The 5 acres Happy Tails Dog Park is located in Seminole Park in Plantation. This is one of the nicest dog parks I have been to in south Florida. In addition to providing a place for your pup to play, the park is home to the Plantation Canine Unit. Inside the dog park are three activity areas. These include a leash free run area for large dogs, an exercise area for agility training, and an area for smaller dogs that are twenty-five pounds or less. Additional amenities at the park are restrooms and pavilions. The park is open every day from 7:00 AM until dusk every day, except for Wednesdays when it is open from 12 noon until dusk. During the year there are special events held here and vaccination clinics. The park was full of dogs during my visit. Since the dogs are leash free you have to keep a close eye on what is going on but if you have a well behaved dog this could be a really fun place to visit and have your pooch play while meeting other dog parents.

Really cute and well maintained dog park. Love their respectful 3 sections for small dogs, over 25 pounds, and mixed. Has park benches, and picnic tables if you're looking to bring human snacks too. Lots of free parking. My dog is happy here, which means I am happy here.

This is the best dog park(s) to go to. There's 3 areas to choose from. 25lbs and under, 25lbs and up (agility course) and then the large dogs. Each area is large and has enough room for the humans to actually walk on a sidewalk path through the play area while their pet plays. It's very clean, has water stations, poopy bags available, and a feet watering cleaning station on the way out. It's truly fantastic for our pets!

By far this seems to be the best dog park in the area. Well maintained by a loyal and attentive crew, there is a nice mix of well behaved breeds visiting here it appears. Few sandy areas so the dogs stay relatively clean though shade can be hit or miss. There is often a nice breeze so that hot and muggy summer days may be more bearable than anticipated. The park has CCTV which provides a feeling of relative safety. Still, signs not to leave valuables in the car are obviously present. The park is shared with a public area for games, tennis and relaxing where dogs are not permitted. The three Happy Tail areas cover small (up to 25lbs), large (25 lbs and over) and a training areas for dogs of any size. A wash area is available at the entrance. Small water fountains provide hydration in several spots. Plenty of free parking. No admission or permit required.

We love this park. It's huge for all big babies running around freely and crazily. Lol We met so many puppy friends, my boy Knuckles had fun

We always visit this park with our dogs when in the area. Park is usually clean and we've met some cool people and dogs. I recommend.

Was the first time here and enjoyed our stay. The other owner are super friendly and felt welcome. It's not that big but possible to enjoy an own space with your dog. Park was super clean and felt save.

Most of the parks in Plantation don't allow dogs; so it's nice to have a park specifically for dogs/dog owners. Parking and the entrance are free and it is very well maintained. There are 4 sections: a small dog area, a training area, an area for service animals, and an area for large dogs. They have multiple gates that dogs/people must go through to ensure that doggies do not escape. They also have several water stations so that your doggie can get water on hot South Florida days, and there are waste pick up bags and disposal stations conveniently located all around the park as well. My dog, Cocoa, is like 50 pounds, so we go to the large dog area. There are always other dogs running around & it's a nice opportunity for dogs to run free & for owners to interact or walk the trails and get some exercise. There are several benches and covered areas if you just want to relax and watch your dog run free as well. Happy Tails is also home to Plantation's Doggiepalooza where there are dozens of dog vendors and hundreds of visitors for a day of everything dog-related. It's a great event and a great way to get info on vets, rescue organizations, and products for your furry friends!

Happy Tails Dog Park is a great place for your playful dog to get out their energy. There are 3 sections for the dogs though most all of the dogs were playing in the medium size dog area. The dogs all seem to be well behaved and just happy to see their doggy friends. The people were pretty well behaved too. Some people work face masks and socially distanced themselves well. The humans also did a pretty good job of watching their dogs and cleaning up after them. There is little seating areas so most everyone just picks a spot and watches their dog while standing. Some humans brought dog toya or a ball to play fetch but the dogs mostly seem to like to play chase and tackle and a whole lot of butt smelling. Parking is ample and the double gate system works well too. The dog park is inside a larger park with a nice walking path and small playground. The best part of going to the dog park with my daughter was that I didn't have to clean pick up dog poop because it wasn't my dog and I don't have a dog! Her dog as well as all of the other dogs were really adorable just watching them play.

