****BEWARE....DO NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN****I had an appointment with Ms. Shonda, for my birthday…read morepresent, on 12/21 at 10 am. We text and spoke with each other on 12/19. I texted her a picture of my current length, color, and style. I sent her a photo of one of her clients, and said I wanted that same color. She went over all of the steps before I arrived at her salon, and when I showed up on Saturday. She said because I already had a dark purple on my hair, she would have to lift the color, then remove the remaining color. After putting the bleach on, she put me under the hair dryer. I told her that is was burning, she said it had to penetrate through the darker purple that was deposited. My son accompanied me, and said the process was about 45 minutes. She rinsed my hair, and then added the purple dye. When she rinsed the purple dye from my hair, she started the Global Keratin treatment. Once she rinsed the conditioner, she blow dried my hair, and started washing her other clients' hair. I looked in the mirror, and all of my hair in the middle was missing 7 inches of length. It was gone!! I asked her why she didn't tell me my hair had fallen out, and she asked for me to wait until she had finished rinsing her clients hair. I was devastated, knowing she did this to my hair and she didn't say a word to me. She returned and said what can I do moving forward. I asked her why did she not tell me my hair fell out, and she said it came out when she began to blow dry it. Yet she didn't say anything when this occurred. I had my son take pictures of my scalp, the color is orange and irritated. The color wasn't the same color I had previously texted her either. My boyfriend was there and we asked her what she could do to rectify this, and she said she could cut layers into my hair. I was very distraught, but I was extremely calm. She said she has been in business for 28 years, and this has never happened before. She asked me was I going to sue her, which is very puzzling. We discussed this idea, and decided to let her try and do anything to help. She then proceeded to cut off more of my hair, then she styled it. She tried her best to make it look decent, but all of the previous growth is gone. My boyfriend and I both tried to pay her, but she said her faith would not allow her to accept any money from me. My hair is still falling out, my scalp is irritated and itches. You've responded with, "I wasn't truthful about how long ago I had dyed my hair." As a professional when you evaluated my hair (with over 28 years of experience) not once did you say my hair was over processed. YOU OVER PROCESSED MY HAIR by putting me under the dryer!! YOU'RE THE PROFESSIONAL, I'M THE CLIENT.

My daughter and I arrived five minutes before our 12:00 pm appointment. Another group checked in after us, yet they were taken back first. We weren't called until 12:10, and while I asked that my daughter be started on first (which they did), I was left waiting even longer. When my stylist finally brought me to the shampoo bowl, she apologized, explaining that another client had shown up 30 minutes late. I couldn't understand why management would allow a tardy client to disrupt scheduled appointments. My stylist, Crystal, was very kind and professional. We even talked about how important it was for my hair to last since we had an event in Greenville at 3:00 pm. I specifically asked for hairspray at the end to hold the curls. Unfortunately, by the time we reached our hotel around 2:00 pm, my hair was completely limp with no hold. The style barely lasted an hour, which defeats the purpose of a blowout. While my stylist did her best, the overall management of this location was disappointing. Allowing late clients to interfere with scheduled appointments, giving preferential treatment to guests who arrived after us, and requiring stylists to handle cleaning duties instead of focusing on clients all contribute to a poor customer experience. For context, I've been to Drybar and other blowout salons multiple times and have never had my style fall apart so quickly. I also typically receive a wash, cut, and blowout in under an hour--yet here, the timing felt unnecessarily prolonged, as if designed to increase charges. To be clear, this review is not a reflection on my stylist or my daughter's stylist--both were pleasant and received a 20% tip from me. My concerns are directed at the management and overall business model of this establishment. Would you like me to make this shorter and sharper for posting on Google/Yelp, or keep it in this longer, detailed version (which works well if you want to explain fully what happened)?

