Item was not completed when promised, and there was no compensation for my time - to return and pick up the item. I'm not sure if it was hurried, but the item didn't fit quite right after. The explanation was that the alteration caused the change. If this was known to be the result, I would think that would have been explained before. To fix the fit they made a last minute tweak which will get me by, but unfortunately it doesn't look as nice. read more

My sister in law was frantic about a few mishaps that she was experiencing with her Mother of the Bride gown . she called all around to seek a seamstress /tailor. She tried everywhere . I bought my 3 bridesmaids and myself some jewelry from here. I received mine and it was really cheaply made, yet I paid $75 dollars for it. The earrings didn't align properly with the backings and the silver paint was peeling off of it. My maid of honor's backing of her earring snapped off the main part the first time she put them on. We had to super glue it to keep them together. The owner herself is super nice and I feel bad writing this review, but I paid a lot for this jewelry only to receive poor quality things. read more

Lisa Marie is one of the nicest most talented people. After finding out another seamstress in town went out of business and not wanting to use my bridal salon we found Lisa Maries during an online search. She was so patient with me and understood that I wanted to be very conservative on my wedding day. Her craftsmanship is like no one else, she hand sewed the lace hem of my dress so that it looked as if it came from the manufacturer. Her due date was in November which was really close to my wedding (October) so she made sure to have everything done well in advance so that I would have my dress in hand for the big day. She also squeezed me into a last minute fitting in order to make a small tuck to the dress in order for me to be happy. Her pricing is extremely reasonable and her bubbly personality makes you feel like you have known her for ages. Not only did she alter my dress she also did the mother of the bride and groom dresses as well. I would certainly recommend using Lisa Marie for any occasion. read more

Yeah, that's not what the agreement was. I had made two appointments with you, the first one was for the hem of the dress and the straps to be done. And yes, I would get the dress cleaned and return it to you so you could take in the sides. There was no mention of temporary stitching anything. When I picked up the dress, there was still no mention of temporary stitches in the straps. Your defense doesn't even make sense. Why would you start working on the dress if it needed to be pressed and "squished" for you to be able to work on the straps? Why not tell me that when I first came in? Or why start working on them before the dress was pressed? And I'm sorry to say, those stitches weren't temporary, even in your email you don't mention that they are temporary... you said you "didn't like how they came out either, and had to do them by hand because the straps wouldn't sit still in the sewing machine" so to me that implies they were not meant to be temporary stitches. I took my nieces prom dress here to be altered. She needed the dress taken up and the very ornate back taken in. When we came in for my nieces fitting the staff was extremely helpful, professional and extremely nice. Lisa pinned the dress and when the day came to pick it up it fit my niece perfectly. She looked amazing. The cost was very reasonable. Honestly I thought it was going to cost more because of the material of the dress and the back being so ornate.
