I'm out in the area for work...and found this cute little restaurant. I have tried it several times and the food is amazing!! I ordered the chicken cheese steak sandwich fir lunch one day. It was served on a fresh baked roll & I had to use my fork to eat the meat that fell out & it comes with fries that are delicious!! Or you can sub a salad. Their chip beef wonderful!! And if you ask fir crispy bacon & home fries you get Crispy!!! Not sloppy greasy!!! A friend ordered the tips & mushrooms, smelled delicious and he couldn't stop talking about it...nor could he finish it!! The chicken pot pie special...mmm no words!! They have ran out the last two weeks!! I wish every town had a diner like this one!!! And as for pricing...I have gone to fast food restaurants or chain restaurants and spent just as much or more on my meal and was not as satisfied with the quality, service and no left overs at other places!! read more

My husband and I were in Coatesville for a volunteer trip and were looking for a place for a late lunch- Little Chef was PERFECT. A sweet and tidy interior, warm and friendly staff, and a large menu with plenty of options for even my weird limited diet. I got the hot turkey plate, which tasted like the one of the best Thanksgiving dinners I've ever had. The turkey was moist and delicious, the veggie sides were fresh and not overcooked, even the stuffing (which I would normally skip at an actual Thanksgiving dinner) was great! The portion size was perfect too- not too big like at most casual restaurants. I'd much rather have fresh, well-cooked food, than a huge overflowing plate of mediocre food, of which half ends up being wasted. My husband ordered a breakfast plate, which they graciously served to us at 3:00 in the afternoon. He loved the fresh eggs and hash browns, and especially the turkey sausage- always a welcome sight on a breakfast menu since we don't eat mammal meat. The only downside for me was the loud modern-country music, but then again, I am a city gal. Other than that, my compliments to the chef and entire staff of "Little Chef"- I need to find more reasons to go back to Coatesville so I can eat there again! read more

I hosted a graduation party last week and I have heard so many great reviews from all of my party attendees! In particular about the chicken Alfredo being the best they have ever had!! Really great service. Even the cook came out to ask how everything was going. All very nice people. And a very cute place overall. But there were a few things I would change. We got there at 12:15 and they brought us a breakfast menu. Their ice water didn't taste too good. Maybe a better filter on their tap would be good. Their salad could have had a little more romaine and a little less iceberg. And their balsamic dressing seemed like pure vinegar. The food is good and fresh but service is EXTREMELY SLOW for those who call in ahead for pickup. I even go to pick up my order 15-20 minutes AFTER they tell me it's ready and I still have to wait on average an additional 15 minutes. BUT the reason why I still go there is because of the food.
