I was in Atlanta from out of town, on a Saturday, and desperately in need of a massage. I called around to a few places, which were all booked. Thankfully, I found this place on Yelp! I went in as soon as they opened (11am) and got one of the best massages of my life. Rain (male) was so good that I extended it from 60min to 90min. Followed it with a 30min foot massage. No, the place is not as posh as many day spas, and yes, if people are talking I can see how it would get pretty loud. But the place was clean, the staff were courteous, and the massage was excellent. We booked a1 hr foot massage and i don't think the people are trained at all, there is no routine, work on my foot for maybe 10 mins the most. Didn't even touch my toes, mostly on my leg. What the... Its suppose to be a foot massage, not leg massage. I would not recommend this place at all. Harmony on Buford Hwy is much better, there are hits and misses, but they have a standard procedure and process. Not work on ur leg for 2 min then foot for 1 min and back and forth. Took my dad here for Father's Day - "The best Father's Day gift I have ever had!' - he said. Among foot massage places, it holds up very well. Stay away from this place. I was a regular that would go at least 3 to 4 times per month. I always paid regular price plus tipped every session. I decided to go on a Wednesday when the advertised the special for 2 for 70 dollars. When I got there she stated I could only pay cash and if I paid card it would be regular price. I was confused because I always paid card and left a very good tip. The signage they advertised outside said nothing about only paying cash. So this place just opened about two weeks ago, I believe. I had the best foot and back massage ever. It was relaxing, quite, I could not hear outside noises, and everyone was very friendly. They used to be awesome but just got a deep tissue massage from "Tina" and it was more like a Swedish rub. The 60 minute is $61 but the 90 minute is $102???? Does not make sense. Went to Li's spontaneously when I decided to treat myself to a massage. I have had many massages in fancy hotels, and all over the country. Li's happens to be right by my house so I gave it a try. My 1 hour massage was very good. The pressure was just what I wanted, and I felt very relaxed and my muscle pain feels much better. So, it says on the sign 2 people "head to toe massage" $70 on Wednesday. So, I invited my daughter to go today. We were offered to add on a foot massage. the sign says 2 people- 1 hour foot massage $40.- we only got 1/2 hour foot massage.So, I guessed...$110 total. So, we are all set. The massage was great. But, when I went to pay it was $142. It is hard to arugue with someone who doesn't speak English well. She explained to me that we got a "FULL BODY" massage not a head to toe massage.........um....so I didn't tip. She came out of the door after me and YELLED" YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE." I got an hour full body massage for $51.00 Parking is tricky there are about 4 spots in the front which you had to try to back out into traffic to get out. I may be biased because this was my first massage but I was in heaven! I went in for a foot massage after a long weekend of walking in New Orleans and this was just what I needed. The prices seemed very reasonable as well (I was expecting much more, again....newbie). After a slight shoulder massage after my foot massage I was advised I was tight (I knew this, stress) and should try a full body. Without hesitation I agreed and was surprised, again, how economical it was. I believe my 30 min. foot massage + 30 min. full body was maybeeeee $60 AKA a steal! AND THE SCALP/HEAD MASSAGE, WHEW! Mediocre at best. As it has been mentioned, the beginning is a lot of pushing with a dry towel. Quite frankly it was suffocating under the towel because it traps heat. I would highly recommend switching to a normal sheet. Additionally, it seems they are very concerned about the possibility of sex accusations and make sure not to get close to the lower back or thighs. It was very uncomfortable. After I asked the guy to move on and use oil or lotion, the pressure was ok but mostly directed towards my shoulders and feet. I have had plenty of high end massages as well as Asian massages. We came here from Southern California and foot massages and mexican food are the things we miss most. This is now my go-to shop for foot massage, slowly but surely replacing my trek to Buford Highway. And, I must say that Li's give a consistently great food massage whereas some of the shops on Buford can be hit or miss. This place is pretty quiet and relaxing place to get a massage except for the occasion uncouth newbie who thinks it is ok to talk on the phone or loudly talk and giggle. Its dark and clean and the man who runs the front desk is very nice. Dont get me wrong, this is no high end spa experience, and why would you expect that for 20-30 dollars?, but for those who understand chinese food massage and korean spa culture, this is pretty nice I tend to like a firmer massage and man do they deliver! And they are not just rubbing toes, pressure points are manipulated to provide ultimate relaxation. I love massages and frequently make sacrifices elsewhere in my life to enjoy a massage. However, there is no need to sacrifice at Li's Massage---it's a great price for an excellent massage. I was a bit wary, because from the outside, this is not the kind of salon that I am used to going to, but a friend who goes there weekly for reflexology assured me this place is a gem. The inside is clean and appealing. It's not like Massage Envy or any of those other boutique salons; the bed is not warmed (but it's comfortable), no lavender scented sheets (clean beach towels), no Enya, and paper towels lined the slippers. The masseuse conversed with other employees through the thin fabric curtain that served as a door. The talking was a little distracting, but the massage was so relaxing I can forgive that. My daughter and I went for full body and foot massages today. I had a lady (sorry I don't remember her name) she