Cute place and the perfect stop after a fun dolphin tour. It has a relaxed, coastal vibe that fits right in after a day on the water. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the mahi mahi was fresh and nicely prepared. I had the burger, which was very good and cooked just right. The only downside for me was the coleslaw -- it had a slightly fishy taste, so I wasn't able to eat it. Took a drive to Goodland this past Sunday. It was a beautiful day and everyone must have had the same idea because parking was a nightmare. You ca also pull up in your boat. Had to pay $10 for parking. Arrived a little after 1 pm and went to the place that seemed have the least amount of wait time. We were greeted quickly and given a table outside by the water. We decided on appetizers and water as we wanted to walk to the other bars and have a beer. The staff were nice enough and the fish dip and buffalo shrimp were good but I thought the portions were kind of small. Would like to come back another weekend but arrive earlier to beat some of the crowd. read more

This place exceeded expectations. The key lime pie was one of the best I've ever had soft, fluffy, and incredibly creamy instead of the usual dense slice. The flavor was perfectly balanced. The peanut butter pie was just as good rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. The medium stone crab claws were incredibly fresh (they source them next door from Kirk's Fish Market), and the mustard sauce was great. The shrimp appetizer was cooked perfectly and honestly didn't even need the sauce. The grilled oysters were buttery and garlicky. Amazing service, indoor and outdoor seating. A server assigned to the table next to ours refused to acknowledge or serve that family at all--no eye contact, no greeting, no explanation--while continuing to serve others around them. There was no issue with the family. The only difference was that the father and children were brown. Sending out a different server after the fact does not undo what happened. It avoids accountability. This was racism, expressed through silence and refusal, and it is unacceptable! My family had a really great experience at Little Bar. We were seated by the water at sunset, which made for such a nice atmosphere and set the tone for the evening. Our waitress was fantastic! Friendly, attentive, and so kind. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff surprised us with pie and sang, which was such a thoughtful and sweet touch. We ordered a variety of appetizers: buffalo shrimp, grouper balls, conch fritters, stone crabs, and calamari. Everything was fresh and well prepared. For entrees, we had the snapper, grouper and crab cakes, and all were excellent. Tried this place on vacation in Marco Island. The restaurant itself and the surrounding neighborhood is quite charming with nice outdoor views, although it was too windy for us to sit outside. We started with the stone crab claws which were delicious and perfectly sweet. They came with a mustard sauce which tasty, but the crab is so good the sauce is unnecessary - we saved it for the fries. We also had some lobster bisque which was quite good as well. My daughter had the blackened scallops which were good - standard scallops. My wife had the soft shelled crab. My first time trying soft shell crab so I have no frame of reference here. Not my favorite, but it's a texture thing and has nothing to do with preparation! Our server and all of the staff was very friendly and nice. If you're in the area give this place a shot. I'm giving this four stars, because giving it the number I actually have in mind, 666, would have sounded good. The buffalo sauce must be straight out of hell. Burning my tongue and turned the rest of the meal into torture. I was suggested to dip the buffalo fingers in ranch to ease my emotions, but the discoloration in the ranch was very unpleasant. My dad was given the blackened fish tacos, although the cooks opted for the "invisible blacken seasoning ," said the waitress. I just wanted a frozen drink and maybe a small snack. There are basically two choices in this small town, and Stan's was rowdy and loud so Little Bar it was. I was seated at a dockside table under a shade-giving gazebo with views all around the harbor. I ordered a frozen margarita. Sadly it was not a very good one. Pretty weak, tasted like a mix, and grainy with ice. 2 stars. Oh well, refreshing nonetheless. And at only $8, upcharged from $6 for frozen, that's really cheap these days! In fact my bill including the snack and tax before tip came to only $12-something. Small snack? The "Grouper Balls" fit the bill at only $3.50 for 2 balls. Not that kind of balls! Kind of like a fish cake but round, deep fried and crunchy on the outside, reminded me of hush puppies. Good seafood flavor but not overly high in fish content I think. No matter, they were excellent, accompanied by the remoulade dipping sauce. 5 stars - especially considering the price My waitress was dressed very oddly in a frilly grass-green dress. I noticed other strangely-dressed staff as well. Ok, must learn more. I was told this was "fairy tale character week" where they "encourage" (require?) the waitstaff to dress for the theme. She must have been Tinkerbell. I also saw a not-too-convincing pirate (Captain Hook?) and another wearing a bikini top resembling two oversize scallop shells - I have no idea what fairy tale that came from. They've also done a Mardi Gras theme, Your Favorite Decade, and I can't remember more. Cute. It's primarily a seafood restaurant and everything is fresh, delivered daily. Things I can't get back home like grouper and crab legs. Not fancy preparation, just the usual fried, steamed, baked, etc. Surveying the other tables, everything looked (and smelled) very good. Sadly, I can't rate on looks and smells. I haven't ruled out coming back tomorrow for a meal and If I do I'll revise. But overall, for my experience that day it's a solid 3 stars. read more

Heather was absolutely amazing. She was so incredibly attentive and caring towards me with my nut allergy. I have a life threatening tree nut and peanut allergy, along with a shellfish allergy. Typically I wouldn't still try to eat at a seafood restaurant, but I took a shot in the dark and it went amazing. She made complete sure that the cooks would keep my chicken from being cross contaminated and looked at every ingredient thoroughly so I can eat. Eating at restaurants for me is already so hard with a nut allergy since there's rarely a guarantee that things could be completely safe from manufacturing cross contamination or equipment sharing. But she knew that, and because of that, she made me feel so incredibly safe at a place I wouldn't have thought could eat at since they had Almond shrimp and plenty of seafood, but it worked out beautifully. Plus, the grilled chicken breast was so perfectly tender and deliciously seasoned, and I'm so grateful for the treatment I received here. If you're scared to visit this place because you have an allergy of any kind, please just request Heather; I promise you'll be in great hands. read more

This famous restaurant really deserves 5 stars, however one thing needs improvement. 4 of us ate outside on the water last night. We ordered cocktails. My wife and I ordered Mojitos, The bartender merely dumped Rum, a lime and some mint leaves in a tall glass. It was a waste of $10. The mint, along with sugar and the limes need to be muddled. I received a replacement and it was no better. Our friends said that they always order wine because it can't get screwed up. HOWEVER, our dinners were excellent.
