As soon as I met Paul (owner), I knew I wanted to give him my business. He was honest, friendly, and helped me feel comfortable as a CUSTOMER rather than another sale. We immediately talked price range and he refused to push me into anything above what I said I was comfortable with. He special ordered a few diamonds in for me to see the next day because he had some that were below and above what I was looking for but not quite in my "sweet spot". When I returned, he had them all ready to go and took me out in the parking lot to see them under the sun! We went through each diamond and he pointed out what he liked and didn't like about each one. In the end, I purchased a beautiful ring and Paul delivered within a few days. He even opened early for me on a weekend so I could sneak out to pick it up. Simply excellent. Bellestar will be my "go to" place for gifts in the future. Don't even consider anywhere else!

Gary inspected the ring in great detail and made a recommendation to remove some of the shank and rebuild it, as well as to place tension springs to prevent spinning and slipping. He took his time to measure my finger for the optimal fit. I was told by another jeweler that all of my prongs needed replacement and I wanted a second opinion. Gary again took his time to inspect all the prongs and reassured me that they didn't need replacement. I was very glad for his honesty. The next business day, Gary fixed the ring in 3-4 hours and it came out beautifully. I was so nervous previously to entrust someone with my ring, but I felt at ease. Gary offered that I stay and watch the entire process. He told me to inspect my gemstone carefully after his job was complete as general good practice after having my jewelry worked on! I am so happy with the end result and strongly recommend this jeweler. The key factors that impressed me most were honesty, trustworthiness, attention to detail, patience, mastery of his craft, and sharing of knowledge/providing an understandable rationale for his decision-making. Ok so here is my first review for this business. Now I thought they were a franchise, but there are an independent. I was walking around the hanover mall shopping for my daughter then I saw a sign outside on the glass that said "get your diamonds remounted here." So I figured I would stop in and ask someone about their service and how it worked. When I got in I was kindly greeted by two young ladies they told me they were in sales and that the owner would come out in a minute to help me. They although went over the repair process. Let me tell you, my wifes ring was completely butchered in Boston where I had taken it previously and I did not want to tell my wife lol. (I was frantic at this point) because I just needed a solution to this. I was so dissapointed I had to pay for a butcherd crappy service job. When George, the owner, looked at the ring he explained what was wrong with her ring in a 360 view, he took his time with me, never rushed me, and honestly made me feel confident. He told me give him an hour do some shopping and come back. I went back within 40 minutes and it was done. My wifes ring is a simple boston setting so for the previous jeweler to ruin her ring was dissapointing. George thickened the shanks, he even buffed, polished, dipped the rings in WG solution just to give it a better shine. I was very pleased and for little cost. I will be doing business with the nice young ladies and George in the future. Thanks Nasr!! read more