was actually pretty good, however it was not a full body massage more of a back massage. My daughter on the other hand had some six-foot burly guy that left her more battered than relaxed. She actually hurt more after leaving then before getting there. Finally she told him to stop because it was not a comfortable situation at all. I agree with others reviews, the reception area and the foot massage area are nearly the same area, There was so much distraction, talking and noise! My therapist did not complete my foot massage because she was pulled to do a massage on a man. The guy who took over had been covering the reception desk and immediately sat down without sanitizing his hands or anything, to do my feet and then he wanted to work on my face and neck which I promptly replied no way! I don't think I'm gonna do this one again. Their process, skills and sanitation is pretty questionable to me. I rather spend more money and get a quality outcome. read more

If you want quietness this place may not be for you. However, they offer excellent customer service and great quality massages at reasonable prices. Sometimes they even run specials (now through Dec 31). The manager did my massage. One time an employee had to being him the phone in the middle of my massage & a second time, another employee came into my room to ask a question (I did not like that at all bc I was trying to relax). He did apologize. There are partial walls & curtains rather than doors so you will hear everything going on outside of your room. Facility is very clean & neat :-) read more

Let me start off by stating that I have never been compelled to right a negative review but I do not want anyone else to experience what I just did.... I came in today for a couple's massage with my boyfriend and went straight to the room where they would be conducting them. The room had regular massage equipment but I was a bit turned off by the "beach" towels that I was supposed to cover myself with and the "no sex massages" sign on the wall. The massage started off a bit strong, but it was ok since the gentleman asked if I would like it to be a bit softer. He adjusted and went on. Then the phone started to ring by the front desk and he excused himself to get it. I thought to myself, "this is weird but maybe they are understaffed." Well after the 4th time this happened, I was a bit livid. He also forgot about the massage being strong. The lights were also on the whole time making it a bit less relaxing. And I not only heard loud conversions between the employees right next to our room, but another guest complaining about how she took an uber to her scheduled appointment and then they cancelled without forewarning her. There was another phone in the room where we were receiving our massage that rang extremely loud as well. After not only an ok massage and several step aways to not only answer phones but to deal with angry customers and people just coming in the door, I decided not to leave a tip. (I worked in the hospitality industry and have never done this before) As I am walking away, the guy that massaged me motioned me over and in front of another couple stated that I needed to leave a tip. Called last minute for a Sunday evening massage. They were very accommodating to get us in. My boyfriend and I had the 30minute foot massage with 30 minute body massage. The massage itself was great! I knocked it down to a 4 star instead of 5 because of noise as others mention. I like to have peace and quiet to relax. The foot massage chairs are right by the front door that has loud chimes. It's also by the reception area so the phone is constantly ringing and you can hear their conversations. When we went to the massage rooms they have curtains rather than doors so you could hear them filling up water buckets and stuff while getting a massage. New to this area and am surprisingly thrilled with all the great variety of amenities that are close by. I drove passed Li's and looked to Yelp. Based on previous reviews, I decided to make an appointment. I parked in front, there are a few other businesses abutting and no specific signage for designated parking for the 5 spaces, which includes 1 for disabled. I assumed there may be parking in the rear. Getting in and out is tricky, due the ridiculousness of the lanes being restricted to 2 on this portion of Howell Mill (stay tuned for more madness as there is new retail and residential construction across the street). I was greeted by a half curtain upon entering and a nice front desk greeter. I was offered water and taken to a room. I chose a room further away from the door as previous Yelp reviews mentioned the noise levels. I think doors on the rooms as well as a little WD-40 on the rooms with doors would enhance the experiences extremely. Though dimly lit, the place appeared to be clean. Overall, the atmosphere was relaxing. The Zen music had an appropriate volume level and further created a tranquil experience. I enjoyed my 1 hour massage. The therapist was thorough and devoted ample time to trouble spots. Prices are reasonable, but I found the request for a tip to be off-putting as I was reaching in my handbag to get one. You save $1 if you pay cash rather than credit. I received a punch card for future visits. I would visit again and appreciate that Li's operates after typical business hours. I have come many times to Li's Massage and give it my highest recommendation, in terms of quality of massage, courtesy of personnel, and price. Do not be put off by the modest exterior. Inside, it is clean (though small). The rooms are private and the staff is very respectful of privacy. The rooms are not soundproof, however, so some quiet,brief conversations between customers and other masseurs (giving instructions, requests, etc.) can be heard. I do not find this troubling, but some might. I get deep tissue massages (uniformly excellent) from the son of the owner, whose name is "Show" (pronounced like the first syllable of :shower'). He will be on leave the next couple of months but has given me the names of others who can fill in ably for him. read more
