3 stars to start because I walked right in and sat down to get my ears lowered. Perfect. I've had hair for all of my 49 years, so I've done this before. Fantastic service, and far more attention to detail than I really needed - but noteworthy. I got the haircut my Mom wanted for my middle school yearbook photos. I promised him (forgot his name) I wouldnt wear my ball cap until at least tomorrow. I got 3 phone numbers from gorgeous gals before I got to my truck. 2 of them were actually women! I hope my hair grows faster now. I'll be a weekly customer. In all seriousness, excellent attention and experienced skill. The reviews from parents who weren't satisfied with their kid's haircuts probably complain about sunsets not being good enough and ice cubes not being frozen enough. read more

David is a great barber. He does good work and I've been using him for the past three years.

I had not had a hair cut during the whole Covid 19 shut down - about 9 weeks. My hair is thin, balding in the top rear and has in recent years been worn short. At this time after the shutdown it was getting fairly long for a short hair cut style. I also am new to Carefree and Arizona and had never been to a barber out here. I made an appointment for 9:40 am on Saturday morning. David was very pleasant on the phone and when I arrived at the shop. We (he and I) decided to leave my short style a bit longer on the top. My hair had grown out in the nine weeks and I liked the length on top. He did a wonderful hair cut. He styled the hair on top of my head longer (but still short) and very even - taking around 15 minutes to do it. Then he asked me how it was as he was finished. In my opinion, it was great. Perhaps the best haircut and style that I had had in many years. I asked if he could take just take a smidge more off on the top rear left and same area on the top rear right. I meant just 1/16th of an inch in only those two areas. Then suddenly he took his buzz clippers and literally buzzed the beautiful cut he had just spend 15 minutes working on off in about 30 seconds. So for a few seconds, maybe even a minute, I was sporting one of the best styles I had ever had since my hair has thinned and then 30 seconds later it was shaved down to an uneven buzz cut. I have no idea why he did this. I was very surprised and disappointed. I continue to be aggravated every time I look in the mirror. My advice - don't ask for any changes after he finishes.
