There aren't enough words in the dictionary for me to describe how wonderful, professional, patient, and attuned Dr. Lisa Law is. Let me break down my few years of experience as thoroughly as I possibly can. Waiting area - Incredibly clean, comfortable and spacious, allowing patients to feel safe waiting for their appointment with enough space between them that you don't feel like you're on top of one another. They have a little fan, usb outlets to charge phones, water dispenser, and candies for little kiddies that may accompany their parents (or for adults with a sweet tooth :p). It's what an ideal waiting room should look like! Receptionist - a mixture of American born Chinese receptionists that speak mandarin, English, and Cantonese (possibly more dialects but I'm unsure). They are friendly and kind, welcoming patients as best as they can. No complaints whatsoever! Ophthalmologist assistants - quick, kind, and thorough with their examinations. They are friendly and welcoming as well, for you can see them all put their best efforts in assisting Dr. Lisa Law as much as they can! Dr. Lisa Law - a very sweet, thorough, friendly, kind, warm, and professional Ophthamologist who tries her very best to provide a comprehensive examination and diagnosis to help improve your quality of life. She is often running on overdrive and because she cares so much for each of her patients, she may appear a bit anxious and talk at a quick pace, but that's only because she wants to use as much of her valuable time on you as possible! She has an aura that really helps alleviate any anxiety that her patients often come into her office with; maybe she's encapsulating the anxiety so her patients doesn't have to :p I definitely would not choose any other Ophthamologist than Dr. Lisa Law and I hope you will at least give her a chance (: I'm sure you'll love her attitude, personality, and care as much as her many patients do! Dr Law is one of the best ophthalmologists in New York. My 70 year- old dad was diagnosed as acute glaucoma by another doctor and was suggested to do an emergency laser surgery. I was worried and came for a second opinion. Dr Law had her ophthalmic technician to take some pictures with the machine, then she went through everything with us in the exam room. Dr Law patiently explained all the questions we had, spent time to educate us what " glaucoma " should be in the picture, showed us my dad's picture of his eye. This is very helpful for us to get a better idea of the disease and she was so nice that didn't bad mouth other doctor. Dr Law is the best doctor who is knowledgeable, carling, willing to spend time to explain to patients. Unlike a lots of doctors who are very pushing for surgeries and more costly easy money laser operations, she puts patients' needs at the first place! If you need an eye check up, now you should know who you should go to. PS: of course there will be wait time, aren't all the doctor appointments?! Despite the wait (on a Sunday), everyone who works at this office is super nice and bad ass. They get shit done and figure stupid insurance things out for you. They care about you. I understand the wait is long, but I just wanted an estimate so I asked the girl who took pictures of my eyes about how long the wait is here on out and she gave me an estimate and then asked if I ate already (it's lunch time). I told her no and she said I could step out for food if I want, but give her a moment and she'll get back to me with a better idea of the wait time. She came back to me a few minutes later to tell me how many people were ahead of me and about how long she thought it could take. Dr. Law is a little ditzy, but she's so smart and nice and can answer all your questions about your eye health. I'm not leaving this doctor for anyone else. read more

Thorough doctor. Wait time is long as she is the only doctor there but she doesn't rush you when you see her. Also what doctor in Chinatown doesn't have long wait times? The office is a little small and cramped tho. She's also a little quirky but that's not a negative. read more

The office is crowded and it runs a bit slow(it gets hectic here and there), but she is a great doctor and cares about her patient. This review is from my mom. Dr. Law treated my elderly mother for an eye infection but her condition is so much complicated than a regular person. She have had a DCR done before (a tear duct operation) and the area was getting infected. Although Dr. Law wasn't her surgical Opthamologist, but she was very patient and though in providing options to treat my mom's condition. With her healthcare, my mom had a lot of pushbacks from other referrals and Dr. Law was always there to lend her support. I also found her to be a very thorough and extremely caring doctor with bed side manner that you don't see anymore. read more

She is very awesome! Despite the fact that there is a long wait time (usually about an hour), she is an amazing doctor! She is very courteous and knows what she's doing plus more. Dr. Law will also go over any questions and concerns even though it seems like she's rushing between rooms. Just make sure you bring something to do in the waiting room for at least an hour and you should be okay. Plus, her staff is very efficient and even go out of their way to make things easier for you (one of her staff helped me book an appointment at a facility today without me asking). P.S. I had a swollen upper eye lid so went to see Dr Lisa Law. She saw me within 10 minutes of my appointment time and the office staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility also seemed pretty clean with up-to-date equipment. Dr Law made me feel very comfortable while also giving me eye tests. She was extremely patient and took her time to explain to me what was going on and what my ailment may be. She ultimately determined I had a small cyst that should go away with cream and anti-biotics. Dr Law has a great demeanor and handled my situation in such a way that I left very happy with her treatment. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an opthamologist. read more
