Our server was absolutely fabulous! Very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. I had haddock and chips and my wife had the vegetarian beaver dam poutine. We both enjoyed our meals. New building echos and noisy as a gymnasium. Cold air blowing on hi when furnace not running young staff is polite but usless because they say "what do you want me to do" that's a young person attitude and didn't appreciate that. The home fries I was told are from frozen amd when I asked for the home made kind that put the place on the map i was told I didn't get here early enough only in early morning. 4 trios in a year I've missed them. Today i ordered bright and early and still got the frozen. I inquired and was told that was long gone before covid. She even laughed at me. Over priced because of the new toronto "city idiots" buying out here. Even fool land is crazy priced. Not a fan. Never going back. Was a good thing and now it's dead. Sad. read more

My wife and I had breakfast this morning (Nov. 6,2024 ) and for the price,$9.50, it was delicious. Included 2 eggs,bacon,potatoes ,toast/jam and bottomless coffee. The service was excellent. worth every penny read more

So I guess part of this restaurant is an unattached full station gas station. It had very limited foods/snacks for purchase for being on the road. The contents of items for purchase were very scattered. We stopped for gas and the attendant was friendly and speedy but I would try to avoid this ESSO if you are looking for a quick clean pit stop for gas. The bathroom was kinda gross and I had to request toilet paper as there was more on the floor than in the stall. I really had to go! Thank God I carry my own sanitizer and wet wipes!! read more

A week ago, my very elderly parents-in-law had a terrible experience with this restaurant. There was a line up and my father in law who is a very frail 93yr old man became weak and he stepped inside the door and found a chair that wasn't being used for patrons and sat down. Very soon a server asked him to get back in the line. My brother in law explained that he couldn't stand any longer and he was sitting in a chair that wasn't being used. The server didn't care and again told them to get back in the lineup. My father-in-law was terribly humiliated and left. I called the restaurant to talk about the experience with staff. My in laws live in Komoka and used to eat there often but now they don't want to again. I was hoping that an apology would help with that. I spoke with the staff member who was present during the experience. She explained that regardless of his physical condition, he needed to stand in line. When I said that he had no intention of jumping the queue, she remained adamant that he had done wrong. Her words were, "If it happened again in the future, the outcome would be the same. Otherwise, he should stay in the car". I was shocked at her total lack of empathy. This couple had been going to this restaurant every week for a while now but they refuse to go again. Thank goodness that this doesn't happen elsewhere. This couple is so visibly vulnerable it's so hard to believe anyone would treat them like this. I am so disgusted with how our elderly are treated sometime. We won't forget about this for a long time. read more

The Little Beaver Restaurant is your classic diner you see the in the movies. This diner has been around for decades, and has seen many regulars, and I too wanted to have that authentic experience. My boyfriend who grew up in Komoka, decided to take me today. He said nothing had really changed either. It was packed when we walked in the door and luckily, he spotted a booth in which we quickly took it, and a waitress was with us in minutes. We went on Sunday morning, so it was very loud, the restaurant is a small filed with tons of tables, booths and people. We were asked if we needed a menu which we did, and we both got black coffee, and for diner coffee, it wasn't that bad. There was the option of the buffet or ordering off the menu, next time, I might try the buffet, I walked by it and everything looked delicious! I ended up ordering the #12, which was 2 eggs, your way, bacon, homefries, toast and pancakes. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy, the homefries we're flavourful and everything was HOT! I think we inhaled everything because of how hungry we were. The whole place brings back nostailga, and warm feelings when you want that perfect diner experience. The washrooms, although small, were clean, and the service was impeccable. I am definitely coming back, not only for the food, but for the service, the nostalgia and that authentic diner experience. read more

