The biscuits are crazy! Huge and delicious - get one

Very good home style food. We were just driving through and decided to pull off to get something to eat in this small town. As we looked at our options we weren't sure if we had made the right decision or not, but Lisa's country kitchen was the right choice! It is a decent sized restaurant, with a country style that matches its name. Wait staff was very friendly and we were seated right away. We both opted for breakfast items and everything was very tasty. The star of the show was The homemade biscuit. They are huge and so good! I wish I had gotten biscuits and gravy on the side. The pies looked incredible, and make us want to come back again next time we are driving through town.

We stopped at Lisa's country kitchen for breakfast today. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We were seated right away and the service was out standing. The food was fresh hot and delicious. We loved the cowboy country ambiance. You have to give this place a try when traveling the 15 interstate or if you are a local.

Driving home from Salt Lake City for the first time I wasn't expecting to find a gem in the midst of nowhere, but Lisa's is just that. From extremely enthusiastic wait staff to tasty comfort food, this place was a surprise amidst the gas stations and quick stop fare. I had the chicken strips which were not overly breaded and were tender and juicy inside. The prices are great and if I ever pass that way again will make it pur break spot

The service here is really outstanding! Fried pickles were really good and looks/tastes like they are made fresh in house. Yum! The cheeseburgers are definitely made fresh and by hand. They could use a hint of seasoning but otherwise delish! The fries were really good but could use just a little more cook time. GET THE SCONE STICKS!!! They are soooo good! The restaurant is way cute. A really cool country vibe. We really enjoyed our visit. We are from Salt Lake but would absolutely come again if we head south!

Steak breakfast is amazing. The biscuits are hot and fresh. Great place for food.

Wonderful meal, great service, music is refreshing and not loud. Great place to stop and rest. Get a good meal.

After a long day traveling we decided to stop in Nephi for the night. Nephi is definitely a tiny town with no much to eat or do especially after the sun goes down. Everything closes pretty early. We arrived around 8pm and Lisa's was one of the only late night options besides fast food. It's also one of the only ones who serves beer. Don't Get too hopeful with the options. They have no draft beer, but offer a few bottles. Quite expensive, but you are in Utah. Service was great and it smelled heavenly. With it being cold out and all that driving I was really looking forward to a cozy type meal. A few of us opted for the NY steak. One with baked potato and one mashed. We also ordered a country fried steak and vegetable beef soup. Everything came out quickly. Looked great and the rolls that came with our meals went so well with the soup. The soup was amazing and had huge chunks of beef. The flavor was phenomenal as well. Steaks were a bit on the fatty side, but still good. My son really enjoyed the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and gravy vibe was pretty chill and what you probably envisioned a country kitchen to look like. I'd eat here again. Sorry no pics of the soup or rolls because I scarfed them down ha ha

Well cruising through middle America Utah and was looking for something off the 15 NOT gas station food or crappy fast food...thankfully this place had HUGE billboards leading the way. The restaurant is spacious and cozy. Lisa cooks here! Lovely family history and plenty of amazing selections. The pies and desserts look fab but alas I'm always too full. Started with a cup of the soup of the day...nice fresh Italian meatball. Next up the Navajo Taco which is a scone - more like an epic fry bread - topped with homemade chili, lettuce, cheese, salsa and sour cream! Wow! Would recommend as a great homey, friendly place to land!

Great little diner. Staff was friendly and the food was good. It was all decorated for valentines and was a lot of fun.

We recently tried one of their steak offerings that they told us was just as good as a filet mignon and while I can't think of the cut off the top of my head it was soooo delicious. Juicy, tender and to die for. I'm so incredibly happy we purchased some local beef. The taste difference is unreal. I do wish that they offered smaller sized chicken portions to purchase. So I hope they cinder that in the future. I plan on visiting the store & restaurant soon in the near future. Please support local farmers!

Got the burnt ends appetizer (like…read moreeverybody else does ), soup of the day (clam chowder, and we really recommend it), and ribeyes with garlic mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes with smoked gouda and bacon, grilled broccolini with Parmesan, and the carrots/asparagus with the ribeye. Was surprised to receive a palate cleanser before the entree (passionfruit coconut sorbet) which was fun! We even got the creme brulee for dessert which was fantastic. And this steakhouse serves fluffy yeast rolls and tiny corn muffins with a delicious honey butter that has a crunchy honey wafer in it. And our waiter Tanner took such great care of us and helped our first visit to be an unforgettable experience! Can't wait for the next visit!

They were not; they were actually 50% or more higher at the restaurant. The hamburger that was showing on Yelp for $15 was actually $22. The Steak Frites advertised for $22 were $35. I understand inflation, but this was a gross enough difference that it borders on deception, in my opinion. I also had a bad experience with my food: I ordered a cup of their chili (which they claim is made from scratch, on-site) and it was brought to the table cold. Like, "right out of a can" cold. Kelsi, our fantastic server, returned it to the kitchen where (I presume) they nuked it and brought it back. It was heated, but not very tasty. Flat; under-seasoned; mushy textured. Definitely something I'd never order again. Many reviews say the atmosphere is "loud" but what they mean is, it's "LOUD". We were seated inside, and it was nearly impossible for the three of us to converse. The acoustics are not great. Enough cons; how about some pros? My burger was FANTASTIC! piled high with caramelized onions and pastrami, but beef patty tasted like it'd just come off a charcoal grill. Terrific flavor in every bite. (The parmesan fries were tasty, too, but a little on the soggy side.) My dining partners each had a salad (one 'wedge' and one 'beetroot') and both were well-prepared and generously portioned. And, finally, the staff, the location, the vibe: All really first-rate. I'll probably come back, if I ever recover from the bait'n'switch sticker shock. (But I'll steer clear of the chili and opt to dine on the patio, if that's available!)
