One of Marcos well know spots, Great place to go and get a bite on the water. Food is always good and the salad bar is the best on the island. With its grand outdoor tiki hut and waterside views with ocean breeze truly feels like paradise. I've been going here since 2009 and have seen a lot of changes over the years but the food has stayed the same. My go to is the blackened grouper sandwich with rice and beans and go to the salad bar and load up. Their pasta salad at the salad bar is spectacular. The only thing I would say is there always a wait and the prices have gone up significantly but that's fair and expected over time. Snook Inn was on our short list while visiting Marco Island, so we finally made it over there. We tried to go on Sunday, but the parking lot was packed and there was already a wait. We came back midweek before the dinner rush, and that worked out way better. The first thing I noticed was the vibe. They had live music going, which seemed great for anyone sitting outside. Inside was quieter and felt a little more like a traditional dining room. Most entrées come with the salad bar, and honestly the homemade pickles and the bread were my favorite part. Our food came out fast and hot, which I always appreciate. Marco Island in general leans pricey, and Snooks fits right in with that. Kids meals were $14.99, which felt high, and the gift shop had some surprisingly expensive name‑brand stuff. Service was fine...not bad, not amazing, just kind of there. Highly disappointed. Called to ask the days and hours for AYCE crab legs. The young lady I talked to told me the days and hours that it was offered. Our group chose Wednesday based off of that. We drove an hour Wednesday evening to dine there only to show up and be directed out of the parking lot due to them having a private employee night. I think it's wonderful that they do this for their employees. I only wish we hadn't wasted a night of our short vacation driving out there. We've been to the Snook Inn a few times now since it has reopened and overall have enjoyed our lunches here. As others have mentioned this is a hopping and crowded spot. Parking can be tricky. They have a nice outdoor tiki bar/hut area with dining, but it was cold and windy today and opted to eat inside. It was crowded and perhaps they moved some tables inside as nobody really wanted to dine outside today. It took a good 10 minutes or so for our server to greet us, but after that everything moved along at a good pace. People mention that the prices here are a little higher than comparable places, but they do include one visit to the salad bar. It is a basic salad bar, but enjoyable with lettuce and a variety of toppings as well as potato, pasta salads and cole slaw. We tried a burger today and I would say it was just OK, a smashburger, and nothing exceptional. On the other hand, the grouper reuben sandwich was delicious with a nice thick piece of fish. Cocktails were tasty and potent. If you are looking for a fun spot with good food, I would recommend giving this place a try. read more

We went here for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon after we had to pivot from our number 1 choice because it was cash only. Who even uses cash anymore for anything? Snook Inn was just minutes away so it was convenient. It accepts credit cards. The place was packed so we had to wait a bit, but ultimately the wait was worth it as we were seated waterfront. We were able to watch the boats up and down the body of water (a channel? not sure). The ambiance is exactly what you would expect of a casual seafood restaurant. Parking is tight. We arrived early so we found a spot but by the time we left cars were circulating and searching. We started with grouper bites (as they are called) for an appetizer and they were excellent. LIghtly battered, fried to perfection, and very tasty. I did not even want or use the accompanying sauce. $20 for a healthy portion. I ordered the white shrimp blackened, which came 8 to an order ($28). They were cooked perfectly and very fresh. Very good shrimp. The meal came with a trip to the salad bar and a side, and I ordered fries. The fries were crispy and very good. That is the third time I had fries with a seafood entree while in FL and each time the fries were excellent. They know how to do fries in FL. The wife got the Tropical salad and liked it ($16). it was a huge bowl of greens, too much for one person. So she ate the good stuff and left a lot of the arugula and other greens. The kid had fish and chips and liked the fish, which was fresh and fried perfectly ($15). Our server, Ana, was professional, helpful, and efficient. Very good service. Neat little place, pretty busy for a Monday. Atmosphere is very lively. We were told 35 minute wait and they were pretty spot on. Unfortunately, after being seated, nobody came to our table for 15 minutes until, Chris arrived. I think he knew that we had been waiting because he took our drink order and food order right away and was pretty prompt after that. I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos ($23): served with pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar Cheese, avocado crema, black beans, and rice. The meal came with one trip to the "Famous" salad bar. I'm not sure what makes it famous, looked pretty average, but it was still a good starter. The tacos were a big hit. There were HUGE chunks of blackened mahi-mahi, it was seasoned excellently, and so dang good! The evening was a little bit of a bumpy start, but was positively turned around and ended up being an excellent meal. I would recommend Snook Inn. My only word of caution is they have many tables in the bar area, some are about 10 feet away from where the band plays so when they have live music, it gets super loud in there. read more

