I was very upset because I knew that having it towed to a nearby repair shop would put me out of work for at least a day. I called Action Towing, they told me they would be there within 30-45 minutes. 15 minutes later their truck shows up! The driver was able to use his flatbed to jack up the front of my car and, with effort, remove the damaged undercarriage piece so I could drive my car! Not only was my Saturday afternoon saved, but I was spared a hefty repair bill and the inconvenience of being without a car. Price was extremely reasonable and driver was super polite and friendly. I hope I never have to use this company again, but I would definitely recommend to anyone in need!

The service I had called was suppose to send a flatbed towing truck which George's was not. When I told him this, he very nicely informed me that I could in fact have my car towed by his truck because I have a 2 wheel drive as suppose to 4 wheel drive. He said I could trust him and that he had towed plenty of VW Beetles and never had a problem. Since I wanted to be sure, I called the dealership direct to have them confirm this. George was very understanding with my concern and waited patiently while I made the call. Sure enough, the dealership said my VW Beetle could be towed by a truck such as his. I gave him my key and he delivered my car safely and promptly to the dealership. His truck looked new and was kept clean. What I liked most about George was that even though he gave me the correct information, he understood my need as a customer to confirm that the information he provided me was true. I would use his company again in a heartbeat if I ever needed my vehicle to be towed.

Today my arm fell off in the middle of 47th and St Charles I called Villalobos and the police showed up The police offer asked first if I was okay and than preceded to ask is I had a tow. She said there is a local company with a red truck If not I had 15 minutes before she had to two and it would be a steep price. 5 minutes from our conversation The Red truck arrived. I seem to have a thing for reviewing towing companies…read more.. So, I've been having some crazy electrical problems going on with my car - probably a bad alternator. I've been able to limp the car around for the last couple days, needing a jump-start every time I've had to start it. Last night, as I was en-route to dropping my car at the mechanic, probably around 9:00, it decides to completely die on Western, just north of Peterson. No power at all - no hazard lights, nothing... and I can't even get the car out of Park. Although my wife was following me in her car, a jump start was going to be useless. I sat in the car for about a minute, trying to figure out what to do, who to call, and kind of freaking out. As I got out of the car to discuss the situation with my wife, a tow truck just happened to drive up! He asked where I was going, and if I needed a tow. Within about 2 minutes, my car was hooked to the back of his truck. He dropped it at the mechanic, which was only about 1/2-mile away, and was super friendly the whole time. Best part: He didn't even want any money! I gave him $20, though. He said he had just up filled his tank, and was heading home when he drove up on me... and that "somebody up above must have been looking out for me" last night. He seemed as amused by the randomness of the encounter as I was. I give this guy 5 stars for his timing, alone. I would have paid him whatever he asked, so the fact that he didn't even want any money earns him another 5 stars. But, I can't give 10 stars, so he just gets 5. The situation couldn't have worked out any better... aside from me not having to replace the alternator. (I'm assuming I'll be following up this review with a bad one of Carr's Honda. The only reason I took the car there is because it's still under warranty, and I'm hoping this will be a warrantied problem. Ashland Tire is my mechanic-of-choice.)

But, lo and behold, 15 min later, the tow truck showed up! He was super nice, he had his sons in the car (they were coming from dinner and one son was learning the ropes) and they were just pleasant people. We discussed Semiramis, which coincidentally they were just coming back from, our love of shwarma, and then we were at the auto body shop....all for FORTY dollars! When was the last time you got towed for $40?!! I hate having car problems and all the other nonsense that comes with it...but trust me, if you need a tow, call King Towing.
