I never see food trucks near where I work and live (Reston) so when I found out about this guy I…read morehad to give it a try. My co-workers and I tried the bratwurst and currywurst with mixed reviews. The brat was good, as was the currywurst however one complaint was that it was not saucy enough. One person did not like the red cabbage, but the sauerkraut and potato salad both got high marks. One thing we all agreed on: the kaiser roll was pretty dry and not really edible unless you gave it a good pre-soak first. Again, this is where some extra sauce on the currywurst would have come in handy. The guy running the truck was super nice and greeted me with a friendly heckle when I took his picture "without permission." $9 is about average for lunch in this area and I enjoyed trying something different.

That's what bratwurst king sold us today at old ox brewery. I can't believe they sold it to us and I can't believe I paid for them. Should have known when I ordered and the sausages were immediately plated. Definitely not cooked to order and we were the only ones in line. They looked like they were probably sitting on the griddle all morning. That being said, the potato salad was really good and the red cabbage was pretty good. Wish they would have given us more of those and ate the sausages themselves. I'm sorry for the 1 star, but the king needs to know if he serves up that burnt garbage he deserves it.

Fries actually held up for the first few minutes but the gravy slowly seeped in causing the fries to become mushy but flavor was still there. The cheese curds were a great compliment however they weren't melted enough. The red wine braised short rib was very tender and flavorful. Just not enough of it. Overall flavor of Urban Poutine was pretty good for a food truck. I just wish the quantity match the price especially for $11.

For their location on any given day, I'd suggest visiting either their Twitter page or the Food Truck Fiesta app. Poutine is awesome - I had no idea what it was until I had some, but it's apparently comprised of French fries and cheese curds topped with a brown gravy and it originates from the Canadian province of Quebec. "Cheese curd" sounds gross, but it was actually fantastic! It was pretty greasy, but perfectly tasty and filling. I loved this poutine experience and think Urban Poutine does a great job. I'd definitely visit this food truck again in the future!

To be honest I'm not sure if the protein matters since there is so much happening in the bowls. You can tell everything is fresh, maybe the exception are fries are already cooked and not to order. Doesn't bother me since they still had good texture. Cool atmosphere and felt very inviting. Didn't try the green sauce but the red sauce is very mild. I much prefer this to other bowl spots and it's pretty convenient to get to. We'd want to try to cafe as well.

It was my first time at cafehive and I was impressed by the large selection of drinks and desserts on the menu. On this visit, I only tried their coffee, but I will definitely come back to try their desserts. I love the concept of the build your own desserts with the unlimited toppings! As for drinks- Tiramisu latte is the most popular and banana bread latte is one of the new ones and was recommended to me to try by the cashier. If you are deciding between the two, the tiramisu has the stronger coffee taste whereas the banana bread is sweet with a slight banana flavor. The only thing I will say is while the menu is beautiful the drinks don't really come out looking like how I expected based on what I have seen on Instagram with all the foam and toppings.. maybe an off day but the tiramisu latte I thought had mascarpone cold foam for example.