I simply cannot say enough about the outstanding help I received from George and the rest of the staff at Nasr Jeweler's in Hanover this week!!! They brought me to tears not once, but twice! After a horribly failed attempt on my part, of cleaning an irreplaceable ring that was given to me by someone near and dear to my heart who passed away, I thought that there was nothing that could be done to salvage the ring. I was devastated. With little hope, I brought the ring, and a necklace in need of a simple repair in to Nasr and their amazing staff assured me that not only could they fix the necklace while I did some shopping that day, they could have the ring ready for me the next day. And, for much, much less money than I ever would have thought. To my surprise, when I went to pick up the necklace, George the jeweler, upon hearing the backstory about my ring had fixed the ring too! Not only did he fix it, it was better than new! Amazing!!!! My fiance and I recently went to Nasr Jewelers. We were shopping for wedding bands and accidentally came across this jewelry store. We were treated with amazing customer service. Marisa and George were patient, attentive and flexible. We purchased what we thought would be our bands. We then decided to spend the next day downtown also shopping around. After many hours of shopping in downtown Boston, I decided to change my band and returned to Nasr for a refund on the women's wedding band. We sat with George to go over options and based on all our research and what I was looking for George matched and exceeded our expectations. We left Nasr pleased and satisfied with the service and the purchase. It is clear that George enjoys what he does and at this location you can have same day service on pretty much most requests if not all. I don't usually post reviews because I find customer service lacking in so many areas and I don't have the time or the willingness to spend my time posting negative online reviews. Today my visit to NASR Jewelers gives me hope that customer service is not a completely lost art. Ten years ago (4/17) I did spend some money at the store on some gifts for our wedding party but other than that I have not made any purchases there. George not only remembered me but altered my mother-in-law's ring for me. Her husband had passed away and she wanted to turn the wedding ring into a necklace. I brought it to Nasr and George not only did a fantastic job, right there on the spot, he refused to take any money for the beautiful work he had done. I have been going to Nasars for over 20 years.i have bought many items from them and have had nothing but great help and great prices and most of all great service!! They take pride in every aspect of their store and help you with any questions you may have!!!Also I have had repairs done on ring sizing, settings in all of my wife's jewelry,also he has custom made me rings bracelets, chains, extra. I have had many batteries put in my watches threw the years and never had a problem, and I have 5 watches and they are all different makes and I only trust them to do the batteries because I know they will do a fine job,and they always do!!! Had a wonderful experience with George. Initially went to NASR to get rid of some gold jewelry that I had no need for. I was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of money I received. I also brought in a gold watch that the band had broken on. I had previously gone to a jeweler in Hingham many years ago. That person said the band couldn't be repaired. It would need a new band costing thousands of dollars. George said he could fix it while I waited and didn't charge me anything. He just made my day because the watch had a great deal of sentimental value to me read more

As a LOYAL and long time NASR customer I don't trust my jewelry or watch repairs with anyone else. I often bring my Fendi, Coach, Raymond Weil, and Movado watches in for battery changes and services and I have yet to run into any problems with the service. When it comes to prices NASR actually is one of the most affordable around and they stand behind their work. Not only have I purchased things in the past and have had repairs done, but I have also asked on more than one occasion for a donation to a charitable event and George was more than gracious to donate. read more

