I used to love Little Anthony's Pizza on Hwy 27 but in the past year or so things have gone downhill with their pizzas. The crust has been underdone and the toppings are skimpy. I have had to wait 5 minutes or more just to be acknowledged after walking in to pick up my order while employees walk right past me without a word. The order was ready but they forgot the toppings so another 10 minute wait. Picked up a take out menu to see what toppings cost but there are no prices on the take out menu. I didn't complain about prices when food and service was better but I'm done paying the high price for less quality and poor service. They've lost a customer. And don't even get me started on that phone message that was changed awhile back. read more

I called several times to make sure it's on it's way and was reassured and even given a voucher for inconvenience, but I still never received the pizza!!! So unacceptable. The pizza is decent nothing to write home about. The staff is nice but treats their customers who come in all the time a whole lot better. They were not rude but you could see that they would go out of their way for them and new customers or "tourists" are given less attention and not as good food. Awesome New York style pizza! One of the best local pizza restaurants I've tried. The cheese is delicious and the sauce is perfect. It's perfectly cooked, but my one complaint is that the crust could have a little more flavor. It was a bit "cardboard-y". lol We also ordered the chef's salad which is HUGE, but so delicious. It's crisp, fresh and delightful! My Aunt and Uncle love the balsamic vinaigrette which i believe is the house dressing. Went last Saturday night on a recommendation from a friend. The pizza was disappointing, the crust is not NY style..it's actually a prefabbed crust, the edge of ours actually fell off and you could tell it was a pre made/frozen crust. I'm a cheese kindda girl so that's usually all I get, as I have said before, if you can make a good cheese pie, all the others will be fine....not so much here. We also ordered the greek salad....it was NOT a greek salad but it was good :) The salad dressing is a balsamic vinaigrette which really was good but not greek, only thing that was "greek" was the feta sprinkled over it. We keep trying to give them second and third chances - mainly because the Stromboli is excellent - but the service is absolute awful and the predictability of how long you will wait does not exist. I've lived here for over 15 years and this place is terrible. I tried with my husband and kids years ago and it was bad so then I never went back until yesterday. I went with 2 girlfriends. I ordered stuffed shells and my friend ordered tour of Italy. Both plates came out burning hot loaded with cheese. We both had to scrape all the cheese off to see our food. Whoever is taking calls there is extremely rude. I tried to place my order for delivery 2 minutes ago and she was literally yelling at me when they couldn't get the card number into their system. The best pizza in town for sure. Especially for a sit down pizza. The service is so friendly and quick too. There might be a wait on a Friday night- that's a good thing- it means it is good pizza. The dough was so fresh tasting and reminds me of when I was younger working at a pizzeria - you can smell fresh dough when you walk in. The cheese pizza is perfection. I always ask for it crispy with light sauce and it comes out just the way I like it. There is another pizza they make with bacon and ricotta and fresh tomatoes- oh my! It is so good. I've tried to recreate the flavors when we visit other places and there is just no recreating lil'anthonys. I have not had anything other than pizza there- but that is all I want when I walk in the door and smell the dough :) I have taken friends and family there and they all love it. read more

Been ordering from here for years recently our experience gets worse and worse. We made an order at 3:37pm for delivery. We were told they didn't have a driver until 4:15pm which was fine. We waited patiently until about two hours have passed so we decided to call back the manager tells us they didn't have a driver until 530 and that our food has not left the restaurant yet. Why not tell us it would be three hours from when we ordered until we get our food. The bad part is I had my wife order at the 3:30 so that It would be done and delivered by 5. Lil Anthony's is a love it or hate it type of place, I happen to love it ! Wife likes thin crust and Lil Anthony's "Joe Baron " style is the best ! Cracker thin crust good sauce, delicious cheese. If a restaurant has no consideration or care for their customers why should I give them business. We eat out a lot...few times a week. Until today we have never visited a restaurant where the servers are not wearing masks. But in Lil Anthony's....no one