    Deviled eggs

We enjoyed our dinner at this "newish" restaurant on Marco. There are a few things which can make the experience better, and I expect in time some of the hiccups will be worked out. One of the difficulties is the reservation process. While they seem integrated with OpenTable, you can't book directly with it. You must call and leave a message, then wait a few days and someone calls you back and tells you what time you can come. Not great. They limit reservations to certain hours as well. We had a 7pm reservation on a busy Friday night and it was pure chaos at the door. The place is popular, packed and loud. It was an unusually cold night on Marco and nobody wanted to eat outside. They said our table was reserved for outside. We were not asked or told that was the case when a time was given to us. Again, a problem with not being able to make and review your reservation. The hostess had us wait and found a table for us inside. There is just complete confusion at the hostess stand, but we observed they try hard to accomodate all that come in. We were seated by 7:20 or so. We had a wonderful waitress, and her service was good throughout the meal. Food from the kitchen was very slow however, our first bites came after 8:00PM. That said, everything we ordered was delicious. The hanging bacon, and deviled eggs were great starters. The fried chicken entree was delicious as was the shrimp and grits. Heads up, if you share a dish, they do add a split charge. This was not mentioned when we ordered and said we were sharing an entree, but we later saw it printed on the menu. We thought prices were on the higher side as compared to comparable island dining. All in all we liked the food but as I said there are a number of things that are detracting from an enjoyable, relaxed dining experience. I hope they will be able to improve on those fronts as they are relatively new. Looking forward to coming back here and enjoying more of the dishes in the future and hoping for a better overall experience.

We dined at collier house last night. Lovely restaurant. Friendly staff. We had the jalapeno corn bread n biscuits w strawberry haberaro dipping . Hmm was out of this world. And generous portions. Don't stuff ur self too much as the menu has so many yummy items . Hard to decide what to have. But we decided on the small gumbo, corn bisque n charred Cesar. Corn bisque tasted good, gumbo was ok had shrimp n sausage n the charred Cesar was different w romaine lettuce leaves that had the toasted corn, ham, buttermilk dressing n cornbread croutons . Tasted good. For entrees had the southern beef Wellington ( a lil expensive) n was ok, the pan seared grouper was great. The best I've had any place. Everyone commented on how fresh reasonable n generous portions the items were. We ended our dinner w crime lime pie n brownies so good. Tx 4 a great dinner

10/10 - the BEST restaurant on Marco. Absolutely loved everything about this place and am looking forward to my next visit. The drinks were phenomenal, the staff was amazing and the food was delicious. The place was packed and that's a good sign of a great place!

Very nice ambience with exceptional service. The menu was very southern United States influenced with a sprinkle of comfort food. Prices are high but the food was delicious. Dessert was forgettable.

Snobtini - savory, medium rare and excellent! Compliments to the chef!

We dined at Marek's Collier House and it was exceptional from beginning to end. We were greeted with warm smiles upon arrival, seated swiftly (we had a reservation - thankfully! It was packed) and had the most incredible service from Brian - who set the stage for an amazing night. The beautifully decorated dining room was light and airy. The bathrooms were pristine. The service by every employee rivaled that of a Michelin-star rated restaurant. We loved the cocktail menu that had catchy sayings to describe each moody mixology that hints to a wink and a laugh. The appetizers of deviled eggs, corn chowder and the jalepeno bread were absolutely to die for! I am craving it as I write this. We could have stopped there but proceeded to order three entrees and each was delicious, fresh, savory, and expertly prepared. We loved the Snobtini and Fried Chicken, Mac and Cheese and fresh-off-the-cobb corn. This southern delight has so many food options from sandwiches, to entrees, soups to salads, mixology to handcrafted artfully tasty desserts. Speaking of desert, the boozy berries were yummy. The wine options were delightful and differentiated on the island. Brian, our waiter, was outstanding. His care for every detail made our night a perfect ending to our week. He knew the menu so well. seeked to understand our every want and made wonderful recommendations that didn't disappoint - but rather, blew us away. We will ask for Brian every time (my parents, Pat and Sandy loved him). The history of this restaurant upholds very high standards, setting new levels of excellence on the island today. That is saying something! We can't wait to return! Highly recommend - of all the choices, this is a must-do! You'll return again and again. Thanks, Brian and thank you, Marek's team! Bravo!

Amazing scratch made food in a beautiful southern coastal setting. It's our new favorite place.

Tough place to locate because there is very little signage. We were able to find it after driving around a bit. We found a nice parking spot in the rear of the hotel that it sits beside. Upon entering the area where the music stage is set up, we noticed a decent crowd with everyone sitting and enjoying the music. The bar is inside where everyone goes to get a drink. The service was good...a couple of bartenders ready to help, if needed. The crowd was mainly older adults....ages 40-65 would be my guess. The music was good....all the hits from the Eagles to Nirvana to James Taylor. As a first timer, it was kind of confusing where to order food. However, I did not notice food being served. I did notice a small restaurant set up in a small seperate building but there was no one eating in there. I guess the bartenders take the order and then deliver the food. Would I go back? Not sure...not much happening that would attract me Vibe: laid back....easy going Drink Price: very reasonable Parking: for me, it was great but I could see people having issues Dress: key west casual 4 stars

I asked Josh to put up our umbrella. Every table has one. Josh was our server. He was funny and accommodating. We decided to get a few appetizers and things to share. We got the tuna poke nachos, pork belly bao buns, chicken satay and the crunchy Kane salad. The poke nachos consistency of the wonton chips was extremely crunchy and fresh. There were pieces of tuna, srirchaca lime aioli, avocado, scallions and jalapeños. I am very sensitive to spice, however I did not find this item to be spicy. The pork belly bao buns were also delicious! They came with honey garlic sauce, pickled onions, jalapeño, cucumber, green onions and sesame aioli. The chicken satay was FANTASTIC!!! They came as 5 skewers. The peanut sauce it came with was one of the best I've ever tried. Super creamy and peanutty. Made to perfection. The Kane salad was phenomenal and I loved the addition of the crunchy noodles. It came with mixed greens, red onions, bell peppers, carrots, cucumber, sesame seeds and a citrus vinaigrette. Overall really beautiful dining experience with a breathtaking view of the beach while we ate.

From the moment she greeted us, there was an ease to her kindness that felt genuine, unforced, and rare. The kind of warmth that doesn't hover, doesn't rush, doesn't perform--just shows up. She anticipated needs before they became questions, checked in without interrupting the rhythm of the table, and carried herself with a calm confidence that instantly made us feel welcome. What stood out most was how closely her kindness mirrored the kind I try to put into the world myself--attentive, respectful, human. Not transactional. Not scripted. Just real. She listened, she laughed with us (not at us), and she made the whole meal feel less like "service" and more like being taken care of by someone who actually enjoys caring. Food can be great anywhere. Service like Heather's? That's memorable. If you're lucky enough to have her section, you're in excellent hands. She elevates the entire place simply by being who she is.
