Of course the highlight was the seesaw. Haha. Maria Munoz is the owner and she is very sweet. Answered any questions for the adults or kids and allowed our group to take over the farm for a few hours. Tons of animals here...bunnies, goats, pigs, emus, horses, chickens and more. Admission is free but donations are always welcome! Please consider donating to help offset the cost of maintaining this farm. Come check out this place with your friends or family. Really just a cute farm. I honestly didn't even know this was here. It's located in a neighborhood. There is also a horse stable next to the farm, Showclass Stables. Well, I must have come on a bad day. Maybe the animals were tired. Maybe the staff were tired. I…read moredon't know. All I know is I felt like I was at my cousin's house and they happened to have animals. There were no directions or explanations...until it came time to pay. Now that part was explained perfectly. Honestly, I probably could have seen the same thing at my local shelter and saved $30. I'm hoping the money goes toward helping the animals, but it's really hard to tell. They have goats, plenty of birds, llamas, pigs, and horses. I wouldn't call it a true petting zoo because most of the petting is done through a gate. If you want a horse ride, you have to ask. No one offers or tells you about it. Everything looked like it could use some updating or repairs, and the overall vibe from most of the staff was, "Please hurry up so we can get back to what we were doing." A couple of employees were pleasant and helpful, but they weren't going above and beyond. They simply gave us what we asked for. Overall, I probably won't be back. At least my $30 went toward helping the animals...I hope.

Flamingo Gardens is one of our favorite places in South Florida. Honestly, I'd even call it a…read morepeacock garden because there are so many of them wandering freely throughout the property. I especially love visiting during the winter months when the weather is cooler. It's the perfect time to slow down, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and have a little picnic with the kids. There are plenty of peaceful spots to sit, relax, and watch the peacocks walking around. The grounds are always clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. When you buy your tickets, you can also purchase bird food. We fed both the flamingos and the peacocks, and while it was a fun experience, here's my little tip--don't feed the peacocks from your hand unless you're ready for a pretty strong peck! I learned that one the hard way. There is also a small café, guided tram tours, and on weekends they often have live music, especially in the evenings or during holiday events. Around Christmas, the gardens are beautifully decorated with lights, making the whole place feel even more magical. If you're looking for a relaxing day surrounded by nature, Flamingo Gardens is definitely worth a visit.

I especially loved seeing the peacocks roaming around, the wildlife, and taking the tram through the gardens. I hired Elsa for my daughters 6th Birthday at $150 a hour. She showed up looking like a homeless…read moreElsa. Her wig was not on straight and her braid was coming apart. She also did not have any make up on. She looked like she slept in her tattered costume and rolled out of her car after a night of binge drinking. I could forgive all of that if she had any personality once so ever. She did not keep the kids entertained nor did I get to take pictures as promised. She also had a Spanish accent, which clearly Elsa does not. I was so upset that I emailed the company after the party and asked for a refund which I was NOT given. They offered me 50% off a future party but after that why would I even hire them again, and throw in the poor customer service. All of the parents were telling me how I should get my money back, even the kids were saying she wasn't real they could see her hair. I would have gladly paid double for a better entertainer. It's not the money but the principle that I did not get what I paid for. You would think for $150 a hour Elsa could get herself a decent wig. My daughters halloween costume at home is more authentic looking. Just bad business.
