I get they were busy. But it was just depressing how clear it was they didn't want to help me, when I even called in advance to see, and they said that they *would* be able to help me figure out what I needed... but I'm glad they are here helping, as best they can, so many sick people to hopefully actually cure their diseases naturally. I got the sense that if you make an appointment with their dr Lisa, they'll be more thorough and even explain things and give dietary advice (no fried, spicy, inflammatory foods). She was out for the holidays though so I couldn't make an appointment to see her. I do think many of the herbs can be purchased elsewhere; some for cheaper, some not. Based on this Dr Lau was able to talk my wife a number of things that she was able to ascertain from her exam. She prescribed a treatment that is customized for every individual based on their particular ailments. I personally know 4 individuals that are all highly educated financial educators & I value their opinions as they have all seen remarkable results. This being said the jury is still out on how effective this mixture of herbs will be w/my wife's issues. Dr Lau is no fly by night flash in the pan. She is a 4th generation herbologist. Amazing herb store with herbalists Lisa and Phillip. This is located in a strip mall but it's so nice that multiple parking spaces are assigned to Lisa's customers. We made appointments but they also take walk-in customers. There are numerous herbs in display addressing various organ challenges. For example there is a combination of herbs serving as a kidney cleanse tea. Lisa is professional and to the point. She spends time explaining how the pulse symptoms correlate to the functioning of our various organs. Thereafter herbs are gathered, put into a bag with recommendations for their preparation and ingestion. Very impressive, but she comes from a lineage of herbalists and takes this very seriously. This place is more of a holistic herbal approach to your health and well being, it is out of pocket so not covered by medical insurance but Dr. Lisa focused on the root of the problems and not just a temporary solution. The wait time is usually under 10 mins and Dr Lisa is very to the point. Don't expect a long consultation with her you basically list all of your ailments and she takes your pulse and takes it from there. The medications teas/ herbs she prescribed and not tasty but they are effective if taken as indicated by her. I went to her for preventative wellness. I have to say that Dr. Lisa was amazing. She explained the root causes of high blood pressure (something that runs in my family) in a way that was easy to understand and actionable. In a way that I'd never been explained to before. I actually understood what those numbers meant after talking to her. She also spent time talking to me about diet which is something that is almost unheard of in modern day Western medicine. Without me even going into great detail about my family history, she was able to identify some potential areas for improvement based on the tongue test and the pulse test. She was spot on by the way. She hit the nail right on the head on some areas where my close family have had health issues. It was like a bunch of little issues and ailments of me and my family finally made sense. She gave me about a week's worth of tea which was used to cleanse certain organs. The tea didn't taste the best but it definitely did it's job and refreshed me. My son (almost 2 years old) has terrible eczema all over his body, not just his elbows and knees but hands, legs, face, neck ... everywhere! He's been miserable because of this. We've seen a few pedia dermas and they have all said the same thing ... bleach baths, oatmeal baths, steroid cream one after another and the dosage keeps increasing, wet wraps, aquaphor, Aveeno, drink Benedryl once a day, etc ... do all of this and it'll get better. After doing this routine for a year and some, his skin never got better. It did however, after seeing Dr. Lau. I was referred to her by a friend who's daughter also has terrible eczema and allergies. Six years ago I had a head injury, leading to post concussion syndrome. I was on a slew of meds to manage the ultra sensitivity to light, sound, and migraine-like headaches on a daily basis. After 4 years of my husband and I trying to conceive our 2nd child, I was at my wick's end. I knew I had uterine fibroids, but I wasn't 100% sure if that was causing my fertility issues. I went to Dr. Lau on a recommendation from my mom. Dr. Lau suggested I drink her tea for at least two months to flesh out the fibroid tissue and that it would be about an "80% chance of me getting pregnant". I somewhat laughed off the 80% chance considering it had been so long but I was willing to take a shot at it to avoid possible surgery. I'm a 23 year old female who suffers from eczema from about the age 6. Since the beginning of time I remember spending all my time seeing doctors and dermatologists, using steroids that would thin out my skin.
