Some places are just so good they become your go to place when returning to a town you have since moved away from! Last night was one of those times! Its been a few years since I last ate at Little Fu's but I was happy to see that everything pretty much stayed the same! I love the ambiance!! Not a fancy restaurant and it doesn't have to be! But, you look around and the decor is perfect, authentic, and sets the mood for a great Chinese dinner! The menu is extensive offering Chinese, Vegetarian and Japanese dishes. Its huge, not really a menu, more like a book! The service is always friendly, attentive and accomodating. Our waitress came back to our table several times to ask if there anything else we needed! I was with my husband and it was getting late so we ordered simple and split all! Fried Dumplings and Boneless Spare Ribs appetizers, Rice Wine Shrimp for the main dish! NOTE - The menu lists this dish under Chefs Specialties as Rice Wine Chicken! They will prepare it with Shrimp but you have to ask as Rice Wine Shrimp is not on the menu! Dumplings - probably the best you'll ever have. Big, completely filled with a very flavorful meat, and perfectly fried. Boneless Spare Ribs - delicious, cooked perfectly and flavorful. Pretty large portion and none left! Need I say more?? Rice Wine Shrimp - very flavorful and served with jumbo Shrimp! You can choose whatever vegetables you would like included. You may not think this goes with the dish but get them anyway, trust me, it does! Onions!!!! Also ask for extra sauce! I was a regular at Little Fu's when I lived in the area! The food is so incredibly fresh and flavorful! I tried many other Chinese restaurants throughout the years but Little Fu's I will always return to when I'm in the area, it's that good! read more

Most of the Chinese food at home sucks, I've been waiting a long time to travel to NY to have good Chinese food. I was not disappointed! We started with fried wonton noodles, not tiny little strips but huge pieces served with duck sauce and hot mustad. They were so good we ate four bowls of them. I started out with vegetable hot and sour soup and eggroll. The soup was good, but the eggroll was fantastic. It was hot and stayed hot down to the last bite, it was very nicely stuffed and very tasty. The one thing that brought us here is they have a large number of vegan options. My wife was very happy she ordered vegan chicken (satan) with broccoli, peppers and onions. She said it was awesome! She also had a cup of vegan siyp, spinach wonton, also excellent. My daughter had a boring meal. Beef fried rice and egg drop soup. She must have liked it, she ate everything. And as for me, I had spicy chicken with peanuts and hot peppers. Although the peppers them self were not really hot, everything thing else was. I had them bring me so extra hot chili sauce to kick it up a bit more. Sad! Little Fu's just gave up trying to prepare good vegetarian food. They used to prepare the vegetarian meals with the same care they did the rest of the menu. Now they use different (not as tasty) fake meat where its clear they open a can, pour on sauce warm and serve. We have been going to this restaurant for many years through 3 name changes... the last change came with lower quality. The vegetarian chicken is no longer battered, just sauced. The vegetarian duck is a different product and served cold straight from the from the can with no sauce. It used to be delicious tofu skin lightly fried with a light sauce now it's gluten that just dry and cold on top of lettuce. It's really too bad. The service is excellent but the vegetarian food is just plain not worth the money anymore. My family will visit one more time to make sure. read more

I've been dying to order vegetarian food from here and today was the day. Delivery was quicker than expected so that was a plus. Driver also read my notes for contact-less pickup. Very large portions for the price. Scallion pancakes were yummy. A bit greasy but still delicious. Vegetarian duck appetizer was not what I was expecting, but it was so yummy! It tasted like the inside of what is in a typical "chicken lettuce wrap." Moist and shreddy meat-like texture. Yum! The spinach wonton soup was AMAZING. Since I stopped eating meat, I don't think I've had wonton soup in 8+ years. The wontons were huge (3 in a pint) and the broth was so satisfying without being overly salty. Vegetarian General Tso chicken was just okay. Definitely not bad, but I chose "mildly spicy" and there was no spice at all. Next time I will try the hot and spicy choice instead. The seitan chunks are definitely meaty but a little bit spongey and not as crispy on the outside as I'd like. Overall it hit the spot for my chinese food craving! Will be ordering again! read more

I have to say that I LOVE Chinese food...I just find it hard to find good Chinese food. (I live in Florida). So when my aunt asked if we would like to go for Chinese food, I jumped at the opportunity. Food: They start you off with giant noodles. They were nice and fresh and didn't leave they bluchy oily feeling in your mouth. It was served with the duck sauce and Chinese mustard. My uncle told me they have a house spicy mustard but it was way too spicy for him. The three adults, all who eat vegan, had the spinach wonton soup. I was super excited because typically the broth is chicken based, but nope it was VEGGIE based! It was delicious. The wonton just had fresh spinach inside and the broth had scallions. So good! It has been over 2 years since I had wonton soup and I loved it! My daughter had the egg drop soup. She devoured it. My daughter had the chicken fried rice. She said it was very good. My aunt, uncle and I shared the buddah's delight (a mix of every kind of veggie in a garlic sauce, the vegetable moo shoo and the "chicken" and broccoli. My favorites were the "chicken" & broccoli and the moo shoo. I had never had seitan before and it was actually much better than I expected! The texture was not mushy and it was very tasty. The broccoli was cooked perfectly. We ended the meal with oranges and a scoop of chocolate ice cream for my daughter. Service: service was okay. They seemed friendly, but there was a slight language barrier between us. The take out business is extremely busy, so that seems to delay the table service a little bit. Very quick service for take out orders. Their vegan food has very good options. I especially like the vegan orange chicken.