By far the best dog park I've been to in south Florida. Always clean and they have friendly dogs. I usually only go in the small area because some people bring big dogs in the medium area which can get dangerous. (I've seen it) there are 3 sections for a reason. If you have a Doberman or a pit bull please don't put it in a cage with 20 pound frenchies...

I had heard about this park for years, but my human wasn't sure of its location. Today the park we normally attend is closed, so one of my human's friends brought us here. This is a really nice park! It's divided into three sections, a small park, a large park and an agility park. There is actuall water fountains for us dogs, nicely kept up agility equipment, and plenty of places for our humans to sit. And lots of picnic tables for me to jump up on and take a knap. I think my favorite part of this park is all the other friendly dogs, and some of the humans. I know it's a bit of a shlep for human to bring me here, but I hope they can take me to this park again. We went for the first time yesterday after hearing about this park for years. Unfortunately, it was super hot so we left after maybe 20 minutes. I like how there are double gates at every entrance so the doggies can't really escape. There were 2 water fountains for the dogs and 1 for humans. There was also a hose at the entrance. There are enough trees for shade, which was nice. We are definitely going back when it is cooler or maybe later in the evening.

Probably the best dog park I have ever experienced, and I've been to many from Florida to Mass; huge, all grass, no dirt, and extremely well maintained with water fountains and a hose. Like any dog park, you can run across an occasional aggressive dog or a stupid owned....... But much less so than other dog parks I've been to.....

A second dog park, Wag Dog Park recently opened in Oakland Park besides Richard E. Giusti Heart Parcours. Bark Park is divided into two sections: one for smaller dogs and another for larger dogs. This division is a great feature to ensure safety for dogs of different sizes and strengths. All of the agility equipment was recently upgraded and there are plenty of benches for owners to sit and watch their dogs, as well as tree shaded areas to relax, especially important during the hot Florida afternoons. The park is also equipped with water stations, dog waste bags, and trash cans, so it's easy to clean up after your pet and stay hydrated during your visit. One thing that stood out to me and that I appreciated is that the grounds are regularly maintained, and there's minimal litter or debris. Oakland Park's commitment to their dog families is evident in the care they take in their dog parks which provide a welcome space for pups to exercise and pet pawrents to socially connect.

I went with my senior rescued dog M-F at 7:30 for 10+ years as I dropped my sons off to school but after a few situations with irresponsible owners (after work crowd,) I felt it wasn't worth the aggravation AND the vet bills!! I decided to give it another chance last week and this morning was 4th successful dog park morning excursion. After 4 good days for a freshman dog park puppy, I decided to give it a thumbs up . He's only 6 months old but a large breed and the current science says to wait until closer to age 2 for large breed males to get neutered so that can present a few issues with OG alpha males but the morning owners are VERY mindful, attentive and responsible and were very welcoming to me and my puppy. I'm not ready to go with both dogs yet as one is a 13 y/o female schipperke/border collie and belongs with the small dogs but hopefully in the near future I'll feel confident enough to bring both.

It was created by the Civilian Conservation Corps. which was part of Roosevelt's New Deal Program that was set up to provide work for Americans who were suffering from the Great Depression. The limestone from the quarry was used for the buildings in the park. Greynold's is one on my favorite parks in Miami. I have been to the west side but this was my first time visiting the east end. The park has a lot of beautiful trees which support the local bird population. As I was walking around I saw a red shouldered hawk swoop down for a meal. Park amenities in this part of the park include a restroom, dog park, and kayak launch. There is a vendor renting kayaks or bring your own. You can paddle up the Oleta River to the intracoastal, north into Dumbfoundling Bay and back to the launch. It is a 6-7 mile loop with nice scenery for most of the paddle. The only thing I dislike about Greynold's park is they charge $7 for parking on weekends. Parks are funded by tax payers so I am used to parking for free. Greynold's started charging for parking over a year ago and I am not sure why North Miami felt they needed to start doing that. Possibly they were trying to be like nearby Oleta River Park which also has kayak rentals and charges a similar fee for entrance to the park.