Oh what a classic! The Little Beaver Restaurant is a gem of a diner that has been around for ages. You can tell just from the signage out front to the tables and decor inside. This is the perfect spot if you need to stop off the highway or catch breakfast with coworkers before the day starts (if you work out in Komoka like I do!). The service here is interesting. Almost like, they expect you to know the drill because they have SO many regulars. We were asked if we needed menus, yes...menu's would be good. When she came to take our order, she took away the menus before we could tell her what we wanted so I of course got flustered and forgot what I was going to ask for. I'm a visual learner okay? They did do a great job in ensuring everyones coffee was completely full the entire time. Gotta give them that! I had the hot chocolate and the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and whole wheat toast. The hot chocolate was tasty, even though it did probably come from a machine. It wasnt weak and the whipped cream on top was great. The bacon with my breakfast was cooked to PERFECTION. Why can't places get it right? Oh, because they haven't been around as long as the Beaver, that's why. I've worked down the road from here for about 5 years and I've gone twice. I should go more often but I always feel like it will be packed. I should give it more of a shot, especially since I'm a sucker for greasy food and rice pudding. I'll give 'er a go for lunch and report back one day! read more

Great place. My GPS lists it on the north side of the highway, but the place was so popular they built a new MUCH larger restaurant just a bit west and on the south side of the road. Wonderful food, great service. Worthy of a 20% tip. Went there two times while visiting friends in the London area. Excellent priced breakfast special and lovely menu selections. We have been going to this place for awhile. 20 years worth. Since the ownership change, it's slipping quickly down hill. To the point, I will have to let it go. From warm crappy coffee to fries in a large clump (under cooked, raw) and absolutely abysmal service..... One wonders what (other than loyalty) would make anyone come back. My kids LOVE their fettuccine, poutine, fish and chips . It's a classic diner . The rice pudding is a show stopper and THE BREAD PUDDING ... I never ate it before I ate there ... and boy oh boy... We always attempt to arrive at Little Beaver between lunch and dinner to avoid the crowds as this place is very popular. I know so many people that drive there from London. The menu is classic diner with daily specials and all day breakfast. On my last visit I ordered a chicken breast club with fries. The breast was a good size, but I got a few bites of gristle which is something I really hate chewing. If it's a lot, it puts me off the meal completely and this was getting very close. The fries were a little soggy too. I basically bemoaned my choice to be honest. My mom shared her strawberry rhubarb crumble dessert with me and that saved the meal. The desserts are always top notch, though. The servers range from abrupt to friendly, sometimes both if you catch them at the right time (shift change), but you know they are doing their best in such a busy place. I don't know if I'll ever manage to pick an amazing dish for myself, but I like it enough to keep trying. read more

A+ all around. The one thing I miss about Montreal is a good breakfast restaurant, and I think I finally found "the one." This is a diner type restaurant that serves just about everything at really reasonable prices. I got the two-egg, bacon, and blueberry pancake combo. So much food for $9. Pancakes were legitimately some of the best pancakes I've ever had; super fluffy, great flavor and texture - the bomb. This has been an excellent restaurant just outside of the London area. For a place to dine for lunch, this must have been a hidden gem off of the 402. This diner serves perfect Canadian food. Whether it would be back (Canadian) bacon sandwiches, club sandwiches, burgers, poutine, or even pies and tarts, come to this place for a nice little appetite. As cheap as it is for your money, this is all worth it. For the food, my mother and I both shared the club sandwich with turkey and bacon on stacked white toast. That was a great sandwich! The coleslaw was delicious, and the fries too. The gravy was pretty good for dipping fries as well. For the dessert, the coconut and lemon meringue pies were finely done to perfection. I even bought butter tarts to take for a snack for later time. The Little Beaver is a family style restaurant with fantastic Breakfast, quick Lunches, and divine home cooked dinners. I set my standard for Greasy Spoon Breakfasts on the Little Beaver's offering as it is one of the finest I've had. Their burgers are made fresh on the premesis and are heartier than most. The fries are like the deliscious fare from a roadside Chip Wagon. Fresh Cut potatoes in a well used frier. Larger dinners are also superior to most of the family restaurants in the area and there are quite a few. When one is visiting a small town and looking for a good place to eat, they should always find the place where the farmers, truckers, and cops go to eat. The Little Beaver is that place between London and Strathroy. The recent addition of a Subway and a Tim Horton's across the road has not dampened business at this gem in the country at all. We are BIG fans of the banana cream pie. It is the best we have found and an affordable treat under $5.00. The staff is very friendly. The washrooms could use renovating...They turn a sandwich into a banquet with the Beaver burger and the fish and chips are very good. I recommend getting gravy on their yummy fries. read more
