Just from our phone conversations I felt more at ease, but getting to meet her and the staff in person and see where my daughter would be all day really sold me on this being the right place for her. I won't pretend that the infant program isn't on the expensive side, but I 100% feel like we get what we pay for in terms of care. That alone is enough for my husband and I to justify the cost, but it doesn't hurt that Jennifer and the assistant director Amy are incredibly sweet and friendly and the infant teachers are extremely communicative and hands-on (shout out Ms. Jessica and Ms. Melissa). She really seems to enjoy her time there and I love that she gets to interact with other kids. Also, no bouncers or swings so she's getting lots of that beneficial floor play and tummy time kids her age need. I also really enjoy the app they have. Everyone from the receptionist Mrs. Magaña to the principal Mrs. Taitano acts like they're above you and won't give you -- a paying customer -- the time of day. The receptionist was bilingual and since I also was fluent in Spanish, I chose to speak to her in Spanish. She promptly race-shamed me to insist I only speak in English. I'm an American citizen and I didn't appreciate the rude and racist treatment. However, I tolerated the treatment for the sake of my son. Next, my son missed a few assignments and I hired a tutor to help him get caught up. I asked the teacher, Linda Hayek, for his missed assignments via email and she never responded to me. We later asked again for the assignments, involving the principal and she nastily retorted that I was "making up stories" and that I had not asked for the assignments and not received them. I have an electronic paper trail to prove I did ask the teacher for them. My husband was upset at how they were treating me so he responded to the principal in an assertive but respectful tone and we received the most unprofessional reply from the principal. Rather than supporting our son and helping us create a plan to help him succeed, they kicked him out of the school. At some point during this exchange, they said we could leave and receive a full refund, but after they kicked us out they only refunded us our security deposit and said they would give us the rest "later" (yeah, right...). I insisted they keep their word which was also expressed in written form. These people do not care about children's education. They only care about money and a hypocritical form of piety that was absolutely disgraceful. I am a catholic, but I am ashamed to have served at, donated to, and enrolled my son in a school with such ungodly leadership. This was not a one off case either. My friends enrolled her kids here and also received the same rude stuck up attitudes and lack of support. Stay FAR AWAY!

My family and I are so pleased at his development and his love and affection for his classmates, teachers and staff. Pros: The teaching staff is very friendly, accommodating, and caring. They accept a lot of different financial aid programs, so our children have been able to attend at very affordable rates. My youngest son is with Miss Ashton in room 3 and she's by far the best teacher he's had. She keeps the schedule exciting and diverse, is very upbeat, uses positive reinforcement and validation, has excellent communication with parents, and works with him individually based on his neurodivergent needs. Cons: There is a good amount of staff turnover, and there have been many occasions (with both of my kids) when I have dropped off or picked them up in a different room than their regular room due to staffing/attendance issues. This can cause stress and anxiety for some children, but can be exciting and a learning opportunity for others. My youngest son also went months without a lead teacher due to turnover. Communication from admin is not great. On one occasion our pickup time was extended and nobody informed us for over a year. Questions surrounding certain funding programs have not been answered. Conflicting and confusing information has been given by multiple staff during 2 large scale emergency situations (COVID with my oldest child and a recent flood causing an extended closure with my youngest). During both of these events, we were told by different staff and admin that our children both would and would not be able to attend. In both situations it seemed that staff and admin were not communicating with one another to deliver a cohesive message, nor was a plan being related to the families. One final note is that there are a good amount of children with neurodivergent and extra social/emotional needs. Since my youngest child is in this category it has allowed him to attend without fear of repercussions for his neurodivergence, but these needs also cause stress on the staff and the other children. Overall this center has provided our family with extremely adorable child care that has been (for the most part) reliable. It is nowhere near a small, individual experience for each child, nor does it focus a lot on kindergarten readiness, but it does offer a safe place for children to go while parents are working, and a lot of experience in social skills and structure for children.

Pam's is the perfect place for them to start their school career. She is a loving and caring teacher that not only teaches them academics, but also social skills. My older son was more than prepared for elementary school and is now at the top of his class. I attribute much of his success to the foundation he received at Pam's. She gave him a great start on reading, which was possible because of the one-on-one time she was able to spend with him in this one room school house setting.