I went in just to cash in some gold. I honestly stopped at multiple cash for gold spots because I was comparing numbers. When I went in I dealt with George Nasr the owner, he was very fast at checking my items and when he weighed them he even gave me extra for my stones. He honestly gave me the best price out of all stores I walked in. With that said, I ended up leaving with a custom made ring made in the SAME DAY. I have never had such fast service in my life. I've been doing business with Nasr of Hanover for at least 10 years. I ran across the "watch review" and had to add my own review. They made my engagement and wedding rings, and made sure everything was just right. They make me feel welcome every time I come in, and offer to clean my jewelry. Started to be worn early 2019, after being resized. He opted for a platinum band due to it being stronger than white gold (per the jeweler). immediately there were problems. I want to start by saying, we DID sign up for the service plan and we did bring it in every 6 months consistently for upkeep, up until 2022 when we just gave up. More often then every 6 months, the Diamond would come lose. not only just lose, but extremely lose. We were bringing this ring in probably every 4-6 months, to "tighten" the diamond in place. Nothing seemed to work. It was constant. I was unable to wear my new engagement ring because it eventually had to be "shipped out" numerous times to be properly "tightened". well, fast track to 2022. I'm literally sitting at my office job, and i feel some pressure on my ring finger. i look and my platinum ring is completely distorted. cracked at the bottom. bent. you name it. I was lucky i saw it when i did, or it could have completely fallen off, to be lost. (pics attached). I was so upset. We brought it to Reeds immediately, and heather belittled us. Told us this had to have been from an injury, or some type of accident that caused the ring to crush. Mind you, there were no injuries on my hand...just a bent ring. bent at the BOTTOM. if something crushed it, it would crack at the sides, not the bottom. she was so rude. offered to send it off and they could 'see what they could do'. since we had the service plan, they so graciously poorly sawdered the ring back together. the band came back so flimsy, thin, and theres a huge gash at the bottom were you can clearly see the defect. A few months later, i got a new job. we cannot wear anything that sets off a a metal detector. Surprise. my engagement ring sets it off. I can no longer wear my "100% platinum ring" to work. I reached out to cooperate, and they told me the that ring contains nickel, and is 90-95% platinum. no a big deal, but we would have picked gold if we had known this could have been an issue. cooperate also, had almost no records of us constantly bringing it in for the lose diamond. only once or twice was it recorded in their system.... we stopped going back to service visits after this. we were quite frankly done doing business with Heather. well, fast forward to today and my diamond is loose again. My husband brought it in, and heather once again belittled us, telling my husband i should be taking 'proper care' of my ring. the ring that i cannot and do not even wear 4/7 days of the week. (also, was not worn for a year due to pregnancy). she claimed our service plan relapsed and very hastily told my husband shed sent it out for appraisal. i reached out to cooperate again, and the had the director of manufacturing access the ring. They told us they recommended having the ring recasted completely, and redesigning the head design. they said the RESIZING LIKELY compromised the integrity of my band which could be why the ring crushed and has had issues. weird, nobody told us getting the band resized would potentially cause any issues. when my husband got this ring designed, nobody legit nobody warned him of ANY issues. However, they claimed we did not purchase the service contract AT ALL now..so we can 'reinvest' in our ring, if we would like. funny, - i thought all these issues were only my fault? oh yeah, we dropped off my wedding band we purchased from them as well, married in 9/21, wore the ring for 1 year before taking it off for pregnancy. two diamonds already missing. i have a third diamond band from Kay. no service plan, no 6 month services, legit not one problem with that ring. currently waiting for them to contact me. Hopefully they will fix this issue properly. seriously take your money elsewhere.

King Jewelers The Good, The Bad, & the Ugly…read more The Good Stopped by King for first time because it was locally owned women's business. I asked them to do a Pearl pin repair, they did a great job 5 out of 5 stars. While there I inquired about a first time lab diamond band , ( perfer natural, but it was kinda impulse buy) and paid $3500.00 . I was, my wife was- a bit shy on "lab"grown, but the salesperson said, yes but they are diamonds". Anyway I did it. The Bad Well that "lab" designation finally got to us on the drive home. After talking about it, I thought it best to trade up to a 10,000 ring mine back plus say $7000 - even if after just 10 days we expected to lose 1500.00 bucks. I was told no by them on taking it back. No to buying it back for $1000. less either. It's is important for future vistors, ask for papers on the rating of the diamonds, none was provided to us, ( lab diamonds also have one) that really seemed wrong. Additionally on the invoice it said no returns on lab diamonds. That would also have been nice to know prior to the purchase, not on a receipt post sale discovery. Ulgy There was push back asking for the lab rating. They needed to see it and per the owner weigh them. I said, so you bought these without that information? She said she knew but I got nothing. I took them the a certified gemologist for appraisal. I'll post results when I get that here next week. I was told as soon as I left the store with the ring , that it was used thereafter. Look, we are reasonable, I'm now spending 10k ( with others) but the fact they saw no value, even at 1000.00 off what is paid 10 days prior, is ugly. This after you FAILED to be able to tell me anything about the quality of the ring you purchased for resale. You said to me, bring it in, we can examine it and weigh it... How do you buy goods for resale without that. Maybe if I had it at point of purchase I would not have done it. I'm sure you knew the grade at time you bought it... Why not share it. Finally there was no mention about no returns on lab diamonds , no sign in store, no sales information to buyer, yes, thanks for the information on the receipt after the sale. Bottom line, I don't carry if you have been in business 200years, the satisfaction given us was zero... And I clearly offered to take a loss on return . I hope others read the string and see something of a new set of questions one shouldn't have to ask in a trusted relationship.
