They have people who can customize a cake for you in Brockton which is helpful... The one inside previties in Hanover is OK but you cannot get a flower or anything added to a birthday cake. The employees are very uninterested with your needs. They seem to just want to grab quick and ring you up .. I just found out they now have a Montillios inside Jordon's furniture which was exciting! Yes, this bakery has the requisite homemade sweet bread (a note: growing up in Rhode Island, where there is a substantial Portuguese population, I had Portuguese sweet bread all the time--try it for French toast--but I have not yet tried Stoughton bakery's). And it has delicious custard tarts, and egg tarts, too. And they have Portuguese fried dough (it has a name in Portuguese, which I can't remember!) which is chewy and sugary, and has a gentle hint of lemon. Yum. It's on a side street very near the Stoughton MBTA station. It's a small and very clean place, with somewhat limited offerings, but everything I have had is the real deal.