I was not sure what to expect and I have extremely long, thick hair, but Michelle did an absolutely amazing job! It turned out better than I could have imagined, and I am extremely happy with the results. They also had a laptop tray that I was able to use to get some work done while getting my hair done. Outstanding touch on the service! The place was also decorated so cute for Easter, which was a cute touch. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Rockwall.

A few weeks ago, after reading the reviews and having been familiar with the Frederic Fekkai…read moresalons, I came for a 1" trim to my long-time, blunt-cut, medium-length (3 inches below the chin), slightly angled bob, beveled a bit underneath at the nape. It was quickly dried and styled in center or side parts, with lots of volume, lift and swing. Elegant and easy. Derek said he couldn't understand me. I should have left immediately. What I have now is an inexplicable cut, 2-5 " off, barely chin length, huge amounts of hair removed, wispy layers everywhere, and texturizing. He has activated a mass of waves and curls never seen before. From the front, the shape is a cartoonish wide diamond. From the sides, a fat wedge. This is the opposite of what is required for copious, European, fine, porous hair with a nape curl and minimal wave. Derek basically has created a White girl Afro. He somehow dried it beautifully, disguising the weird architectural structure by using a tiny brush on myriad narrow strands, drying them straight, and contorting them via elaborate manual sculpting techniques, product and nearly an hour of work. Maybe he planned to do twice-weekly blowdries on it. I have spent many days and dollars elsewhere experimenting with product, techniques and professional advice while attempting to cope. Derek pleasantly refunded the charges and apologized for the "inconvenience." This is far worse than inconvenient.

I can not think of a better way to start my day than being offered a cup of coffee and then having my hair washed and styled. I booked online and arrived with no issues. DryBar is located in that weird Bermuda triangle of where Cedar Springs/Olive/McKinney/Harry Hines all loop around each other, but my GPS took me straight there. To the immediate left of DryBar there is an entrance for a parking garage so that is where I parked. Was happy to find out parking is validated! The music was full blast in the salon and they offer a lot of complimentary drinks before getting started. I had a short consultation to make sure my stylist and I were on the same page and then she took me back to wash my hair. Very relaxing, Back at the chair I found it interesting that they have TVs on the mirrors so instead of watching your hair be styled you can read the subtitles of the movie that was playing. I enjoyed this a lot. Another great distraction to relax. At the end of the session my stylist flipped my chair around so I could see the final product and I was very happy. I will definitely keep this place in my back pocket if I have another reason to get my hair did all fancy like.

So then the third time I went to see Brenda I thought I was getting the same service as last time which was a push up and hair color well half way through what I thought was a push she says she was going to do a maintenance but did not explain the cost nor gave me the option to choose whether I wanted to proceed or not considering the cost of the maintenance was 300.00 + 115.00 well after she clipped my extensions she proceeded to doing what I thought was a push up, well almost 5 hours later she had her niece take me to another room to blow dry my hair and that is when I worked the courage up to ask if that process of 5 hours was the same cost of 150.00 as of last time, as when I went in the previous time for a push up I only lasted 45 mins to to 1 hour..She then said that what she did was a Maintenance to my hair and that would cost 300.00 and additional 115.00 for hair color, when she only colored my roots and side burns..I told her I was not going to pay her the 415.00 because she did not consult with me on the pricing first and I told her it was not fair as I being her client to not have the option to choose my service.. how did she know if I was able to afford 415.00 ?? thinking I was only going to pay 150.00 well she said you are going to have to pay anyway. I gave her a check for 300.00 and said you can take me to court for the Balance..well she called the police and probably fed them lies..so they corned me to pay her the whole balance..well I warned her that I was going to do everything in my power to make sure she did not do this to anyone else! I told her not everyone will have that amount of money when she tries to do a switch and bait, so I told her I would be warning everyone out their that may come In contact with and her buisness. Please Becareful!! and Beware She is A thief and and is not up front with her Clients! I would also like to add that she is in no way professional as she closes down her part of her working area when she has to take her kids to school and when she has personal issues come up and she will reschedule you at last minute . please find someone reputable..
