An eye exam by an optometrist is suppose to be free every year under medicare. Instead extra tests were performed without my authorization. Medicare said they will not cover the additional tests. I do not recommend this division of Eye Assoc. of Santa Fe.

I have never had to return more lenses/glassware in my life! In over five cases, I have had to…read morereturn at least three EACH of the lenses due to either bad prescription or poor manufacturing. It takes MONTHS (not days or weeks) for replacements to arrive. I am still awaiting a correct prescription in May 2026 from a November 2025 visit!!!! In addition, i have had numerous cases where "after refurbishment" the lenses fall out. I highly recommend any provider over this one!!

I even called the Optometry…read moredepartment at Wal Mart for a recommendation and although they recommended Dr Meneakis/Mc Closky they also had the same telephone number that is listed in the directory for Optometrist in Espanola. Get your correct phone numbers up to date!! It's extremely frustrating to try to contact a listed phone number that is a FAX number. You just lost a potential customer!!

Everyone makes you feel relaxed and he doesn't rush through the exams. Good selection of frames to choose from. I usually choose men's frames because I like the more bulky look but they have nice woman frames as well. They are just not my style. A couple of drawbacks are about the location. The driveway by the road has potholes and depending on which way you are coming you might have to make a u-turn. So if you want to have a good time while getting your eyes checked I would suggest coming here.
