First, I hate when establishments pad the time or always give the same time to pickup. The reason I'm picking up and not having it delivered, is because I want to eat HOT food. So I arrived earlier than told, and the pizza clearly had been ready for at least 8-10 minutes before they predicted it would be ready. Second. I was impressed with the size and quality of there Italian Salad. Great price at $9.99. Galaxy Supreme $14.99, outside of toppings. Good price. Only disappointment was it sat waiting for me, due to being told too long it would be ready, so it wasn't hot when I got home. Btw...mushrooms on pizza are sliced fresh ones...I forgot to ask...I'm one of those people that only like canned mushrooms on my pizza.

I'm a little bit of a baked bean snob, and these pass my test. The potato salad was okay, but I didn't finish it. The Cornbread was also excellent! The service was were this place failed brilliantly. I walked in and was ignored by the older lady who was having a slow conversation with another customer and didn't even acknowledge me. I decided to use the restroom. When I came out there was a girl on the phone for 5 minutes for someone making a reservation. Again didn't even acknowledge me. Their was the older lady standing back by the bar, looked like either an owner or manager, just having a conversation with another employee the entire time. Just ignoring me. Finally a waitress walked up after waiting way too long and asked If I'd been helped. After being seated it took almost 10 minutes to get served. The place wasn't even 50% full, so there was no excuse. After finally ordering the service was hit or miss. Okay for a little bit then absent again. When I was actually served it was very friendly. I was considering ordering one of their new shakes, but with the absentee service a d her nit even asking if I wanted dessert, I decided against it. Overall the rating is difficult. The food and atmosphere definitely deserve a 5. The service was so bad the rating should be a 3 at best. However considering those Wontons I'll give the place an iffy 4 star review! Would I return? If only for the Wontons than an absolute yes.

The waffle fries and onion petals were cold when served. When our server checked on us, we politely mentioned the issue. The waffle fries and onion petals were remade, but while the fries came back hot, the onion petals were still cold. Beyond that, there was little effort made to address the rest of the meal or improve the experience.

But most importantly, the booth in the corner is empty, the booth where you would find the owner smoking a cigarette almost every night. Unfortunately he passed, a very serious fellow but he could cook wonders. A truly authentic feel and taste. The roast beef sub was in my opinion, the best in the region. And their chicken Alfredo was super creamy, a real delicacy. The Italian bread was the secret I believe. A very nostalgic place to me that is no more, the changes have been drastic. They say change is good but there's always an exception. The roast beef sub was perfect, it didn't need to switch from Swiss to cheddar cheese and definitely didn't need bacon. I did ask for the original which they gladly made, the taste was a bit off though. The Alfredo was a bit watery and the flavor was very mild compared to the rich, sharper flavor the older one had. The pizza wasn't bad, didn't change much. Service was pretty decent, no complains there. The updated menu was a real game changer for me, will no longer be dining here.
