Took three different people to work on my hair because they didn't know what they were doing. My hair was silver and I just wanted a root touch up. My hair is naturally blonde too so I don't know why it was so difficult. They also charged me more without telling me front and charged me for things i didn't want. It's all a scam too because the price they tell you in the beginning will be completely different from the end of the appointment. Won't ever go again. Please save your money. read more

I loved my cut and style by Nelson! I have wavy/curly hair and an unmanageable texture. I don't know how to care for it so I just let it frizz up. At my usual salon after a cut my hair is just blown out, so I always love it and after I wash I can not recreate that blow out at home. I tend to hate the cut and fry my hair trying to make it behave. I asked for a shag cut with tons of volume because I have thin hair. I was worried that it would go into mullet territory because of the thinning. Nelson however, assessed my texture and gave me the craziest curls I've ever seen on my head!! I appreciated how she actually used the right products and listened to my concern about eliminating heat instead of just taking a round brush and blowing it out like all prior salons have done to me. I now know the steps to take to keep my hair exactly the way I want it and she recommended a product that feels really nice in my hair. I'm hoping to keep coming back as I try to grow out my hair, while keeping my cute rock star shag intact. The overall ambiance is very clean, and unique. Don't choose a "junior" stylist...still costs $90 for an unskilled haircut. My stylist, who I purposely won't name, seemed so timid and insecure, she could barely make a cut. The shape was all wrong and unbalanced. She didn't really seem to have a plan and just randomly moved around my head making tiny little cuts. They offered to have me come back in to work with a "senior" stylist who would instruct the "junior" how to do it better. Spending another 3 hours there for a training session isn't appealing and I don't think the training should be on customer's time and money. This was the second time at the salon. This place really messed up my hair, even though I came in with photos of what I wanted. The stylist Dylan, didn't ask where I wanted my layers to sit, didn't check in with me and basically just started hacking away, when she realized we were running short on time, after spending a ridiculous amount of time giving me really messed up bangs. I ended up with shaggy layers that I absolutely hate but besides that my hair was super uneven. The bangs I asked for where also done really badly. I had to go to a different salon to take an additional 6 inches off of my long hair because the cut was so bad and the separation of the layers was ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here. They have refused to return my calls and the receptionist was unbelievably rude. I told them not to charge my card because the service was so bad but they did anyways. They butchered 2.5 years of my growing my hair out. Unless you want a super hacked cut, just stay away from here trust me!!!! I wish I wouldn't have gone here so badly :( read more

If you're looking for a good stylist make sure you do your research on their website and look who you're booking with. I've gone a total of 4 times and they've been great except the most recent one. I recommend Nelson and Maggie, they're amazing at taking instructions and really seem to care about their art. The people have always been super nice and I loved my wolf cut by Nelson and bangs by Maggie. The only thing I regret is booking my bang trim with Trinity which they were super nice and I appreciate how welcoming they were, but I did come out with very choppy bangs that were uneven and an extra layer in my bangs which I didn't really notice until i got home and other people told me. I tried to email little broken things to see if I can just go in to get my bangs fixed and nothing else and they never responded. It would of been nice if they had just responded but they didn't so I had to go to GreatClips to fix them. The stylist at greatclips saw how uneven and choppy they were and immediately saw the problem. She mentioned that they left the side pieces two very different lengths and added a new layer to my bangs. She managed to fix them but I had to go shorter than what I wanted but it is what it is. Overall, great place but look into the stylist before booking with them. They've always been great but this past experience did suck. read more

This was, by far, the BEST hair experience I've ever had! I'm going back again in a week :) I am currently working with a stylist, Allison. They are so funny and kind and treat me like a friend. I felt so accepted there and everyone seemed to happy to be working there. I've worked in salons and I've been going to one for the last 10 years, and this one haircut made me realize I don't want to go anywhere but here! This hair salon is, without a doubt, the most impressive place of its kind that I have ever visited, and I am not exaggerating when I say that. Before coming to this salon, I've been to a number of others, but none compare to the caliber of this establishment. Even without considering the outside, it already has a top-tier interior. In addition to that, the ambiance was so relaxing that I actually preferred sleeping here than my own bed at home. The staff members are quite pleasant and helpful. They truly made sure that I was comfortable with them while they were cutting my hair. They keep trying to fill me in on what they are doing in my hair by informing me and asking me questions. Because of this, I have every reason to believe that I will be pleased with the results of their new haircut. I was with the same hair dresser for almost 10 years when I found myself suddenly without a hairdresser. Ugh. The search to find a new person that could work with my fine, hard to color, over processed hair took me about a year. In that time I went to quite a few of the best reviewed salons in Chicago with underwhelming results and lots of damage to my hair. The last place I went to before I found Cassie did so much damage to my hair that big chunks had fallen off, I had big pieces that were only an inch long. My hair was in REALLY bad shape. I had almost given up on finding a great stylist and I was really gun shy, but some friends suggested I try Twisted Scissors in Logan. That's where I met Cassie (aka Charlie) and she started nursing my hair back to health. Since that initial visit, I've seen her once every 4-6 weeks for months. Each time she consistently gets me a perfect beige blonde without causing any extra damage to my oh so fragile hair. She is even helping me plan months in advance so that my hair can be right for my wedding next year. She opened her own spot, Little Broken Things, so I of course followed. I love her new spot even more than where she was before, it is really welcoming and cool-girl stylish... just like Cassie! Because I had never gone to a place that specialized in alternative haircuts, I was really excited upon entering LBT. The ambiance was welcoming and they seated me quick. I asked for a soft shag as I'd grown out the layers from the last time I had it cut. All I needed was a trim to redefine it; I told her this and even showed her a photo of what my hair looked like a few months prior. She kept mentioning my thick hair while thinning it to oblivion; as she is a white stylist, I'm unsure if she knew how to work with ethnic hair. She made me look like a mushroom. My hair did not reflect the reference images I showed her in the slightest. She did what she wanted with my hair instead of what I wanted. Then when it came to paying she charged me way over the price for a short or even medium cut (my hair is short) which confused me. It seemed that she was focused more on getting tiktok content than giving me the haircut that I wanted and making sure I was satisfied. I'm really shy and was trying to be open to the haircut she gave me but I shouldn't have to settle for something that someone else wanted.
