Super Deluxe on an Everything bagel

I went on a Tuesday morning, there wasn't a long line, and they seem to be very efficient with their service. The staff are also very friendly and I appreciate that they informed me of their daily special. I ordered a Super Deluxe Bacon, Egg, Cheese & Tomato on an Everything Bagel and I asked for extra mayo. Overall, it was a very delicious sandwich. The bagel was tasty and wasn't too dense. The bacon was pretty thick too. All for $6 which is a pretty decent price for the quality and portion. Overall, I would go back and order the same thing. Unfortunately breakfast ends at 10:30am.

This mom and pop takeout spot is excellent for anyone looking for a quick, cheap bite. I got the Super Deluxe for breakfast, which was one of the most expensive items on their breakfast menu, and it was still only $6.

In a world that is dominated by snooty overpriced restaurants, mediocre food court junk, and office chocolates that make people fat, there is a hero that is offering low-price homemade snacks to ward off lunchtime hunger and 3pm after-lunch sleep spells right here in the financial district. Lite Bite, with its unassuming storefront, actually holds a treasure chest of treats within its walls. The mom and pop takeaway shop makes things mostly by hand and is such a great alternative to food court fare. When you don't want to spend $15 on Manchu Wok, they've got you covered with daily lunch specials that range from Shanghai noodles, chicken on a kaiser, lasagna, pasta, burgers, and the list goes on. Prices are typically less than $10. Craving something a bit more predictable? They serve up sandwiches, subs, salads, and homemade pastries around the clock. They've also got an extensive breakfast menu to go along with your morning coffee. My go-to is a chicken salad sandwich on brown toast with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, a little bit of mayo, and a sprinkle of pepper. I don't know what it is about that sandwich, but to this day, I'm still craving it. Total, $5. In the afternoon, if I get peckish, I pick up a chickpea and bean salad for $2.50. If I'm feeling a bit naughty, I go for a $1 slice of banana bread. Lite Bite is a refreshing switch up from the food options surrounding it. Honest, unpretentious, small business serving up a delicious and budget-friendly variety. Next time you're deciding between getting a donut or breakfast sandwich at Tim's, maybe swing by here for a hearty and healthy Toasted Western on a bagel. At Lite Bite, the bites are indeed light and the food is always just right. (29/100) - 2017

So there's this small shop on Wellington just tucked in among all of those massive bank and insurance towers. I've probably passed by this everyday without even noticing it. It's a pretty tight space inside, with all sorts of packaged food and drinks placed throughout the room. There are no seats, but there are plenty of food courts nearby. All prices on the menus are tax-included, which is pretty nice. You're looking to spend $5 or $6 on a sandwich here. There's a specials menu on your way in, which lists some items that aren't on their menu. They've got some hot trays at the back, and that's probably where you'll want to go to pick up some fresh-made sandwiches, salads, or wraps. They've also got a several beverages available such as coffee and tea. I ordered a homemade burger which was the special of the day. It came out to $5.75, but you can just see how fresh the lettuce and tomatoes was: quite different from the ones you get at McDonalds or SUBWAY. The meat, however, left much to be desired. I had ordered a Jr Hamburger from Wendy's and found that the Wendy's patty had much more of a beef patty flavour and texture compared to the one here. Although it was quite large (8-oz), it was more like a meat loaf than a patty. But overall the prices can't really be beat if you're looking for something fresh and not SUBWAY. I wonder how the salads and other meats are like.

When I worked closer to this location I used to go daily, my go-to order was the BLT sub, not sure what it was but it tasted much fresher then subway or Mr.Sub. Tax in it's about $5.35. They also daily specials, which range from Chinese food, burgers, pasta, etc. Their constants are sandwhichs and salads. Prices are great typically with drink $6 or $7, my fav. is on Monday Shanghai noodles with pork. There's no seating, it's a small mom and pop shop, super friendly, cash only, you can even buy the lottery here as well.

Great spot for a quick grab before going to work or wherever you're headed for the day. Fast, friendly service. Good coffee. Great sweets and a filling breakfast sandwich. Sandwich, Tart and a drink we're 18$ between two people. Definitely Recommend!

There are benches outside and counters where you can stand and eat, giving it a casual, quick-stop kind of vibe. It's also part market, so you can browse a selection of goodies while you're there. I tried the Antico Parma sandwich and it was delicious--definitely a spot I'd go out of my way for again. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

I got 3 sandwiches for me and my family (4 people including me). What we ordered: Mona Lisa: 8/10 For both of the sandwiches the bread was very fresh and delicious! They make them fresh for each order and you can taste the quality. The flavours in the Mona Lisa worked really well together, I loved the truffle cream and burrata. Torino: 7/10 This sandwich was also good, but the I felt like it was lacking something, especially compared to the mona lisa. The spicy eggplant just tasted like plain pickled eggplant and wasn't that spicy. I feel like both sandwiches were a bit salty due to the prosciutto, and were missing some sweet or acidic element. I added some balsamic glaze and hot honey at home which was great! The portion sizes are HUGE, the 4 of us were quite full after splitting the 3.

I've had their cheese pullapart loafs as well as danishes previously before, however, this time I was at the store for a free cinnamon bun as it was a free birthday reward for being a member of their Cobs Club. The cashier was friendly and asked if I wanted either a cinnamon bun with icing or plain. I opted for a cinnamon bun with icing and she put it in a box for me before handing it over. During my time at the store the place had a steady flow of customers, coming in to buy baked goods. My cinnamon bun was big and tasted great! I heated it up a bit when I got home. I agree that the price for a sandwich plus side salad is quite pricey ($13 including tax) but I like the fact that everything tastes fresh and light, and you have alot of options to customize your sandwich in a healthy way. I ordered the rosemary focaccia with chicken breast, arugula, avocado and chipotle spread plus their usual sprinkle of salt, pepper and squeeze of lime. It's like a gourmet sandwich - the bread was thick, soft with hints of rosemary and yummy. The salad was mostly arugula with carrots- this was very lightly seasoned but at least I won't be hit with itis going back to work! Definitely would come again, although not regularly since it's kinda pricey.

I'm going to continue with my overtime take out review series with Sandwich Box. You would think making a sandwich is probably not the most complicated task out there, but this place seems to get it all wrong. My order consisted of an egg salad sandwich on whole grain bread with a side salad. When I received it, I only got the sandwich and the restaurant failed to tell me the salad was no longer included in the combo (yet the price remained the same). That's great that the online menu was not updated to include items no longer available, a simple update would address all these problems knowmsayin? Now on to the actual sandwich, the bread was thick. I mean so thick it looked like there was about a half an inch of eggs inside of two encyclopedias worth of bread. The eggs themselves, totally flavorless and bland. Kinda hard to mess up an egg salad sandwich right? Even Tim Horton's can get that right! To make things short and sweet, I'll be looking over this option the next time I'm working late or considering a sandwich in the downtown area.
