Sometimes being given a 3hr wait is unacceptable. Why schedule an appointment if others pull up and get serviced before us? We come to get our warranty oil change and inspection.. could go to jiffy lube and be out in a minute but want to stay within our warranty/coverage. There were a few hiccups, which resulted in us having to drive to Reno twice in two days from Gardnerville, which was pretty disappointing to my son to not be able to drive his new car home for two days in a row, but in the end they made it right, and ended up driving the car to our home to personally deliver it. This is the 3rd time I come here for an Oil Change and Tire Rotation on my Subaru Outback and every time, the service has been outstanding. Actually, the whole experience was on another level today. I've never made an appointment. I just come in and wait at the Express Line and never had a problem. Today, I had a very short wait in my car, before one of the employees approached me and gave me a service Invoice to head inside. In prior visits, they processed the request for service outside by my car, but now, it all gets done inside the shop. Inside, there were various employees helping to check-in customers, so it all flowed very quickly. I was helped by Jennifer. She was very nice, gave me an estimate and told me it would be one to one and a half hours. I was o.k. with the wait, but recieved a call after 40 minutes, notifying me my car was ready. The whole process was very efficient and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. There is also a very nice waiting area with plenty of chairs. There are also drinks available, which is a nice touch. Really surprised to see the low rating on this dealership! I went through the online program and bought my car with no issues. I worked with Tom, BJ, and Evan in finance. I'd have to say they all followed through really well on their word and helped me every step of the way. It was a very easy process and they are very good at communicating with me on every step of the way. During the finance process, I did have a question for Evan, and he was so diligent and looking into it and did follow up if there was any issues. I think he even went above and beyond and help me with a service that was not even in his department. I went to Lithia Subaru on 5/25/2026. I had a very disappointing experience. When I drove into the parking lot the salesperson (Julissa) couldn't even wait for me to pull into the parking spot and get out of my car before approaching. Then when we got out of the car she went to my husband and said "Hi, what are you looking for today?" No greeting, didn't introduce herself, nothing! So from the start it was very off-putting. Then we told her we had an appointment, but the person who I was scheduled with wasn't there that day. So she said she could help. I told her I was interested at looking at a used Outback. She went and got the keys and showed me the vehicle. I asked her if they still had the same policy as far as fixing anything that was a safety issue including the head gaskets as I know Subarus are notorious for having a problem with them going out. She seemed like she didn't know how to answer my question and gave me a bulls**t answer. It turned out the vehicle was slightly out of my price range and she said she only had one more vehicle available to show me. The mileage was way too high and I pointed out that the tires were bad and she didn't say anything. Like she wasn't even trying to help me and acted like she didn't want to sell me a car. Then she said let's go inside and I will introduce you to my manager (complete waste of my time). His name was Troy. Very unprofessional as well! When I called him out on the head gasket issue he was like "oh, so you know about that?" Ummm yes I've owned a Subaru before and I'm not stupid. So he took down my info and said they would be in touch if any other cars came in that might be a good fit for me. I left there so angry and annoyed. They tried to take advantage, but I made a few calls and got other bids. You should do the same--don't just accept what the dealership tells you. Always compare. Also, $200 an hour labor rate... for a Subaru? That's outrageous. Even Mercedes and BMW dealers charge less. Back for my 90,000 mile check and it was refreshing that the service writer was honest and said that since I took it in last year for a larger and more detailed service, nothing needed to get done just yet. Got off easy this time and more favorable stars for such honesty. Stopped in to look at the 2023 Ascent. Beautiful car and the price is not too bad. It was time to get another car to add to the one we had and our truck. I don't always like driving the truck around town and warming it up when it is cold out. I used to own a Subaru Legacy that I loved so I decided to buy a Subaru. The Salesmen gave us lots of information to make a good decision. We were originally looking at a 2.5 L Crosstrek but after driving that and the Forester there was no comparison. The Forester was roomier and fun to drive. It really had power and some get-up-and-go. We went with the Limited trim level and it just fit us well. I like the fact the dealership was not pushy nor were the two salesmen we dealt with. We looked inside and talked with them about the two vehicles and then decided to go home and think about it. We made an appointment to drive both a couple days later. We both got to drive each one and we knew the Forester was for us. We asked lots of questions and they gave us a print out on the breakdown of costs so we could get a better idea of what we were willing to pay for and the items we did not need. The only part that was not clear was the out-the-door price that I was given did not include the doc fee and taxes and add-ons. I think that should have been included because it added several grand to the final price. The financial person was good and easy to deal with, just a pleasant personality. We had two Salesmen, Bardia who was a pleasure to deal with. Then he passed us to Troy, helpful in every way. Troy helped us after the sale to set up the tech stuff and answers all our questions when we text him. He doesn't drop you after the sale as he like to make sure you know all the features of the vehicle. I don't normally like going to a lot to buy a vehicle but I would not hesitate to buy here again. I had bought a car there previously and Subaru's are good well made cars . We took a test drive in a new hybrid, very good car with lots of good features and the whole process was no pressure, very refreshing experience and they know their cars and other cars. We were able to make a deal on a Great car. I met with Tomas in finance