Man oh man!!! When I say the food is out of this world. It's so good. Like me and my daughter was fighting over the egg roll. She had put me one in my bag and I didn't know it until we got home. We ordered fried rice with chicken wings. It was the best we ever had... we ate ever crumb!! This is definitely our spot for Chinese food now!! And customer service was A1 as well. Great food with some original takes on traditional dishes. Maybe a bit salty and I wish they had Zero (anything) on the soda fountain but otherwise great food. Portions are large and well repsented, everything was delecious that we tried and although they cost more than the Chinese restaurant that is closer to us, their quality is better and portions are large. The staff were extremely friendly and patient, even when my three-year-old son was running around their restaurant because he hates sitting still. The food was great, and the serving sizes were massive! You get lots of food for what you pay. We went on Easter Sunday, so it was slow, but the food came out very fast. We ducked in here this past Monday between errands and the torrential downpour outside. Both my boyfriend and I ordered the buffet. My other friend ordered a udon noodle dish. My friend really enjoyed her dish. I sampled one of the noodles and they were thick and chewy just like I know them to be. I was pleased with the buffet but I wasn't ecstatic. I primarily ate the General Tso chicken and lo mein. I also had some of the cheese stuffed wontons and a few donuts. The chicken was great! The lo mein was okay. The cheese stuffed wontons had been under the heat for a tad too long. On each of the two donuts I had on my plate one side of it was rock hard. I did also enjoy the egg drop soup! The owner of this restaurant is dishonest.. They have a bait and switch menu... She was super rude. Wouldn't answer any questions. It was 13.50 for all you can eat... or $9.80 a pound take out... I asked her which one's the cheapest. I just want a scoop of the chicken and an egg roll and she wouldn't answer me... what do you want, sir? What do you want, sir pick.. so I said fine. Give me the takeout.. one scoop of chicken and an egg roll. Came out to 3 pounds... now you tell me is it cheaper for the restaurant if I sit in there and eat all I can eat or if I take a small portion to go.. It's totally bait and switch. I said well I'd like to stay here and eat then and she said I don't do dishes... you took the dish you pay.. total scammer totally rude... I left the food on the counter... I would not doubt it if that woman didn't go to the back and put it right back in the rotation.. why wouldn't she? She's trying to scam people out of money... Update!!! We went back for more dumplings and other appetizers. It was PERFECT!!! There was the perfect amount of salt/soy sauce in the food. And the House Fried Rice was DELICIOUS. I guess they pay attention to their reviews! That's a good sign. It means they CARE. And by the way... The dumplings are SOOOO good! read more

RAW FOOD. We picked this restaurant because of some reviews that said the food was fresh. I tell you it was not even close to the truth. We Ordered Mongolian Beef but the beef tasted like beef and broccoli flavor in what I could only describe as onion soup. I was really craving some egg rolls. Mine were raw!!!! Only the outer shell was lightly brown, the inside was completely raw and ice cold. And the fried rice had hardly any vegetables which the peas were still frozen in the center and carrots were cold too. I get food you take come can be cooler but we waited for our food left as soon as it was done and we live only 10 mins from the restaurant so that wasn't what happened. The food was not cooked properly nor do they know what Mongolian Beef is comprised of at all. Pros? The place is bright, clean, spacious, and inviting. The woman who waited on us was very nice. We saw an employee wiping down tables and chairs--while actually waring gloves! The lunch buffet items were fresh and hot (and crispy where called for--the rangoons were delish) and my non-buffet order was huge, ready in a flash, and delivered to my table. Cons? We were there at lunchtime but they gave me (charged me for) a dinner portion--which I didn't realize until they brought it out and then I looked at my receipt. Why would you do that at lunch without asking? Interesting. And tap water (which you get from the pop machine) is 25¢. Really? Lame (and they didn't tell me up front--not that the cost is the issue, just that there's a cost at all). And my Spicy Chicken with Basil was tasty enough overall with tender pieces of chicken and a not-too-salty sauce, but had no basil at all that I could see or taste. But overall it was quite good and I'll definitely be back. Random notes: They have Pepsi products on tap (self-serve) and Coke products in the cooler. This has to be the best chinese food in all of Jacksonville! I ordered the shrimp fried rice, The shrimp were HUGE and the rice was actually brown and everything tastes amazing! So glad I finally found a Chinese spot in this town. I've ordered carry out about four times and each time has been great. They do the classics well. Hot and sour soup, beef and broccoli, shrimp with mixed vegetables and crab Rangoon are all good. Wonton soup a bit bland but no biggie. Place is very clean and staff are friendly. This was sooo good. We are visiting from Indiana/Ohio and just popped in for a quick meal. The Spicy Kung Pao Chicken and Hunan Beef were incredible. The Egg Roll was great but the Vegetable Spring Roll was amazing. Huge portions. We will definitely be back on our next trip. read more

Recently, we have all stopped going here bc some of us like to have pork fried rice instead of the plain rice, they are charging a 4.95 up charge for this on the combination plates!!
