Staff was prompt and polite. Nice variety of bagels. Not a Montreal style bagel but has to be the best bagels in London.

When it comes to hidden gems in London this one has to be near the top of the list…read more I don't make it to often but every time I do I make a mental note to come back more often. Which I then promptly forget until the next time I am nearby. I have never not been impressed. The coffee, locally roasted is absoutley fantastic and only pales if you dare compare it to the freshly made baked goods: cookies, cupcakes, muffins, cakes pies ... the list goes on. They all look and taste amazing! They also have breakfast, sandwiches, soups and all kinds of entrées. While it is often overlooked from the outside it is cozy and wonderful once you enter. A lending library, board games and locally made products like coffee and honey await you inside. I'm actually leaving myself another mental note to return shortly - let's see if this one sticks.

Having heard so many great things from some of the Yelpers out there, I knew I had to drop in to La…read moreNoisette and see what all the fuss was about! Upon first glance, this place seems like a simple little bakery, nothing too special. However, they do have something pretty cool cooking up in store! Have you tried a bagel bomb!? No? Well it's essentially bagel dough wrapped around awesome filing to make a little ball of goodness! My friend and I both purchased a pizza bagel bomb. The girl at the counter was happy to explain all the different varieties but we couldnt resist the cheese, sauce, and meat that was waiting inside this thing. She heat it up for a little bit and also prepared us some wonderful Angry Alpaca tea (if you haven't tried this stuff yet, do yourself a favour and get some. It's local tea and it tastes AMAZING!). I loved the flavour of the pizza bagel bomb. They put some nice spices on top and the fillings weren't your typical mozzarella and pepperoni. I believe capicola and provolone as well? It was the perfect little pick me up since we didnt want a big lunch. The bakery was consistently busy! There was always someone at the counter but the service is quick. I believe La Noisette supplies bagel bombs to a few spots in London. I'll be happy to recommend them to anyone! I want to try the Nutella one next!

Stopped by for a driving break in London…read more Grabbed a small green tea and a large peppermint mocha latte with oat milk. Comes with two shots of espresso only. C$11.30, about $8.12 or so. Staff are warm and friendly. Looks like I ended up with a bigger cup in the end for my tea. The smaller is what I wanted though. As such the tea was weak and didn't have much flavor. I did a double take on the label, it's Bigelow. The peppermint mocha latte wasn't bad.

I did not think that my Monday could be made after a random search for a cafe in London, ON but…read moreholy moly I was so wrong! The name caught my eye at first because I thought it was Eritrean and my spidey senses were spot on. For anyone who claims to know anything about coffee, you know that Eritreans have a whole ceremony dedicated to this process. I had high hopes and I was not disappointed! I ordered a flat white with no sugar, so I could really taste the quality of the coffee. My drink was smooth, delicious, and sweet. I loved the coffee so much I ended up buying a bag of the same roast to take home. A family-owned business and I was greeted by the owner when I walked in. They're so nice here! There's plenty of seating to do some work, read or catch up with friends. The only thing I'd improve is getting some wifi set up. They also have sandwiches, food, and desserts which I didn't end up getting a chance to try but the options are there. Can't wait to go back!

There's no better way to feel old than to go back to the good old alma mater. I'm glad I don't…read morenecessarily look a lot older than the students, or else I'll be that one person on campus sitting around, creepily staring at young people. The Spoke is a hub of student activity and a good place to just sit, eat a bagelwich, and contemplate on where the time has gone. It never even occurred to me other universities don't have a place like this. You've got a bar/café hybrid smack dab in the student centre with comfy sofas and giant TVs. No wonder this place was always packed. You can hype yourself up with espresso and then mellow out with a pint. Most importantly, the food is actually stellar! My favourite was the CLT (Chicken Lettuce Tomato) wrap. Pair it with a Caesar salad and I was a happy, happy, broke student. I'd also reward myself with poutine after a particularly difficult exam. In hindsight, it was crappy poutine with shredded cheese and not a single curd but damn it was tasty! Especially with a liberal sprinkling from the free bottle of Cajun spice. The café side serves typical on-the-go breakfast food. The most well-known are the bagelwiches, which will rock your world. If you think that's healthier than the bar food, think again. These things were a greasy, glorious mess. Turkey club on mushroom and swiss bagel may make you think you're making healthy decisions, but you're just fooling yourself. It's okay, you won't regret it. Grab an iced coffee with it and it's practically a perfect lunch. If you're on campus for any reason, this is the place to be. Come here to relax and east some good food at a good price. If you're a student, you can stare outside the window at Weldon and weigh the options of drinking another beer or studying. But let's be real, is that even really a choice? (9/100) - 2017

Every Western student knows this place or at least has heard of it. It's a definite must experience…read morefor every student (and everyone - good food is meant to be shared!). As soon as you walk in, you're faced with the cafe where you'll find lighter foods like cookies, brownies, bagelwiches, froyo, great coffee, and their irresistible bagels and cream cheese varieties, etc. Move further in and you'll find the main kitchen that serves heavier food - burgers, wraps, burritos, nachos, and fries, etc. There's also a full bar at the back - for studying, relaxing, catching up, and having fun. I've tried quite a few things on their menu including their famous CLTs (chicken, lettuce, tomatoes - they're famous for a reason - truly delicious), the burritos - super stuffed and packed with flavour, their deep fried pickles (unfortunately, I dont see them anymore on their menu), their fries, nachos, bagels, and coffee. The Spoke also has monthly specials served at the cafe or the main kitchen so look out for the posters. I've had a veggie burger and butter chicken tacos in the past - but they're only there for a month so get them when you see them! The Spoke has quality food and the atmosphere is very relaxed. They have weekly events events like Monday Open Mic, Tuesday karaoke, Wednesdays with Rick McGhie, Thursday coffee houses, and wired Fridays with the campus radio station - CHRW. They also host special events fom time to time. So no matter when you go, it's always going to be a good time.

The ordering was interesting but cute. You had to order and pick up outside in these windows. There were lots of patio seats outside but I believe they also had limited inside seats as well. The window was adorable and decorated with pics of puppies! The people working there were super kind and nice. I ordered the breakfast bagel bomb and the chicken pesto wrap. Breakfast Bagel Bomb - in the bagel bomb (more like a huge bagel bite), there were bacon bites, egg, and cheese. It was really good! The bagel was super chewy and soft which was great. The inside was good too. I kinda wish the bacon was crispy instead of soft. I also wish the inside was slightly more seasoned. In terms of the bagel to inside stuffing ratio, would preferred if there was less bagel and more stuffing. Overall, not bad but maybe I'll try another flavour next. 3.5/5 Chicken Pesto Wrap - this wrap was BOMB!!!! I wish this cafe was near me because I'd order this all the time. This was absolutely delicious and would recommend. One call out is it's pretty oily, at least the outside was because I had to ask for a second paper bag to switch it into as my first one was soaked in oil by the end. 4.8/5 Would recommend visiting this place! Area around this cafe is also cute. You can go on a cute walk around the street.
