Even though I was only there for a somewhat simple haircut, she really took the time to ensure it was everything I wanted and more. She's been doing my color and cuts for over 4 years and she's taken me from very blonde to very brunette, and now highlighted again! I'm a naturally graying brunette and she can get the tones of my darker base color looking warm and natural and my highlights sun kissed. Cuts are always a little at first, more if needed. A MILLION STARS FOR MADISON! Up until very recently I was a hair color virgin - and unfortunately my first experience wasn't great. Despite going to a high-end salon in Beverly Hills that supposedly specialized in Asian ombres, I walked out with hair that looked nothing like the photo I brought in. And after going back a second time, my hair looked even WORSE. Chunky highlights on my right side were a completely different shade/tone than the finer highlights on my left. Needless to say, I was not happy. Enter: Madison Keeler. I stumbled across Madison's instagram and it took me about 10 seconds before I texted her to make an appointment - her work is THAT good. You can just tell by the way she manages her instagram that she has an eye for detail and an eye for taste. I arrived at Salon Republic unit #44 in Beverly Hills for my appointment a week later and could not have had a better experience. Madison is so sweet, funny, attentive, and also has the best music playing in the background. The other reviewers were not lying when they said it's like you're hanging out with a friend who just happens to be a hair goddess. On top of this, Madison has amazing technique and uses all these little tricks to make the balayage process more seamless and your hair more blended. She also doesn't rush (my appointment was 4-5 hours start to finish) and for the work she does, is completely fair with her pricing. I walked out of the salon with hair that looked EXACTLY as I had originally imagined and even better than the inspiration photo I brought in. Madison somehow managed to blend away the chunky stripes I had on the right side of my head and lightened my hair without it looking high-contrast. The balayage sombre looks sooo natural that even my own mother asked me if my hair had naturally gotten lighter or if I had highlighted it! I can't recommend Madison enough - she is a miracle worker. If you are looking for a natural balayage, please go see her! You will not be disappointed. I initially wanted to go to Guy Tang because he's the Asian ombre master, but he was booked up. I've lived in California for three years, and have had my hair done only once before Madison. After that experience, I was pretty hesitant to go anywhere else having had my hair colored way too light for my liking, but after practically stalking Madison on Instagram I made an appointment for her to correct what I had done from elsewhere. Madison is down to earth, knowledgable and honest! I've been going to her for almost a year and have had my haircut fixed, balayage and even did my hair for my wedding this past May! It's hard to find really skilled and talented stylists let alone nice and friendly ones! I like to know the whole process and she explains everything she is doing while doing it. You even learn a thing or two! She's honest about what looks good, and what your hair can handle at the moment. I started going to her and my hair was very dark. Madison has completely transformed my hair. I have very dark (almost black) natural hair. It's extremely hard to lighten or to make look good.
