I used Chrissy at Premier Properties Management to rent a vacation home in Murphy,NC. I arrived at…read morenight to pick up my key to the house from the company, and it was dark. She didn't leave any of the lights on for me to be able to find the property (there is one small sign almost impossible to see at night). It was raining heavily, so it took us about 30 minutes to find the business. When I finally arrived, found the lock box to the property and put the code in, there was no key in the box. Another 20 minutes later and she finally responded to my texts, saying she forgot to put the key in the lock box. She showed up 10 minutes later, and when we discussed it she promised me she would take some money off the rental. I just receive my $200 deposit back, and she didn't take any money off the rental as promised. Poor business, I would not recommend using her.

The back deck has an outdoor fire place and two celeing fans. There is a small steep trail on the back side past the hot tub that will take you to a small stream. If you want quiet and out of the way this is the place for you.

We were basically the only people there the night we went, and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel manager was super friendly and accommodating. She helped provide us with firewood for the fire pit, and was super responsive to questions we had throughout our stay. She even made up the couch and brought us extra linens for our dog to sleep on. The room was super spacious and lots of fun touches to add to the mountainy atmosphere. I loved that it had a little kitchenette so we could make our own meals. They also have a fun firepit area, where we roasted marshmallows and drank some wine. It was an idyllic experience and I can't wait to go back!!

I finally got a discount though. Maybe she realized she didn't show much hospitality or empathy at all. Maybe she felt bad for how she threatened me. Who knows. AGAIN, GET YOUR MOTEL INFO STRAIGHT ON WEBSITES & THOSE SITUATIONS WOULDNT HAPPEN. ALSO... the bar is pitiful. They work so hard in there but you can't leave them a tip if you pay with a card. Our driver from the Atlanta airport, Daniel, contacted us the day before to confirm, & was punctual, with a spotless car (interior & exterior). Daniel was very personable and a lot of fun. He made the 2 1/2 hour ride home go by very quickly as he asked us our preference in music and played music we enjoyed and sang along to. I would definitely use this service again and hopefully get Daniel as our driver.

Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Didn't have any issue getting extra towels or anything we needed while we're there. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but I expected that going in and for the price, didn't really expect much.

My family has enjoyed Chimney Shadows for many years. I have stayed in both cabins and have never…read morebeen disappointed. Though they are relatively rustic, the cabins come equipped with comfortable bedding, televisions, dishes, a grill & fire pit, and of course, a wonderful hot tub; just be sure to read the website and take note of what is and is not provided before your stay. I have never had an issue with the hot tub or any appliance not working. The cabins are always clean upon arrival. For our most recent visit, the owner was kind enough to leave us a bottle of champagne and a "Happy Anniversary" card. I like the fact that the cabins are several minutes outside of Helen. However, be advised that the main road going into the town gets VERY backed up during peak season; therefore, if you are traveling during that time and expect to go to downtown Helen every day, leave early! The road gets backed up around lunchtime and stays that way until after dinner. There is a back way around the state park that will get you around Helen and to the town of Cleveland, which has some interesting shops, restaurants, and an Ingles with a Starbucks inside. The only thing we would like to see added to the cabin's amenities would be a Keurig (or similar coffee maker) with coffee selections, and extra grilling supplies (charcoal, lighter, etc.). These are very minor suggestions, though, and we plan to return to Chimney Shadows for many years to come!

Kudos to her for having the energy to respond, as the leukemia ate her alive. What do I see in yelp reviews? I see human cruelty. It appears to me that what comes with the age of social media, we evaginate. How remarkable to see people quickly return to the Neanderthal stage of human development. I digress. It was a fab trip and the weather was great. The driveway scared me but it appeared different than it was. Getting there in the dark (after 15 hours of driving) made everything appear difficult. Exhaustion! Wooden Indian was a great home. I slept through the footsteps and doors closing the 1st night. It kept my husband up all night. I am sorry I missed it, and I am sad he did not wake me. I knew my sister would let me know she was there. Every time we mentioned her name the lights blinked. The strangest thing of all, my 3.5lb Pomeranian (who cannot do steps) was found on the leather couch when we returned from dinner out. Four of us left the house, I was the last one out.. keeping the two pups from shooting out the door. I know she was on the floor (barking and spinning as she does) when we left. Jeanette had 10 dogs... such a dog lover. I presume Jeanette was holding her before we got back? It freaked the other 3 people in our group out, not me. Les Hatfield sent an email to me 11/7/2020 telling me my reservation was cancelled because someone had booked it back in august for the same dates. Didn't call, dodged my phone calls until I called him from a number local to them. Guess he expects me to just lose my travel deposits and rearrange mine and my family's vacation 7 days before we were supposed to leave on it. He should be fired immediately. If they want me to stop leaving reviews , they can send me a check and pay for my vacation. Until then, I will continue. Jeanette, he did dodge my phone calls. I called from my personal cell number 8 times, no answer. I called once from a Canoe rental shop in Morgantown, he answered on the second ring. Then he was rude and could care less that he was destroying a vacation that I had planned a month in advance. I sent you an email and got no response as well. I had your email address from one of the 3 other times that my wife and I rented cabins from you. No answer either. We can't believe that your employee is so careless that he didn't realize something was double booked until 6 days before we were set to go on vacation. Your cancellation policy is 14 days or we owe the full amount. Well guess what, if I am held to that policy, so are you.
