This place is so unorganized as the seller. I had to follow up with them 3 times as they said all my items either sold or were donated .... Even though they were still on their online portal to be sold. Out of 100 plus items they sent us a check for $300. These included Indian blankets, Victorian opera glasses, jewelry, furniture, and antique collectibles from all over the world as my grandparents were world travelers. it never sat right with me that they could not give me an itemized list of what was sold and what it was sold for. So I thought I should share my experience. The staff also seemed hectic, unhappy, and always referred me to the owner, even though he was only interested in our coins. I have been bringing stuff to Upland Auction for about 4 years. They always greet me with a smile and are such nice people. Their processing time is quick and their staff is always going above and beyond to help. I have been impressed by how resilient and creative they are at pivoting during this pandemic to continue to serve their clients. I love watching their online auctions, too. Their auctioneer is so entertaining. They have many everyday items, but also such unique furniture and finds. This place is horrendous. They are dishonest and will take any opportunity to sell you short and not pay you for your items you had sold there! Don't trust their business. They take no accountability for their actions and bully you with their aggressive demeanor when you ask for your money. Not to mention they sale your items cheap to their family members "overseas" if you have a high priced item so they pay you out in Pennie's then turn around weeks later and auction it at a higher price for their own profit. That is completely dishonest and a disservice to their patrons enlisting in their services. Definitely seems like a money laundering site in disguise of an auction place in our beautiful city of upland! read more

I bought a few things too- which were fairly priced. When I went to pick them up I noticed everyone is working really hard to please the buyers who are picking up their items. I was not happy with the price for shipping so I left a poor review on google. After leaving that review I was "refunded" my shipping amount and told that I have to make my own shipping arrangements or else my items would be taken. I didn't choose the overpriced shipping or to cancel it once I had paid for it. My biggest complaint with this auction house is the lack of communication with the customer. I purchase 20 silk ties and 10 necklace lockets no bigger than a dime. Not sure what made the shipping $40 but some clarification would have been nice. Still have yet to receive the money they claimed was refunded and now have to sit on the phone to find a shipping company that can pick it up within 48 hours. Very disappointed as every other auction house I have done business with has been very communicative and understanding. read more

This is my personal experience and personal opinion with using this company for the first time ever. I will only state the facts of my own situation and this company or south coast auctions their main ownership. Once again this is my opinion and personal account of this company and how they treated myself and my mother's antiques and personal estate sale effects. First off they say as seen they take 40 percent commission on their website when they take 45 percent of they pick up your items. I had to load the items myself for they had one lady Annette who could not spell or even know how to find an address or be on time rummage through items I was not selling as her 125lb helper could not even lift anything into the repainted Ryder rental truck. No straps or the downs and I loaded it myself as she invaded my private space with zero respect. I had to load the truck not them! The money they brought in for the items was one tenth of that of what a yard sale would bring in and who knows the facts for the numbers they claim seen all the same and congruent with no account of who bought the items or if they just take them to their own thrift shops? They can not spell, read a clock, write a proper check or invoice items correctly. I personally wish there was less then a star to give in my opinion and I was a moron for not researching the true owners background and name on yelp before dealing with what seemed to be drugged out tweakers. These are my personal opinions and I will never do business or respect a Souless one of them. Over one hundred items sold of antique hardwood glassware, crystal, guitar and case which were all original owners with tags. Donate your stuff for you will make someone's life better and won't have to deal with these sorts of ghetto liars ever. I would not be able to sleep at night with that guilt but, I have a feeling from the head if behavior and conduct they are up all night as it is. They certainly are not taking spelling or business classes. This is my personal experience and my own opinion... Images attached. I love going to the Upland Antique Auction on Sundays it starts at three and ends when all the antiques are gone. Some fascinating objects come up at this huge auction warehouse. The father-son business has some of the nicest people in the industry. Friendly, service-oriented, always take the time to talk with you about an object or whatever you are interested in buying. Initially super-cheap prices when they were lesser known. Now prices are moderate to high, depending upon the buyers, some of whom don't seem to know the difference between auction and retail prices. But some bargains are still to be had, so check it out a couple times a month as they generally have two auctions per month. Keep in mind that the preview page on the website can handle just a fraction of what they have for sale so walking through the warehouse is best. read more

Our first time at the auction. Good set up. Nice variety. Some really nice pieces e.g.: armoires, buffets, chairs, crystal, lamps. Bummer though, I won the bid on a wood plant stand and 1 of the 3 legs is broken; best not bid on a whim. We'll still be back. Love this auction house! Guys are always super friendly & accommodating when loading your stuff. Make sure you check stuff out before bidding, because many things are old, used, maybe even damaged. It's sold as is! So don't cry and complain if you didn't check it out and you discover damage after you've bought it. Great deals here and great people! read more

Mind boggling and possible unethical practices, this auction was amazing when it was run by Ray and Chris and others, it was taken over by Ali and Karima. I am an avid sports card collector. I had consigned over 300 boxes of cards of sport's cards, keep in mind I know what is in each box, they were all 80s and 90s and I had to clear out my inventory and needed college books. I consigned them to Upland Auction - everything was loaded and then I got a text from Ali saying there was mysterious bidder and $750 was the price, keep in mind this is a live auction where you actually get to see your auction bid on - it was also Christmas time and I was feeling charitable, Ali texted me and said he had an expert come look and trust me from the looks of the place I can tell I am the better expert at their stuff than they are but sure lets run the auction, imagine that if it sold for $500 - I want to see the paper work, then latter on I consigned 3 cards all in super lockdown hard cases with full descriptions, it does not sell so I went to pick up my items 3 times, this time Karima the wife tells me its somewhere around here come back and pick it up, no problem, I also bid on an item so I went again to pick up my items and check on my card to pick up, nothing its gone. I have since sold the cards to an outside buyer since it die not sell at UPLAND AUCTION and then Karima tells me it sold and they paid me - keep in mind every auction is done on Facebook so there should be video right, show me the video, she said I got paid show me the original bill of sale and the amount it was sold for, nothing. Hey if you want your items oversold by Upland Auction and you got one pf those mystery texts - PS I HAVE EVERY TEXT FROM ALI AND KARIMA , I WILL BE CREATING A FACEBOOK AND POST ALL THE TEXTS. Do not do business with this company, there is something drastically wrong and they sell your items and say its lost and possibly keep the money because they sure as heck wont show you any receipts - it seems very unethical I sent nice messages not being upset, just asking to see paperwork on my items and was denied so I am out of $800 and the card they say I picked up which they possibly sold and claimed I lost plus who knows what your items sells for since Ali said -- according to his soon to be available text he has a buyer ready and then the price goes off way different than what your expecting, the auction looks staged, they bid on their own items to raise the prices up, each auction is videotaped and sold on facebook and you can see them bid on their items to drive prices up...ask questions people, if you want to see any specific screen shots of our conversation please ask.