Sometimes going back home again is not a good thing. That might be the case at Little Fu's. We'd been going here since it was named U Ate 2 Much. It had a vegetarian pepper steak that was out of this world. Then the pandemic hit. This is our first visit post pandemic. The restaurant was empty ON A SATURDAY NIGHT!!! The staff was cordial but the scallion pancakes were thick & like bricks and the veggie chicken nuggets were not up to the standard set by Vegetarian Palate in Brooklyn. The pepper steak was missing something. It wasn't as delicious as we remembered. The whole experience felt more like a closing of a business. Little Fu's is a gem in Hewlett. I always order delivery from this location and the food is always super yummy and arrives early and hot. The rolls are a nice size and they are very generous with the ginger sauce on the salad so I recommend getting the sauce on the side. The prices are also pretty good. I recommend the fried rice, literally any sushi rolls, and Ofcourse the Shumai. read more

This was my first and last time eating from this place. I ordered delivery of almost 20 dollars worth of food and they did not give me a fork or a spoon. I called them to let them know the lady rudely told me "oh you have to let us know you want a fork and spoon because after lunch hours we don't include a fork or spoon with your order".......yes you read correctly. I had to leave my job and walk to a convenience store to get something to eat their food with. I used to come to this place about once a month when it was called U 8 2 Much. The old name was pretty hilarious but I guess they realized it may turn some people off. Either way, the restaurant, decor, menu and food is still the same. I came here with my family and we all ordered different things. Some specials, some sushi, spare ribs and soups. The food is always plentiful and the service is very friendly. My sushi rolls were very large and tasty. Sometimes I worry when sushi rolls are packed that the quality of fish isn't there, but I couldn't tell either way. I didn't get sick so I'm happy about that. I also ate a bunch of spare ribs which were seasoned well. We all got fortune cookies and orange slices at the end of our meal. I'm sure I'll be back here with my family. read more

We've been coming to this restaurant for over ten years. Each time, we bring our girls after school and order both appetizers and several entrees. Today my Husband and I decided to simply stop in for a few bowls of soup. The waitress left the menus on the table and came back after serving the soup to take our orders. When we said we had just come for a few bowls of soup, she rolled her eyes, rushed to pick up the menus and started talking about us in Chinese. On the inside however, there's a beautiful fish tank, and a entire wall laden with all sorts of flowers, succulents and other foliage. The food was tasty too! I order through Grubhub from Little Fu's between 2-4 times a week for years. The food has changed for the worse, skimp on meat, very salty, and soup tastes like mop water. Today I ordered and the driver told me that I need to give him $2.00 more because it's too far. He went on to say, all drivers need $2.00 more. I'm in Cedarhurst, a 7 minute drive from the store. I called Little Fu's because that's ridiculous and they had no idea what I was talking about. I tip and I'm sure there are plenty who do not. The best Chinese takeout I have had in a long long time. This also comes with some of the highest prices I have seen for takeout but it was worth the few extra bucks! We ordered a bunch of stuff including crabmeat Rangoon which were solid. GREAT egg rolls. Which I feel is an underrated part of every Chinese food place, it's a good measuring stick to have a solid egg roll, this one was great. I had egg drop wonton combo soup, was very good. The Combination plate 4 which was pork in a garlicky brown sauce and peppers. It was awesome. The rice was great. I ordered it hot and spicy and it was barely mild so if you are looking for a little kick then make sure to add some of their excellent chipotle mayo! The crispy sesame beef was soooo good too. Ordered from the Lunch special menu. Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, wonton egg drop soup and fried rice, I opted for roast pork fried rice for the additional $1. The servers bring over the traditional fried broad noodles with duck sauce, mustard and hot tea, which is complimentary. If you've been looking for a local Chinese spot that serves fresh homemade duck sauce and the large fried wontons for no extra charge this is the place. I was surprised to get this little treat. Ive been going here for over 10 years and the quality remains consistently good. It's not fancy but they do have a large sitting area and the service is good. Recently we have been trying to be vegetarian and the vegetarian menu has been a lifesaver. Many of the tofu and pseudo-meat dishes would be more expensive at a health food store and as far as I know, Little Fus is the only place that offers these options locally. Sushi is always good, especially with soy paper and no rice (which they will accommodate). Also, delivery is SO fast! I ordered 12 different dishes and there were zero mistakes. read more

I have eaten here for years. Even before this location. On Mother's Day I had a meal that reminded me of the 90's. before I finished my meal I had a booming headache and started to feel exhausted. As we left my wife wanted to go to Rita's for desert. I had to take a twenty minute nap in the car as the headache was getting progressively worst. My wife woke me up to see if I was ok and I wasn't but I bought some Rita's for her and I limped/drove home. I can't believe that they are serving food with MSG in it in 2017. I never write bad reviews because everyone can have a not so good day and if you didn't poison me I will give you a pass. I know when there is MSG in something I eat. Have not felt this bad in a very long time. My last trip to this place. I am adding to my review because since 3:00 pm on Monday, which is less than 24 hours since our meal, my wife has been throwing up and is now in the ER.
