I wanted crabs and looked up some places in Ft worth and this came up so we stopped in. You order at the counter which is ok but pricing here was more like that of a full service restaurant. I got the number 3 crabs and shrimp (headless) and the amount of shrimp was HUGE! I will say it wasn't deveined so there is work to do, i thought the charge for headless might include it but it doesn't. There was 2 large snow crab clusters and they were easy to crack and pull out the meat. They had the perfect amount of spice. Two pieces of corn and two potatoes came with it as well as two sausage which was all delicious. I can't comment on the taste of the shrimp as i don't usually eat it but my husband said it was good except for the work required. We also tried the hot chicken and ordered medium and it was almost too hot to eat. This is compared to my crab meal which was ordered hot it was almost like they switched it around but i checked the receipt and it wasn't ordered that way. I would say if you want the chicken maybe go w mild. It wasn't super busy when we arrived but we got there when it opened. They play pretty good music but it's a little loud. Great spot! Came here with my family we got 3lbs shrimp with Cajun hot and let me tell you it was so good. It was spicy enough to have me blowing my nose but not extreme to where you can't even taste the flavor, perfect level if you want spicy but not overwhelming. We also got the friend pickles, hush puppies and ranch fries, pretty good as well nothing too special about those but can't go wrong with ordering them. If was pretty packed considering it was a Friday night around 8 so expected. The food here is amazing. I usually come with my spouse and the RC1 combo plus loaded fries basket is usually enough for 2 meals for us. I recommend getting their signature sauce. The crawfish are so tender and fresh in season. Out of season they're still good, but you just can't beat fresh crawfish. Out of season, we prefer the shrimp which stays plump and snappy no matter when you go. The combo only comes with one corn and potato though so we add on extra of those so we can each have one. This time we got the ramen on the side as well and it was good but not worth the price. Just take it home and make ramen yourself. Dear Seniors, I've been buying their King Crab by the pound for awhile and it's always done well, you get choice how spices you want or flavor but we just like its taste plain with little butter dipping sauce. We usually get a Generous portion from here. Sadly my most recent order was sadly allowed when they should have told me they were out of King Crab and substituted snow crab bits and pieces. I want to start by saying the food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The staff working the floor were fantastic and really made us feel welcome. Everyone from the servers to the kitchen team clearly takes pride in what they do, and it shows. Unfortunately, our experience was soured by an interaction with the asian manager, who was surprisingly rude and dismissive. While the rest of the team was doing a wonderful job, the manager's attitude felt out of place unprofessional and unnecessarily confrontational. It was disappointing, especially given how hard the rest of the staff worked to create a great experience. I'd love to return for the food and the amazing team, but I hope management takes steps to reflect the same level of respect and hospitality as their staff. They got several of our orders wrong and upon being asked to fix THEIR misunderstanding some man with glasses chose to argue with me that "I" ordered incorrectly. They charge 15% gratuity up front for parties 6+. You get your own drinks, own to go bags, and have to ask multiple times for the alcoholic beverage you ordered up front. I would not have left a tip AT ALL for the "service" I received had it not been charged up front. I would give service 0 stars if I could. My family spent over $1k here and the service was terrible. The employee cut me off, tried to speak over me, and clearly maintained an attitude throughout the entire interaction. They give crab clusters with no meat, while that will happen sometimes, if they were actually weighing their clusters then they would actually give their patrons what they pay for. Second, the three people in our party all became horribly ill before we even got home after eating here. 4 days later, and we are just now recovering. Red Claw is home to the best chicken sandwich I've ever had, but on the same note there is a lot they could improve on. Let's get the bad out-of-the-way first. Their menu is frustrating you can't just buy a chicken sandwich you have to buy a combo with fries. For the life of me I don't see why it would be hard to knock a couple of dollars off and sell the sandwich only. Then there's the fact they take your cell phone number for a to-go order and say they will text you when it's done I went in when it was dead not a single person in there and placed my to-go order figuring it would be a 5 or 10 minute wait I went back to my car. Well 30 minutes later I finally called them asking when my food was going ready and the proceeded to tell me that the food has been done for at least 10-15 minutes.... So yay cold food.... A courtesy call here long way to getting a 4 or 5 star review. They were not busy at all like I said I was the only one there. Now on to the good stuff! Like I mentioned before this is the best chicken sandwich I've ever ate I'm a big guy and this field me to the brim I couldn't even get my mouth around the sandwich hardly.
