I've been meaning to write a review for Lisa for the longest time because what she did to my hair was amazing! Even before cutting it she had a talk with me about my hair history. No one has ever asked me about my hair history before so you can tell how much care and thought she puts into her clients' hair. I told her about everything I'm experiencing with my hair. My hair is prone to breakage and gets damaged really easily. Lisa offered some suggestions about how I should be taking care of my hair, and recommended a shampoo and conditioner based on the information I gave to her and her thoughts on my hair after working on it. It's been 2 months and my hair still feels really healthy! This is the longest it has felt healthy, and some days it still feels like it was just cut. For the longest time I've been getting my hair cut and was always satisfied, but when Lisa cut it it was the first time in a long time where I actually LOVED it. Lisa was incredible. She spent over 2 hours with me, asking everything from my hair care regimen and routine to what I like and dislike about my hair. She really listened to every detail and wanted to make my hair exactly how I wanted. Lisa is amazing! I can enter her salon with hair like a Brillo pad, and leave feeling like an ad for a hair commercial. She's very attentive - at the beginning of each appointment, we talk about what I want and how she'll achieve it. She has great advice for when I want to try something new. She's a wizard with color and can achieve whatever effect you're after (for me that means going a bit darker than my natural color for the base, and adding warm highlights). My hair even feels healthier after she colors it, with tons of shine and bounce. Her expert cuts allow me to wear my crazy thick, curly hair either natural or blown out. She's so caring and professional that I never worry when I'm in her chair since I know she'll make me look my best. And after a visit with Lisa, I always receive tons of compliments! After happily seeing Lisa for over twenty years myself, now my husband and four year old son have gotten amazing haircuts from Lisa as well! We have had two family haircut sessions with Lisa where we have all three gone in together and gotten our hair done one by one. Lisa is truly a Jedi Master when it comes to doing hair. She listens very carefully and communicates as she goes when necessary to make sure that she and her clients are on the same page about what she is creating for them. Lisa is a true MASTER of her craft with a smile that lights up a room. I trust her with dramatic changes like chopping off my hair and of course for maintenance cuts/color. When I'm going for a big change I tend to bring inspiration pics. You know how some some stylists just look at the picture and start cutting? Not Lisa!! Lisa is just wonderful! I met her at a charity event in Hollywood. I donated 12 inch of my hair to Wigs for Kids and Lisa was the one who did the cut for me. She was so great and kind and offered me a proper hair cut because of my donation. I ended up driving all the way from Anaheim to her studio in Beverly Hills the next weekend because I knew she would do a great job. I trusted her with my hair and I am so happy with my choice. Even though I am not a "regular" paying customer, she still took her time and really tried to make my hair perfect. I've never had such short hair since elementary school and wasn't sure about how it would look when I donated, but I walked out of her studio a confident lady feeling fabulous. She is a great lady who is kind, generous, and awesome at her job. I would recommend her to anyone who's looking for a patient and wonderful hair stylist. Thank goodness I found Lisa!! I'm relatively new to LA and needed a haircut very badly. Luckily, my sorority sisters recommended Lisa. Usually I dread haircuts because sometimes my hair dressers mess it up so badly. Yes I have thick hair but how hard is layers?? I do not dread going to Lisa. I actually look forward to it!! Best haircut I've had in years. Lisa listened to what I wanted out of my visit to her lovely salon, and proposed a few great ideas based on my comments. Then all I had to do was sit back, enjoy a soothing shampoo wash and head massage, and watch my image be taken to the next level. My haircut was everything I wanted and so much more-- she was able to take my vision and elevate it; I got what I wanted but couldn't describe. Lisa is a fantastic cut and color expert! She has been doing my very curly hair for about 20 years and has helped me with different styles, including straight with the Brazilian Blowout. She is always very interested in finding out how I'm feeling about my hair and what I want to change. You never have to fear that she will impose her own opinion and give you something you didn't ask for. THE HAIR WHISPERER!!! I have found the only woman who will ever cut and color my hair from now on. She is magic. I have rather dull brown hair with no spark to it. What a find! I've been going to Lisa for a few years now and have even brought my daughters in for their haircuts since they were old enough to sit in the big chairs. I've always been more than happy with the way Lisa cuts and colors my hair. She always listens to me, evaluates how my hair held up since the last time, and always looks at how we can do things better. I call her the Hair Intellectual--she's always thinking. Now my daughter is a teenager and I brought her in for her first set of highlights or babylights as Lisa called them. Lisa absolutely promised that my daughter would be happy. I thought that was a pretty bold promise but she was right, my daughter was totally thrilled--not too much, not too little, just right for a first age appropriate set of highlights. My daughter bounced out of the salon and has had a smile on for weeks. I told Lisa that I think we created a monster because now I don't think she will ever be able to live without highlights again.
