The food is good, the service was good to until today. As I walked in the lady walked away as if she didn't want to take my order, the guy ignored and just continued being on his phone. The lady came back and took my order as if she didn't want to. When I was given my order the guy practically was rushing me off without letting me speak. My boyfriend and I had an egg roll and wanton soup and he had no problems but as I sipped on my soup, I found a roach inside and immediately spat out my food and felt grossed out, wanted to vomit. I ordered on Uber eats and I am so disappointed and repulsed. My chicken and broccoli was under cooked. My fried rice had a long black hair in it, which I had to just throw out. My sesame chicken combination was supposed to come with an egg roll and they forgot to include it with my order. I asked for utensils and they didn't give any. I also always give my dog my fortune cookies whenever I get Chinese takeout, however that was missing from the bag too. The homemade ice tea was terrible, not sweet like it should be. One more thing to add is that the containers were dirty with little specks of black dots and fuzz. Now listen, another review brings up a valid point that the place looks a mess... but that is why I order by phone, so I don't have to see the mess. This place is in no worse condition than any of the great restaurants you find in Chinatown. As for the food... they have some of the best dumplings and ribs around. I am not a fan of the way they make their Sesame Chicken (very thick breading) but everything else we have ever had from Wah Sang is great. The noodle dishes are VERY tasty, I prefer the Chow Fun. Prices are on par. Delivery is fast and reliable, even in heavy snow. And the portions are a nice size. This is the best American-Chinese Take-Out I have found in the area. The food is prepared fresh and expertly; dishes are not overly greasy and portions are plentiful at a decent price. Some highlights: - Steamed dumplings (also amazing fried) are large and meaty with a generous pork filling and a tasty, salty dipping sauce - Shrimp roll -- an egg roll, but with shrimp; this is no skimpy veggie roll or shrimp toast. It's the real deal! - Empire Chicken -- large, spicy chunks of chicken with celery (may sound strange, but it's an amazing combination) - Any dish made extra spicy or Hunan Style (especially the noodle dishes, like the Chicken Chow Ho Fun -- broad noodles) Delivery is FAST and it's a lovely family business -- I went to high school with two of the employees and watched their little brother grow up to take care of deliveries. Since they're right by the LIRR Station, you can call your order in from the train, tell them when you expect to arrive, and your food will be hot and ready for pickup. As of this moment Wah Sang Kitchen is my favorite Chinese take-out place on Long Island. With a great lunch special and decent prices, you can't go wrong here. I'm a huge fan of their general tsao chicken meal, and unlike many chines places I've been too, the chicken has a nice texture to it with a sauce to give it a decent kick. Sometimes their meat can be a little overly chewy but then again most of these places aren't perfect. Great lo-mein, fried rice, and dumplings that are hard to top! I'm a big fan of their pecan chicken dish as well. The portions for all their menu items are more than enough to leave you stuffed and possibly have some leftovers the next day. I only take the star off because it isn't the nicest looking establishment and they tend to be a little slow when it comes to preparing an order but I really do love their food and will continue exploring their mouth watering menu. read more

Wah-Sang Kitchen has become my go-to for Chinese food. The food tastes better than any other Chinese restaurant in the area. The service is always courteous, delivery is quick, their dishes are reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. While the best items on their menu are the Steamed Dumplings, Spring Rolls, and General Tso's chicken, I have yet to try a dish that I would consider anything less than decent. 3.75 stars Saw the great reviews on Yelp.. I'm still looking for some great Chinese food without having to go all the way to Flushing or Elmhurst. This is still a Chinese fast food which my non-Chinese family loves, it's acceptable for me, but obviously I'd prefer authenticity. Oh well. We ordered a decent amount of food to try. The large boneless ribs are pretty meaty tasting, very lean so a bit dry for me. I'd rather have some Chinese roast pork, but I didn't have a menu at the time. I put them in a nice chicken broth with some organic soba noodles and the flavor of the meat was much sweeter. The General Tso's chicken comes in a generous portion, manages to stay crispy and it's not overly sauced. We also bought some lunch specials that all came with wonton soup. It's not real wonton soup, no where close to what you would get in Flushing, but perfectly fine for ...non-Chinese. The pork fried rice had a decent flavor, but not enough, perhaps a lil too much soy sauce since it was darker in color than what I'm used to seeing. L liked his chicken in garlic sauce, comes with fresh veggies, all very crispy. C liked his boneless ribs though he's used to it being sweeter and covered in a lil sauce. Others liked the chicken wings which I didn't try. The people working there are very nice...I wasn't there myself, but I was listening on the phone when they went over to pick up the food. They don't use MSG which is a plus. I don't eat Chinese food often, but when I do, I really crave beef chow fun or some dim sum. Flavors you can only get at an authentic Chinese restaurant. The proprietess Amy is very sweet and her son is adorable (she had him hard at work practicing his writing labeling containers). The veggies are fresh, they listen to your requests when you order, they give free soda's all around very delicious. I have now visited Wah Sang kitchen at least 5 different occasions. The food is for the most part better than average. Just a little inconsistent The pork fried rice is always fresh, but on the bland side. Which i can live with. The vegetables are always fresh. Thank you, for that. :) The chicken (Chicken with garlic sauce) was a bit overcooked. My only major problem is that the one time i visited them early in the day (11am, they open @ 10:30am). Everything i ordered was definitely not up to par. Now on the plus side. Everyone at this business is Super friendly, and will welcome you with a smile! I would recommend them. The best Chinese food in Long Island. Point. Blank. Period. Food is always fresh. Fried foods aren't greasy. TRY THE FRIED JUMBO SHRIMP, It's their secret weapon. The Boneless Spare Ribs are delicious and are all MEATY, unlike EVERYWHERE else you get a bunch of nasty fatty pieces. The General Tso's chicken recipe was handed down from General Tso himself. It's that good. And if you feel like getting ratchet, the chicken wings and fries are better than some chicken joints. Seriously everything on their menu that I've tried is delicious. They're extremely polite and friendly. You never have to ask for extra soy sauce packets, they're not stingy. ONE DOWNSIDE: they're cash only. My taste test is always the General Tso's chicken and Wah Sang's is pretty darn good! They don't give a lot of sauce so I normally request extra sauce.