Me and my friend will never turn down a seafood spot, especially if they have lobster rolls, so we came across Snook Inn, and knew we had to come. I ordered the lobster roll which came with a side of chips. First off, the ambiance of this spot is great, and it was right by the water, so it was so pretty! My food was great. SO much lobster, which I always love. The chips were also very tasty, and there were so many. The salad bar is a nice touch, it's not huge, but it's enough and it's something that we loved and you just don't see anymore. Our service was great our waiter was friendly and attentive. Seating options are varied, something for everyone. You can sit under the tiki roof, you will find the bar and band in there. It's dark, but open air and if you like a lively loud environment when you eat, this is the place to be. There is indoor seating near the salad bar, if you want a more calmer, quiet setting, this is where you want to be. There is an outdoor setting at picnic tables, if you want an outdoor setting with water views and live music, this is where you want to be, but you will need to wait to be seated. This is an extremely casual place, no need to dress up. Some not so good: Parking here is a disaster! Uber here if you can, as the parking situation is limited and tight and you find yourself circling the lot waiting for people to leave. This place doesn't take reservations, wait times can be significantly high, which doesn't help the parking situation. If you want to eat outside, be prepared to wait. We came on a Wednesday night, 5:30 (early) in April (not the busiest time of year) and we waited 45 minutes for an outdoor table. This restaurant needs a new manager. We waited for 1.5 hours for a table near the band, and after waiting patiently for a table, we were seated at a table far away from the band. I spoke with the manager, Katie, and she was not apologetic at all. She suggested waiting even longer or taking the table we got. Since my guest was hungry, I had to select the table that was far from the band. After we finished eating, there were several empty tables by the band, so I returned to the front desk, and asked if we could have one of them. The manager said that they were holding on to them for other parties, but the seats remained empty, and there was no line for the restaurant at that late hour. So, they do not value their customers or treat them well. The manager needs a good lesson in customer service. The food was ok, but my guest's fries and shrimp were not hot, so our waiter brought fresh fries. Our waiter and bartender were very nice, and the band was great, but the Manager's attitude ruined my evening. If you want poor treatment by the manager, you should definitely go to the Snook. read more

This place was packed on a Friday night. We waited about an hour for a table. The outdoor bar area was slammed and there is a line that forms for those standing to get a drink. The bar tables are not first come first serve and I watched like 5 families get elated, thinking they had just scored a table when someone got up only to find themselves booted when the server came back over and told them they had to check in with the front desk to be seated there. Last night Friday at the Snook I had a seared salmon that was so thin it was tasteless and tonight the waiter suggested knowing I was upset about Friday's thin salmon, try the luau salmon with pineapple and coconut rice. The salmon was much thicker and tastier, a much better choice, Cannot believe the thin salmon on Friday night, no flavor and what's with all the meals having the rice and green beans all piled on top of each other. The salad bar was delicious and a nice inclusion for most of the meals. Calamari was very good as was the peel and eat shrimp, Caesar salad, and beef dip sandwich. The lobster roll was not an authentic Boston lobster roll (being from there). Lobster rolls up there have lobster meat and mayo. That's it. No spices or lettuce. Even still, it was pretty good and a nice size for the price (especially including the salad bar). Next time I would eat outside. 3 stars for food, 4 stars for atmosphere. This is a place I would go to have drinks and appetizers or with a group of people. It is loud, there is live music. The waits seem to be long. You can eat in the dining room which does have a quieter atmosphere. Outside seating is at tables or picnic tables. It's nice you can grab a drink and wait by the water until your food is ready. The one trip to the salad bar during flu season was not in the top of my list of highlights. It had your standard offerings. I tried the grouper sandwich. It was good, but just bar food good. Not amazing. The kids Mac and cheese is true homemade, and that was delicious from what I sampled. The staff was friendly and accommodating. read more
