As you might expect, the pandemic has ravaged the town! Many of these unfortunate folks have been my friends and acquaintances and have had their services here. Atmosphere- This is a tiny place next door to a large cemetery. It doesn't look like much from the outside. Sometimes, parking can be a huge challenge! Once you get inside the rooms are beautifully decorated in an understated way. Everything is spotless. Customer Service- Everyone that has touched me has been sensitive to the emotional trauma that visiting here entails. I fervently wish that I would never need to visit here again but sadly, I know that is wishful thinking. Their ability to deal with an emotional and difficult situation is exceptional!

His Weed Wacker needed a new rechargeable battery. He went to his local hardware store. Nope, they didn't have it. Next, he tried his big box store. Nope, not there either. Finally, he tried his everything store. You know, the one that begins with a "W." No luck! He's not much of an internet guy so he came to helpful neighbor Steven B. Yup, that's me. A quick search and this place popped up. A quick call and bingo, they have it! I popped him in my car and off we went. Arriving- These fine folks are on CR 17A West about a minute from US Route 27, so they are very easy to find. As you may guess from their name, their focus is on commercial needs, but they also accommodate residential folks. The parking lot is just fine with easy access. Ambience- Spotless and nicely arranged and once again, focused on commercial stuff. Customer Service- We very easily nabbed a very nice, friendly guy and showed him our dead battery. It took him maybe 90 seconds and boom, we had a new battery in our hands at a price lower than my very thankful neighbor expected! Conclusion- I've driven by these folks hundreds of times never thinking that they might be helpful to fill some residential needs. Now I know better so 5 stars!

Arriving- It's on a main road in teeny tiny Avon Park so your GPS will easily take you there. Signage is awful but parking is easy. Use my picture to assist you. Services- You're visiting because something you own has ripped, torn, become unstitched, stained, or the filling/padding needs replacing. It might even be in your car! You get the idea. Process- It's not rocket science! 1. Bring your problem with you if possible. 2. Explain your wishes. 3. Choose from seemly endless coverings if necessary. 4. Get a quote. 5. Make a decision. 6. Make a down payment. 7. Go home and anticipate perfection! This guy is very speedy. The pictures of chairs I posted are not individual pieces but one of a set and the entire sets were redone. We're talking about two- or three-days turnaround, and I think that's fantastic! Quality- Like new! You'll think you just purchased them from the store. I'm going 4.5 stars but since I can't do that so four. Why not five? The physical location is a little rough around the edges and that might put some folks off. Maybe this review will help!

My dad passed sixteen years ago, and we used these fine folks. My mother was so impressed she also requested them. Prepaid- I handled it for my mom years ago and it was an extremely simple, one appointment process. It's one less thing to worry about at a trying time. Responsiveness- These folks are open 24-7! When I needed them, I called at 2am, that's right 2am and they answered on the second ring. I got the ball rolling in the middle of the night and I was very impressed! Services Planning- As it was prepaid, a great deal of the service had already been decided. They made sure every I was dotted, and every T crossed. The Service- In a word, Perfection! There were three employees standing by the entire time to answer every question and act on any last-minute requests. Several attendees commented on how well it was executed. Although it so easy to procrastinate, as we grow older, taking care of these issues in advance makes it much easier on your loved ones! These fine folks have my highest recommendation!

They enabled women a way to get involved in politics and they launched the women's rights movement. The Lake Placid Women's Club was founded in 1928 by a group of civic minded women who wanted to help Lake Placid. In 1948 they became part of the prestigious national organization of women's clubs called the General Federation of Women's Clubs. On Jan. 16, 1932, the Lake Placid Memorial Library was opened at the Arcade Hotel by the Women's Club. In 1948, the library was moved to the Women's Club Building. The GFWC Lake Placid Woman's Club still supports literacy through its Education and Libraries Community Service Projects. They are dedicated to community improvement and enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. I met some of the lovely ladies from the Women's Club during the Caladium Festival where they sell bus tickets for $18 to tour the caladium farms. They have other fundraisers throughout the year to support their other charitable endeavors like providing scholarships. Arriving- Simple to find as it's in a little plaza on US Route 27 South at the intersection of Route 17. Acres of easy parking. Ambience- This is a brand-new facility, so everything is spotless and in working order. Nice offices to sit down in and work out the details. The spaces with the rental units are similarly spotless. Security looked good. Climate controlled units. Pro Tip- You need to supply proof that your Homeowners/Condo/Apartment insurance will cover your stuff, or they have an insurance company you can use. Cost- My friend reserved a 9.5 X 10 unit for $132 monthly. Note that you can pay month-to-month here. Moving In- The process worked as advertised with no bumps in the road. Moving Out- That process is in the future. Customer Service- Nice folks and no problems! Moving can be really stressful. You don't need anyone or anything to add to that stress. These folks were stress free so I'm going four stars.
