We had a lovely Mother's Day brunch at Little Fawn. The menu is pretty small but everything was delicious. The prosciutto benedict and avocado toast were both very tasty. Our server was very friendly and made sure we got everything we needed. Definitely will be back!

We stumbled upon Little Fawn while exploring Oceanside and decided to stop by for a quick cocktail. One of the best espresso martinis we've had. Well balanced, and smokey. The decor is absolutely stunning. Next time we are back in Oceanside, will have to make a resy for dinner.

The service here is wonderful, I came in last night for a glass of wine and even though they were closed they still served me a glass and a second to take to my room after. This morning I came down for breakfast, the server was a happy beam of sunshine. She brought me coffee, and I relaxed for a bit. I then ordered some he steak and eggs. The only complaint I have is that it was a bit on the cold side. Lol everything was a different temperature. I still really enjoyed the flavors and the presentation was beautiful.

We decided to make our first visit to Little Fawn to try a few specific dishes that we'd heard about. The roasted butternut squash and the mussels lived up to the hype - both were amazing. The steak frites was good, but not great. We asked for medium rare, which is important for a hanger steak so it isn't too tough - but received medium well. To be fair, we did not point this out to our server. As a prime cut steak, however, it was still good, especially with the accompanying sauce. But probably not worth what we paid. Finally, we ended with the chocolate mousse. It was tasty but a bit dense, and served with a full sized spoon that seemed way too big for the accompanying cup. A smaller spoon would be better for that dish. All of that said, the service was fantastic and the decor maintains the charm that spot has always been known for. So, we'll be back again and are looking forward to it.

I would say this is a solid place to have dinner and some drinks. They were a little discombobulated... we had reservations and they weren't ready for us! We waited about 15 minutes. No biggie. Once we placed our order, they also let us know that all of our food wouldn't come out at the same time because "that's just how they do it" it's not a tapas bar so not sure why "that's just how they do it" but fair enough thanks for the warning! Overall, our meals were yummy, and I appreciated the fact that they marked gluten-free items on the menu! The ambience is nice. Our waiter didn't ever really check on us, but thankfully, the bus boy who is working his butt off made sure we had everything we needed! Forgot to take photos of all food. For appetizers, we ordered the squash blossoms and the Caesar salad. The Caesar salad is definitely enough for two. The squash blossoms were tiny really only enough for one, but they were! The beef cheek pasta I was told was amazing and my steak and fries were tasty!

Mushroom pappardelle was very good, heard lots of other people ordering it as well. Want to return and try all the fun different drinks!! The ceviche and squash blossoms were also tasty.

My husband and I dined at Little Fawn this evening to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The meal was delicious, and we shared the flavorful Brussels sprouts. I enjoyed the mussels with Italian sausage and fennel--absolutely amazing! My husband loved his Branzino. The server knew it was our anniversary and gave us a complimentary Pistachio Cheesecake. That was a very thoughtful touch.

    Desert and Drinks

Originally stopped by for drinks, but this cheesecake deserves its own shout out. Don't get me wrong, drinks were amassing, but this cheesecake was perfect! I don't recall the name, but it was one of their featured dessert items (It had pistachio, chocolate and raspberry). My boyfriend also enjoyed it, and this speaks volumes because he is not a fan of pastries.

Food was delicious and they still have the Switchboard drink, which is my all time favorite old fashioned in Oceanside. Service is great and the ambiance is intimate yet vibey, perfect for date night.

The owner greeted me and was really kind. I ordered the spicy hummus, gyro wrap, and chicken kebab salad. It was all very flavorful. The tzatziki sauce was like no other and had a familiar taste I couldn't really hone in on what it was. I wish I grabbed more for my gyro because it was a pretty good size and was packed with meat. I've had many gyros in my day and I can say this one was well sized and also well priced for what you get. My wife's chicken kebab salad was also a hit. Not only was her chicken kebab very flavorful with Lebanese spices but the salad dressing it came with was also a very flavorful herby vinaigrette. I noticed there wasn't anybody inside the restaurant but it was also late. I also happened to notice that they had a lot of takeout orders ready to go. That tells me that this place is a real hit and many people come here for the cuisine. All in all, my wife loved the food and we will be returning again. I can see us getting food here more often.

They have real shish kebabs with several protein options, and we went all in on the family platter. Yes, it's a little on the pricier side, but the flavors are absolutely there and it felt worth it. My one suggestion would be to ease up a little on the sauce portions. I'd love to have both hummus and sauce with the platter instead of just one giant bowl of one or the other. The rice and salad were tasty, the pita was fresh, and we'll definitely be back.

My friend and I were served right away and our server had wonderful suggestions. We started out with the shallot dip. Loved the dip itself! I even added it to my rice later on. Everything paired well with the basmati rice as expected. The kabob meals are very large so we only each got through a portion of our meals and we both needed to take some home. So wonderful larger portions overall. Happily filled. Can't wait for our next visit to try out more options!

I ordered a family platter for pickup and everything was fantastic. The chicken kabobs were incredibly flavorful and tender, the grilled onions and tomatoes were a perfect addition, and the gyro meat was outstanding. The platter also came with a fresh salad. My only small disappointment was that it didn't include pita bread, which I typically associate with gyro meat. That said, it may have been something I simply overlooked on the menu... perhaps it can be ordered as a side? The restaurant itself appears quite elegant with plenty of seating, and it was clearly popular, as there was a steady flow of patrons dining in while I picked up my order. The staff were professional and personable. I will absolutely be back!

Each course that came did not disappoint as our palate reached nirvana with each and every bite we took. I ordered the pork schnitzel as my main course while my partner succumbed to his eyes that were drawn to the ingredients of the seabass. Dessert came as a surprise, as we were served not one but two desserts - the latter was an added thoughtfulness, acknowledging my partner's birthday. The taste was divine! The paella was also really good and packed with flavor.