wears a mask! When asked we were told it was because of the hot ovens. Ok, understandable, but last I checked there are no hot ovens in the dining area. You cannot social distance when waiting on a table so why not put on a mask when you leave the kitchen? Absolutely unfriendly guy with glasses on behind the bar! Weirdly enough I found out that he is the owner. I came in alone (I'm female). He never greeted me or spoke one word to me. And he was standing right in front of me. I was the only person sitting at the bar the whole time and he never once acknowledged me. I even looked him straight in the eyes and all he did the whole time was talk to his staff. Even his wife was unfriendly. I'm new to the area and even if the food was good it's not the type of people I want to give my business to. As far as the food I ate... boooo!! First of all the bar stools are not tall enough for anyone to eat comfortably there The bar top was literally above my chest height. The chicken fingers were crap! They were oddly flat (frozen kind). The blu cheese dressing came in a container (Kent's) like you get at Publix with your salad. Nothing homemade here. Wow! This place is NY italian. Pasta with clams is insane! The amount of clams they give you is totally worth it. The pizza is amazing! Have yet to have a bad meal from here. We have been there many times and were always happy with the service and their pizza. Went last night Friday, would never go,again on a Friday at dinner time. Very busy and very very noisy. We had to yell across the table at each other to be heard. Our wait staff person was not one of the better ones. She spent way to much time socializing with others in the place. It took a long tome but we expected that be cause of the crowd. Our salad was good, but when our pizza finally arrived it was warm, not bubbling hot like it should have been. Very disappointing. Yes I would go back again but would not want the same server. We notice her another time when we were there for an early dinner and she was having a conversation with a male person that was there, talking to hm in between waiting on tables. I LOVE love LOVE this place! We started going there 7 years ago when we moved to Florida. We love all of the wait staff there, they take great care of their tables. We called for one large cheese pizza at 5:09 (time stamp on my phone). Got there at 5:50ish (they said it would take 45 minutes). They said it wasn't ready and that it'll be another 10 minutes. Mind you we called it in almost an hour ahead. So we waited. Around 6:10 (20 minutes later) I told my his we had to leave because we had church at 7 pm (Ash Wednesday). So my husband went to get a refund and the man behind the counter tries to put the blame on my husband (didn't call it in? Ordered at 6:05? Maybe you called the wrong location...I called and since they were my go to place I had their number on my contact list). Finally he gave us the refund but not before ruining this place for us. We would've taken a real excuse (I.e. the person that called did not put it in or we got really busy) but instead we were turned away and blame being put on my husband. I was so disappointed. I've overlooked the long waits and other issues but this was the last straw. Wish I could put zero stars and tell you what we ate. Sat down at a dirty table. The tall waitress dropped off a bottle of cleaner and walked away, never to be seen again. My wife and I cleaned the table expecting a server to give us menus and serve us food. I asked for a manager. He walked out, apologized and then ignored us as well. When I told him that it was a pleasure cleaning tables for him, he said he was just fixin to take our order. Too little too late. After 30 years in the Navy having been around the world, I've never been so ignored before in my life. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service and integrity of this establishment. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Greek salad at around 1pm and was told 45-60 minutes for delivery. When 3:45 came around I called and asked if it was on the way. Come to find out they lost the ticket and it was never put in. I said I would just cancel and order it from hungry howies since I have two little ones who are starving. They said they would comp the meal and throw in free zeppolis for their mistake and trouble it caused. I said ok and accepted. Food was delivered 45 min later and pizza was fine but they delivered the wrong salad. I still decided to tip the driver 10$ for their time and she said that's all we would be charged since the rest of the meal would be comped. I check my credit card a few days later and they charged the full amount. I call and speak to the GM and she said that she didn't authorize the free meal and I would be charged the full amount. I was dumbfounded by this since I was lied to by multiple people. This establishment doesn't have any integrity and I won't be eating here again and I suggest everyone else revaluate their decision to as well. Very, very disappointed. read more

