I am so so sad to write this review. I was really hopeful that this place would be amazing and I would have found my new salon after recently moving to the area. I was wrong though. The outside of this business is really cute... it's essentially what caught my attention one day while I was driving past. But when I walked in today everything looked pretty old and grimey... but still I wanted to give them a chance. The girl sat me down and asked what I was wanting, so I walked her through the details of what I was looking for: trim the dead ends off but leave as much length as possible, cut in some defining layers, and frame my face. She asked if I wanted a wash and I said yes (I kind of expected it came with a wash but I guess that's why we can't assume. Her wash was quick and no real scalp massage, in fact she barely had the conditioner on for 10 seconds before rinsing. Then she sat me down and faced me towards the tv instead of the mirror... this should have been my biggest red flag and that is my bad for not asking to face the mirror. She started the cut and I could tell where it was falling and that it was a good length, couldn't see the back though. Then she pulled out the razor and started hacking away at the front. She asked if I wanted it blow dried (should have said no and just left at this point, but didn't) and I said yes. After she blew it out she started cutting some more... but to me it sounded like thinning shears, so I didn't know she was taking more length off. When she finished and I stood up I was in SHOCK at how much she had cut off. I literally said out loud "oh my goodness it's too short". But at this point what is she going to do if I'm upset? She can't make it grow back. So I came home and cried instead. And I have NEVER cried over hair before... I know it'll eventually grow back. So I guess that shows just how sad I was. Like I said, I didn't want to leave a bad review but I also just want people to be aware that if they try this place they need to watch everything they do to make sure it's too your liking. read more

I would give this salon zero stars if I could. I will NEVER go there again. I went there yesterday and hate my haircut. The stylist did not look at the pictures I brought to show her how I wanted my layers to look. On top of that she decided without me asking to thin out my hair. She took off more than 1 inch. It was a disaster and I'm miserable. If you decide to go to this place. Check everything she does. She spun me around so I didn't see what she was doing. I should have been less trusting. My mistake. I called this place the afternoon before the day I wanted to go in for a haircut to see if they accept walk-ins, and the lady told me to make an appointment instead. She suggested 10am, and I knew they open //at// 10am which was fine by me. I showed up and waited for 30min but she never showed. There was another barber there, and she asked for my name & number. The lady I spoke on the phone apparently never wrote them down even though she asked me for them. My mistake not asking for her name when I spoke with her on the phone, though. The other barber was very nice and friendly; however, the $10 haircut was not worth it. I asked her not to cut it too short, and that's exactly what she did. Even though this place offers a very affordable price, I will not be coming back. Mostly because of what I experienced right off the start. I'm very disappointed that someone would //pretend// to write a customer's information down AND not show up for the appointment. read more

Awesome cut and bayalage! My go to hairdresser had medical issues and could no longer cut and color my hair; I've spent the last several years looking for someone like Sandra to replace him. Absolutely the best cut and bayalage; I can wash and curl my hair and it still looks good the next day. She was very attentive and really listened. Took her time too. Irma has been my lifesaver!! She is so sweet and is the first hairdresser where I have left the salon feeling like I got the cut/color/style that was exactly what I wanted! She is a mindreader/miracle worker. I have started to go to her once a month because she keeps my hair looking perfect. Walk-ins welcome... I THINK NOT! I went to this salon with my son and told them that we needed trims. They said ok and called my son back. Other people came in and were immediately sent back. I heard a customer say in Spanish to one of the ladies working that I was waiting in the waiting room and that I had gotten there first. The worker ignored it. (Most people would not assume that I speak Spanish fluently). When my son was finished, they asked for the money. I told them that I wanted to pay for us both at the same time. That is when they informed me that they did not have time to do my hair and that I should have made an appointment. I was very upset at the time, but now I consider myself lucky because my son was not so lucky. His hair is completely ruined! Honestly? I'm a lot more than disappointed. My mother's hair was done beautifully, (though by a different stylist) and I've recently moved so I needed a new place to get my hair cut and dyed. So poor oblivious past me decided to try it out, as the prices were decent and they accepted walk-ins. For the record this was exactly 3 days ago. Looking back, it's very obvious that the stylist didn't know what she was doing. She completely ignored me and did almost every single thing I asked her not to do. I am very lucky that my hair grows fast, as while I did want it short, specifying that I didn't care how short it was as long as it wasn't below a certain length (1"). That evening, I found it so short that I could barely grab it with my tiny fingers. It's also very uneven, the layers aren't even qualified to be called layers, and nothing is smoothed out. I could go on, but those were the main points so I'll stick with those. Short and blunt, my friend was looking through it and said that it looked like the lady just hacked away at it. Hello, beanies for the rest of the month! Ending it all, the worst part has to be, despite wanting to go back for a refund, (I was sobbing for the rest of the evening, couldn't really think enough to want a refund right then) they had this thing where they text you the receipt. And I never got said text. So, there goes the twenty something bucks that should've gone towards getting my hair fixed. If anything, my only consolation is that not only will I never return, I only just realized that (as I barely even made it to the car before breaking down), I completely forgot to tip her. Which means she missed out, as I always give 10 dollars (sometimes even more, and regardless of the price) to anyone who does my hair for putting up with my fidgeting. read more