and took very little time to go through the process and transfer over my remaining warranty and oil change package. Seniors Beware: I have dealt with their Sales, Service, and Parts departments. The only one I sort of trust is the Parts department. Sales and Service are not trustworthy. They'll tell you one thing and then do another. Since there aren't any other dealerships nearby, you might not have much choice if you want a new Subaru, but be careful. You're not going to get a good deal on the car because during negotiations, you'll get the runaround (Remember, all that drama is just acting, lying to your face). The Service department is especially sketchy. I've been charged for work they didn't even do, and you could end up waiting for hours for something that shouldn't take nearly that long. I even overheard a sales member coaching another not to "ask" customers if they "want" a service, but to just "tell" customers they're 'overdue' for it instead. If you do go there, be very cautious and question everything they say and do. They will engage you in doublespeak. Proceed as if they are lying to you, chances are...they are. There are way too many negative reviews to ignore. read more

Being originally from last vegas I've had my fair share of con-men and loan sharks. I'll say they've got nothing on lithia Subaru. I went down on the 15th of May to try for a car, the finance manager said I was approved but because they don't like to get ahead of themselves they wanted to wait till everything was finalized before we can take the car home. Fast forward to may 19th we called even the finance manager and explained that it obviously wasn't gonna happen so we were gonna move on. He explained he had actually been trying to text us but must have had the incorrect number but that the loan was approved and he was waiting on the approval letter to come in within the next hour or so. As we get to the dealership he explains that they came in with a slightly lower interest rate and the payment would be a few dollars less. Papers are signed and we sign our title hand over our trade, cancel the registration and go about our day. Fast forward again to may 30th. We are called telling us that our bank statements aren't enough. My 1099 shows I make roughly 60k annually the IRS shows the same. They tell us we're to return the car, so I got and return the car, they give me mine but can't give me my title since it's already 5 on a Friday. Without the title I'm unable to register my family vehicle until atleast Monday. I call Monday to speak with the general manager and he explains it's not his problem and they're not responsible for the registration and that he lost out on his money because of us and it's our fault that the deal didn't go through. He also explained that it's not there responsibility to fix or even acknowledge that they broke the side seat cover on the drives side. Essentially told me to get bent. He didn't have time to deal with us since we weren't buying and it was our fault he lost his money and we should apologize to him. They are complete snakes getting by on the name and reputation of Subaru. You can buy a Subaru anywhere or the dealership can aquire one for you. Dealing with lithia Subaru is no different than dealing with and used car lot throughout reno. At the end of the phone conversation i was told they were loosing money on the depreciation of the impreza when i gave it back yet they posted it back on their site as a BRAND NEW VEHICLE with undisclosed miles even those theres over 250 miles on the car GO TO DOLAN . read more

I spoke to one girl today from the Lithia repair shop who made me think I was calling the shady corner repair shop in Chicago "Ya, if we don't have an email from the warranty shop it's all on you". Worst customer service! Jerry Salgis finally called me over about 12:11 for my 12 p.m. appointment. They took the guy before me after asking if we had appointments and if we were dropping off. The other gentleman had a 2:30 p.m. appointment for a nail and was helped right away. I came without my husband because he had to work. I am always treated differently when I'm there alone without my husband. Before scheduling this appointment, we told them we would need a loaner, a lady called about 11 AM this morning to assure us that we would have one. This is the second recall on my car and was a pain to schedule in the first place. We left countless messages without a return call. Over a month just to give you a time frame. I am in the middle of finalizing things for my brother's funeral, and waiting on Subaru wasn't on my list of things to do today. I told Jerry why I needed my car and I didn't have an hour to sit here and wait when a lady called this A.M. to confirm our appointment and to tell us they had a rental. I showed up, and Jerry told me he didn't have a rental and they could check my recall in an hour. He had rental keys sitting on his podium as he told me he had no rentals. I don't understand why I was lied to. He walked over to another counter and then came back and said I would have to wait 30 minutes for someone to go and get a rental from across the street or I can wait for them to fix my car. I left like I said I was trying to finalize my brother's funeral arrangements, I do not have 30 minutes or an hour for this. I wasted my time and gas when I should have just bought from Toyota. I'll keep Jerry's lack of service when we purchase any future vehicles. Two recalls in the past few years here, then come in lied to!! Do yourself a favor and don't buy here. I had bought a used f150 from this dealership, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I had to take the truck back in to the dealership the following day for a warranty claim because the brake light and blinker were out on the passenger side, one would think this issue would be caught during their inspection but apparently not. It's been 3 1/2 weeks and I still don't have my vehicle back. Would not recommend this dealership for buying a used vehicle. I made my first payment today and got to drive the vehicle for 1 day, pretty ridiculous if you ask me this is the kind of expectations you have from a sleazy used car dealership not from a dealership of this caliber. I received a call today from Lithia Subaru saying I need to come in and sign something for the car I traded in because they had missed a signature. I informed the lady the only way I'm driving back to the dealership is to pickup the vehicle they sold me that's been in service for almost a month now and then I'll sign. She told me "well the vehicle will still be in your name" I told her that's fine I'll gladly come down once my vehicle is done.
