Driving home from Salt Lake City for the first time I wasn't expecting to find a gem in the midst of nowhere, but Lisa's is just that. From extremely enthusiastic wait staff to tasty comfort food, this place was a surprise amidst the gas stations and quick stop fare. I had the chicken strips which were not overly breaded and were tender and juicy inside. The prices are great and if I ever pass that way again will make it pur break spot

The service here is really outstanding! Fried pickles were really good and looks/tastes like they are made fresh in house. Yum! The cheeseburgers are definitely made fresh and by hand. They could use a hint of seasoning but otherwise delish! The fries were really good but could use just a little more cook time. GET THE SCONE STICKS!!! They are soooo good! The restaurant is way cute. A really cool country vibe. We really enjoyed our visit. We are from Salt Lake but would absolutely come again if we head south!

Steak breakfast is amazing. The biscuits are hot and fresh. Great place for food.

Wonderful meal, great service, music is refreshing and not loud. Great place to stop and rest. Get a good meal.

After a long day traveling we decided to stop in Nephi for the night. Nephi is definitely a tiny town with no much to eat or do especially after the sun goes down. Everything closes pretty early. We arrived around 8pm and Lisa's was one of the only late night options besides fast food. It's also one of the only ones who serves beer. Don't Get too hopeful with the options. They have no draft beer, but offer a few bottles. Quite expensive, but you are in Utah. Service was great and it smelled heavenly. With it being cold out and all that driving I was really looking forward to a cozy type meal. A few of us opted for the NY steak. One with baked potato and one mashed. We also ordered a country fried steak and vegetable beef soup. Everything came out quickly. Looked great and the rolls that came with our meals went so well with the soup. The soup was amazing and had huge chunks of beef. The flavor was phenomenal as well. Steaks were a bit on the fatty side, but still good. My son really enjoyed the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and gravy vibe was pretty chill and what you probably envisioned a country kitchen to look like. I'd eat here again. Sorry no pics of the soup or rolls because I scarfed them down ha ha

Perfect portions. Kids ate everything! The food came out hot and fast. The employees were so friendly!

Well cruising through middle America Utah and was looking for something off the 15 NOT gas station food or crappy fast food...thankfully this place had HUGE billboards leading the way. The restaurant is spacious and cozy. Lisa cooks here! Lovely family history and plenty of amazing selections. The pies and desserts look fab but alas I'm always too full. Started with a cup of the soup of the day...nice fresh Italian meatball. Next up the Navajo Taco which is a scone - more like an epic fry bread - topped with homemade chili, lettuce, cheese, salsa and sour cream! Wow! Would recommend as a great homey, friendly place to land!

Such a great place! Cute rodeo decor, friendly service, yummy food. We tried the burger and the Navajo taco, both were fresh and delicious.

My family and I check out the Spring City Heritage Day celebration every year in conjunction with…read moreEphraim's Scandinavian Festival. We typically stay somewhere near Spring City, so we get breakfast at Das Cafe. We arrived at 9 AM and while they had several customers, it wasn't as busy as we were afraid of. This was actually my third visit, and it continues to deliver. Unfortunately, they weren't seating outside this time (the outdoor dining area is a gem when they do), but the food was delicious. I ordered a Mormon Mocha, which was really good and my kids loved it too. It actually tasted more like cocoa than a coffee substitute. The Big Max was solid, but I definitely preferred my wife's German Sausage Breakfast, especially with that buttery crispy rye bread. She swapped me her brats for my ham, which worked out great. If you prefer ham over German sausage, it's worth asking if they'll accommodate that for the sandwich. One heads-up for parents: we asked if the animal pancakes were comparable in taste and portion to a short stack, since the cost would have been about the same for two kids. We were told they were, but my mom ordered the short stack and you definitely get more pancake, and we all agreed the texture was noticeably better. Stick with the short stack. And if you haven't tried the signature carrot cake, it's decadent enough for the whole table to enjoy a few bites. Prost!

The matcha was really good (as a Californian, I don't usually have high hopes for Utah matcha, but I was very happy). Got my brother a toasted marshmallow latte with toasted marshmallow cold foam. I had a disappointing experience at Peace on Earth Coffee…read more I specifically ordered a matcha latte with a substitution for health reasons, so accuracy mattered to me. I made sure to confirm this substitution was available before placing my order. After drinking it, I became concerned that my substitution had not been applied, so I tried to contact the store. It took multiple calls to reach a manager, but once I did, they acknowledged that a new employee had likely made a mistake and apologized. Although it was difficult to get in touch with someone, I appreciate their willingness to hear my concerns and their attempts to rectify the situation. When I returned to the store for the agreed-upon refund, however, the experience became frustrating. The manager, Aubrey, initially attempted to refund me for a less expensive drink and seemed unwilling to believe me when I explained what I had paid. I clarified that I was not seeking reimbursement for the tip, only the agreed-upon refund for my purchase. Her tone felt irritated and dismissive throughout the interaction. Fortunately, I still had my receipt with me and was able to verify the correct amount. Mistakes happen, and I appreciate that the store acknowledged the possibility of an error. What disappointed me most was how the refund was handled. I left feeling that my concerns were met with skepticism rather than understanding. Additionally, on a completely separate side note, while I was there, I noticed a customer had a dog inside the café. When I first visited with my friend, we had her dog with us and we were told dogs were only welcome on the patio because they had an open kitchen. So it was unexpected to see this dog inside and drinking from a reusable customer water cup provided by Peace on Earth. The inconsistency in enforcing store policies was surprising. I hope the business uses this as an opportunity to improve employee training and customer service.