OK I grew up in New York. I know good NY pizza and this is not it. Like the other post said, I agree that the crust was like cardboard, real thin too. They put way too much cheese on it. If you like a 1/4 cheese melted over a piece of paper with a teaspoon of your basic tomatoe sauce then you will love this pizza. Price is only 99cents per slice. Big slices. Nice interior decorating, very clean, very nice staff. Lots of easy parking. Interior has a NYC memorabilia collection on walls and tables that are boxes with glass tops. Well, I have made numerous attempts to like this place based on friends who have talked me into going here with them. The last time we were here, late on a Sunday afternoon, it took us over half an hour to get our food (nothing special-sandwiches and salads) even though I saw three people in the kitchen. Not only that, we were the only customers in there at the time! My sandwich was mostly very thick bread with very thin toppings in between that came with a gross oil that you're supposed to put on it. After tasting the oil, I opted not to ruin the sandwich further with it. In the past, I've tried pizza, pasta, you name it. The only thing I've tasted that is actually good are the garlic knots, but that one item will not bring me back. I want to start out by saying this was my LAST option for dining out . Every time I go they over charge for pizza that taste like cardboard. Barely any sauce. And my service was absolutely horrible by young Hispanic guy. He was so glued to his phone me and my family of ten didnt even get plates of silverware the 40 mins we waited on our food and then someone from my family had to say how good it must be working here getting paid to be on your phone and not trying to clean up or refill our drinks. This was honestly the WORST experience I ever had and I would NEVER go back. Oh on top of that my first bill was 102 when he tried to sell me everything separate and it was on deal and when we came back with total for fixing it was 107 and when we asked him why it went up he had no answer took it back and brought us a 110 bill. They were stealing our money every time. Dont waste your time or money!!! And the prizes on the menu are expensive asf and they aren't even the real prices. Went here with a restaurant.com certificate. They would not accept it!!? I didn't even know they could do that! Wouldn't even give a small discount! The manager refused to even speak to us and told our poor waitress to tell us it wasnt them that put up the certificate!!! We ordered for our kids and friends and spent $52 for 3, 1 topping pizzas! Just so we're clear, I'm basing this review on several different visits. So our experiences weren't an isolated incident. We used to love this restaurant! I loved their VIP pizza and my wife and I both loved the Greek salad. They used to have good service but not any more! The first visit was to pick up said VIP pizza and a Greek salad; when I called to place the order they told me that they were busy and to give them an hour to get the pizza ready. Although hungry, I obliged. I actually showed up an hour and fifteen minutes after placing the call. Upon arrival, I was told that it would be up in a couple minutes. I wasn't given my order for another hour!!! But wait...there is more...when I got back to the house and sat down to eat, the pizza was more warmed up as opposed to cooked. The crust was 90% dough and you could see the different pieces of the shredded cheese. I ended up throwing it out and eating fish sticks instead. The second visit I was by myself and ordered 2 slices of the VIP for myself as my wife was eating with her parents that afternoon. This experience was at the opposite end of the spectrum: burnt to a crisp! But at least this time I ended up eating it because I wasn't going to throw it away...again. About 6 months has elapsed since that last visit which brings me to last night. My wife really wanted the Greek salad so we were returning from Orlando and figured we would put in a pick order. My wife called 5 times from her phone; no answer on the first call and then hung up on the second and then no answer on the next 3. I tried calling from my phone 5 times as well to no answer. This was Friday night about 6:30pm. Having our mouths set on pizza, we placed an order into Pizza Hut. My wife was disappointed to not get her Greek salad. On our way home we drive past there at 7:15 and there were 3 cars in the parking lot! No excuse not to answer the phone!!! We like doing business with small businesses considering I am a small business owner but we won't be doing business with this establishment who doesn't want the business. What a shame! read more
