has great coffee and far superior pastries. Good customer service would be to make me a coffee even though I was 5 minutes early. read more

Dark. Dark beyond noir and beyond necessity. Eyes over 49 years old require miner's lights to see product. Product has degraded over the years to made-in-China ceramic boudoir-slipper wine-bottle holders. (Who's buying this stuff?) Sitting area desperately in need of repainting and the bulk teas and bottled novelty sodas are going beyond prime. GREAT young staff are doing their best at minimum wage to keep this place open....and they alone get the credit for its survival. read more

I go to Liquid Planet for coffee and have never had a bad experience but I advise everyone to not ever buy a French press here. They sell Le Cafetiere and Bodum presses, but don't sell replacement glass beakers for the 8 cup Le Cafetiere or 12 cup Bodum. I purchased a 12 cup Bodum press for $60 and when my beaker broke, I went in to buy a new one and they did not have it and were not helpful at all when it came to trying to order a new one. They instead suggested to me and my boyfriend who also tried to order a new beaker that we buy one of their in-house brand French presses instead. NO WAY! I spent a lot of money on my first press and will not be giving them any more money of mine in the future. Sorry Liquid Planet, I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

My wifes friend thought this might be a good place for afternoon coffee, so we checked it out when we were in town. One star is pushing it. Service was slow, coffee was terrible. I got a cafe au lait and my wife got a cappuccino. Mine was full of grounds and my wifes was so bitter she didn't finish it. We'll never go back, too many other options. read more
