There are times when the only fried chicken you need is Lisa's. Honestly, some of the best fried chicken in town. I often come here and get the five piece chicken tenders for my father and I order several chicken breasts. Their chicken breasts are exquisite. I would've given this place five stars had not been for the service last visit. I went through the drive-through and ordered our typical order with six extra bread rolls, because those are some of our favorite. We get home, I opened the order, and there's no bread rolls, and we were missing two chicken breasts! I looked at the receipt, and sure enough we had paid for those, but they forgot to include them. So not wanting to cause a big kerfuffle, I got back in the car drove the five minutes down the street back to Lisa's, but they were closing as it was just at 10 PM. I drove through the drive-through window tapped on the glass and a woman opened the glass, telling me they were closed. I kindly explained to her that we did not get all of our order. She looked at me, rolled her eyes and said I'm sorry we're out of chicken. We have no more left. I asked her may I please have my bread rolls down. Not saying a word she slams the window, goes in for about five minutes, comes back out and just tosses the rolls to me and slams the window. No apology no we're sorry. No come back later and get your chicken tomorrow. It was awful. This woman needs a lesson in customer service, so don't come here expecting good customer service, and check your order every time you leave. Lisa's Chicken was calling me. Hence, it's in close proximity. So, I ordered some Buffalo Chicken Wings. They were crispy and spicy. Six mini fried wings for like 6.00. It was my first time going here with my husband and I'd definitely go back again! The food was great and we both had the 12 pcs shrimp with the 2 sides of our choice. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food we had. So honestly me and my husband could've shared 1 plate instead of getting one of our owns but it's okay! It's still great! The service wasn't stellar but it was typical I guess. The food was super basic and definitely not anything we would go out of our way for. The rolls were the hard, dry generic kind. You get 5 rolls with the 10 piece mixed $15.99 along with 2 sides. The Mac and cheese was very regular. The chicken had no extra seasoning, no crunch or tenderness, nothing at all that made it stand out. It's like Albertsons grocery store deli chicken. Went here today. Pros: 1. Store and bathrooms were very clean 5 stars 2. Service was friendly and fast 4 stars 3. Chicken finger was pretty good (3.5 stars) Cons: 1. I go by here often even if it's just for a soda, cup of ice, crispito or even a chicken dinner. But the plus here are not only is the food tasty but the service from Irma & Phil. They are so efficient, productive and always so kind. They remember me and that I love there taco sauce so they always make sure I have plenty in my order. They are constantly showing how serious and hard working they both are. I'm pleased when I see either one of them there. This store has a bunch of great workers but those two Irma and Phil truly stand out. I hope the managers or owners realize what a gem they both are. Line is usually long but well worth the wait! We are a family of 5 and this is the best place to get family deals and the food is great! My children Love, Love , Love chicken tenders! The second window is to pick up the food. When I got to the second window to get my food, I asked for cocktail sauce. The guy said it was all in there. But it wasn't. But he had already left the window. I waited for 5 MINUTES LITERALLY for someone to come to the window, even though I'm honking my horn to get their attention. Our 2nd time here at this location for take out. Long line in the evening - a good sign that the food's in demand. Generic, chain restaurant fast food stuff, but good quality all around, especially for take out. Good prices too. Now on to the food, as I watch while they prepared my food, I saw that the older gentle making the chicken was not wearing gloves and he only battered the chicken in milk and flour. No seasoning, no eggs, no nothing...just plain flour. That explains the taste of the chicken. So, I decided to try the chicken and sides anyway despite my experience. Why not, since I paid for it right?! Trying to support a local business. Well well well, the chicken was dry, hot but dry, it wasn't crispy, and it was bland. The sides were basic. It severely lacked flavor. The Mac n cheese tasted like cardboard slop and the mash potatoes tasted like plastic slop. Cafeteria food taste better than this. And the roll was a basic dry roll...they didn't even bother to butter them , warm them up or anything. They were just crusty. The chicken is really good with very crispy skin and the fish is done very well too. Cole slaw and fries are also good. For some reason a third of their store is dedicated to refrigerated storage where you can buy soft drinks in 12 and 24-packs. I visited the Sycamore/Cleburne Rd location in. Ft Worth on Saturday June 25. I placed my order in the drive and paid. The Manager asked me if i ordered a 2 pce dinner with corn nuggets and I stated no. He then persisted to tell me that I did order it. I ordered a 3 pc dinner with fries. I have never even had corn nuggets. He began to argue with me in the drive thru I front of the employees which was embarrassing. He started yelling and acted like he wanted a confrontation. As a business professional and in customer service I have never or will ever talk to a customer or argue with a customer like he carried on. I then asked to speak with a Manager and he said very arrogantly that he was the manager. Obviously he needs training in all areas of how to talk to a customer. I was very dissatisfied with his demeanor, professionalism and bad attitude. I support good service but not this. I will not dine at this location again and would recommend no one there. Get this guy some training. We are living in different times now and talking to customers this way could hurt your business. The goal is to offer the best service but this was definitely the worse I have ever seen. No apologies can justify his behavior. I was there around 1:15. To bad this is what his staff witnessed. What a great little restaurant! We were visiting our kids and decided we wanted catfish. Put catfish into Yelp and Lisa's was top suggestion. My wife and I both had a 2 piece combo meal and were both blown away with the size of the catfish filets and they were GREAT! Veggies and drinks were good as well. I honestly do not understand the hype around this place. It's died down now, but when it first opened there was a line out to the street. I tried their food with my sister and my dad, and we all agreed that it's absolutely terrible. My dad will eat almost anything so if he says that something is gross, it really is. My chicken was bland, his fried shrimp was mostly batter, and my sister barely even touched her fish. We all got different items for sides and all of those were flavorless as well. On top of the awful food, the employees have terrible attitudes. I went back to the counter for a refill and the guy made me wait because he was on a PERSONAL CALL on HIS phone. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was bad as well, which I normally will let slide if the food is okay. Here, however, there was a table with a roll and other food items on it that didn't get cleaned the entire time we were there. Everything felt kind of nasty. The only thing I can give this place kudos for is the price. We got a good amount of food for a relatively low amount of money.
