For now they are only serving beer and I met the brewer, cool guy. Once permits are in they will sell and serve spirits as well. What makes this space unique is Josh's take on re purposing older materials. For instance the concrete-? bar top was taken from an old school house. The space is complete with a stripper pole, I mean a fireman's copper pole. They even found an old fire engine and had it CUT IN HALF and repainted, really cool. We sampled 3 different styles of beer, all delicious. I really liked the Porter and Sour. They are showing Monday night football and you can order food from down the block and bring it here...or they deliver. Cool. Perhaps this spot will put sleepy Ovid on the map. Well done.

We were still very near our car and not in any buildings yet. A woman who worked there came up to us And told us we couldn't drink outside alcohol on the property. Certainly understandable and we were quickly aware of that when we saw the sign. We just saw the trash can when she came back to us and literally grabbed the cup out of my hand in a very rude manner. Needless to say, we were pretty turned off by her rudeness, total lack of customer service and will never go back again. I don't recommend this place.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially to our dogs (they even brought out free biscuits, which was such a nice touch). The food menu is more "munchies style" but everything we had was fresh and tasty, a great complement to the drinks. Stag Brewing combines a fun, laid-back vibe with good beer, good food, and great hospitality.
