I pity the fool who gives this place less than 4 stars--that should be a crime. Lisa's Chicken & Seafood is a hidden gem where Southern fried perfection meets Chinese kitchen hustle. It took me a while to sit down and write this, probably because I was too busy demolishing every crispy, juicy, flavor-packed piece of chicken. Perfectly seasoned, zero grease, and fried just right. Who knew a Chinese food joint could serve some of the best Southern fried chicken in town? Believe the hype--Lisa's is the real deal.

It was my first time going here with my husband and I'd definitely go back again! The food was great and we both had the 12 pcs shrimp with the 2 sides of our choice. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food we had. So honestly me and my husband could've shared 1 plate instead of getting one of our owns but it's okay! It's still great! You can tell the food was freshly cooked. Meaning the shrimp anyways. My husband ordered the gizzards as well and 2 pieces of chicken so they were EXTREMELY HOT, a sign they were out from the fryer. Staff were totally nice! So yes definitely going back

Always a wait but worth it. Manager Special is the best deal for a family. Would give 5 stars but the place it self is not the best to eat in. In my opinion. It's a fast food place so it's expected. However the food is good and worth coming too.

Unlike the rest of my household I'm no longer working from home. On my drive home from work I got an unexpected call to stop to pick something up for dinner. I went to Lisa's for something different. The service wasn't stellar but it was typical I guess. The food was super basic and definitely not anything we would go out of our way for. The rolls were the hard, dry generic kind. You get 5 rolls with the 10 piece mixed $15.99 along with 2 sides. The Mac and cheese was very regular. The chicken had no extra seasoning, no crunch or tenderness, nothing at all that made it stand out. It's like Albertsons grocery store deli chicken. I got a 2 piece catfish also $4.49 and it did not taste like catfish. I really don't think it is. This Lisa's Chicken & Seafood was just okay.

Not sure if people come here at the right time but when we visit the food is great. The prices are very reasonable and we enjoy it!

Line is usually long but well worth the wait! We are a family of 5 and this is the best place to get family deals and the food is great! My children Love, Love , Love chicken tenders! My husband and I usually get the fried fish! You absolutely cannot beat the deals they have here! The sides do require a little seasoning once you make it home but I really like the food. The staff are usually young and very polite and nice, I have never had a bad experience here!

The chicken itself was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with that signature seasoning that keeps you coming back for more. But let me tell you--the fried pickles are hands down my absolute favorite! Perfectly crispy, not greasy at all, and served hot with that irresistible crunch. I could honestly order those alone and be happy. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, and the service matched the quality of the food--friendly, fast, and attentive. If you're craving real, flavorful fried chicken with a kick, Gus's is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back!

They are still on the DL, so please continue to spread the word and support this lovely small business! EVERYTHING WAS MADE AND DONE WITH SUCH LOVE!! Mary Sue taught these workers well. Order was piping hot. They definitely cook as they go and don't let the food sit under a heat lamp. Tbh, the food was on the spicier side, so if you have a superrrr low spice tolerance like me, try to get extra ranch instead of Mary's signature sauce to balance it out. Chicken and pickle on a stick was a fun and new twist to try! I don't like pickles but my friend said it was good and would buy again. She said the pickles tasted like they make them in house (fresh!!). Not a bad price either ($4.99 I think.. might've been $6.99). Dough boys were yummy! A good glazed donut without the taste of fried oil. If I was craving sugary bread, this is the best dessert to soothe it. The regular roll that comes in the box is truly yummy as well. I got the peach sweet tea and boy it was indeed a true Texas sweet tea. SWEEET!! Delicious. The turn into the restaurant is quite a sharp turn and easy to miss, so slow down so you don't pass it.

From the outside, I expected it to be a smaller spot, but it was actually much bigger than I thought. Everything inside was clean, and even though there were a few people ahead of us in line, the process was simple--you order first, then grab your food and find a table. The cashier who helped us was super nice, which made the experience even better. We both ordered lemonade teas--one peach and one watermelon--and they were honestly a 10/10. Not too sweet, more on the tangy side, which I loved. It wasn't overly crowded--maybe around 10-12 people inside, with a couple more eating outside--so it felt comfortable. We ordered the chicken with the sweet spicy flavor, along with fries, mac and cheese, pickle sticks, and rolls. Everything came out fresh and tasted really good. There was about a 10-15 minute wait, but that's expected for fresh food and totally worth it. The presentation was great, and overall the food hit. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the dough babies, they were a little too thick for me, just a bit too much bread, although the flavor itself was still good. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

Typically, I rate based on several visits to get an overall picture of the place, but I will bypass the rule if the experience was exceptional (#1). Mike's was downright excellent. I ate the food warm and I ate it cold, and I'm still thinking about it. I tried to save some time by ordering online and also bypass any potential lines. Thankfully, there were none when I arrived, but a very full house of happy eaters despite being well past primetime lunch hours. The staff was friendly in the front but fielding many orders at the same time. I missed the literal pick up window outside, but was happy to get a gander of what it looks like inside. There's plenty of seating for groups and the place seemed a lot cleaner than the divey narratives folks emphasized. Prices were not astronomical, as I paid $14 and $13 for an order of 4 tenders + 2 sides, as well as 2 wings and 2 sides. The tenders were nothing like a Raising Cane's with skimpy portions and high price tags, instead it was plump, crispy, and perfectly fried. The accompanying sauces (Mike's sauce + buffalo sauce) were excellent additions and complimented the crispy fries. I was extremely impressed with the mac & cheese and very flavorful, mashed potatoes and gravy. The wings were no different: soft exterior with a nice crunch, meaty chunks off the bone, and wasn't too greasy. While the green beans weren't the most memorable side, the creamy corn was strangely addicting. Next time, I'm ordering the sides separately and in a large. I can only hope the other locations are just as good and will make good effort to visit them all. It's a rare occasion to be this infatuated with a place, but I'm confident it will be the first on my return list when I'm back in Dallas again. ___________ (#1) Or exceptionally bad.

Bro, plumbing is confusing). Naturally, I had to ask AI where to get the absolute best fried chicken in Dallas, and it sent me here. Ordering online was super easy, though I wished the menu had pictures because I like to see what I'm getting. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got the text that it was ready. The parking lot is tiny. If you drive a big truck, be prepared to maneuver like a pro if it's packed. Inside was busy, but there was zero heavy grease smell lingering in the air. You could easily grab lunch here and go about your day without smelling like a literal fryer. Plus, the crowd was surprisingly chill. Nobody gave off that chaotic, sketch energy you get at a KFC or Wingstop where you feel like you have to lock your truck doors three times just to walk inside safely. It's a really calm environment, which is awesome if you hate loud crowds. Pickup took less than 5 minutes. After a 15-minute drive home, the chicken was still loud-crunchy and insanely crispy. Puts fast-food chains to absolute shame. Fair warning: my first drumstick was a massive sodium bomb that almost made me rage quit and leave a two star review. But I was so hungry, so a quick drink later, piece number two and on were absolute perfection: juicy, meaty, and flawlessly seasoned. So that first piece of chicken just was coated in not-fully-mixed-well seasoning batter or something like that. I am officially obsessed. Come September when bulking season hits, I'm literally going to live here.
