A man, who was the only person in front of us in line when we arrived, waited even longer. While we were waiting we noticed a fairly steady stream of customers picking up carry out orders. The folks who worked there were actually working, but the kitchen is small and there simply is not much room for extra help. I ordered a small grilled chicken salad with Bleu cheese dressing and a chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing. My salad was good. I especially appreciated the addition of banana peppers. The cupcake was the "old-fashioned" kind: standard size with an appropriate amount of icing. Honestly, it was a refreshing change from the ginormous designer cupcakes that are so popular now. The cake was moist and the icing was perfect. Paul ordered a Hawaiian pizza and a yellow cupcake with white icing. He thought the pizza was "okay." I had a piece and thought the crust was good but the rest of it was whatever. He thought the cupcake was "your basic boxed cupcake." In sum, Papas is a good place to go if you don't want to break the bank and you don't mind waiting (or ordering takeout). 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 due to hardworking people and that chocolate cupcake.
