I HAD to come get a bag of the Lighthouse Keepers blend after trying it during my stay at the Point Arena Lighthouse. I am incredibly impressed with this cute little storefront in the middle of Point Arena's Downtown. The barista was very knowledgeable and helpful when I was asking random questions about their coffee & business. There are so many varieties of aritisanal beans that they roast and they also make their own chocolate for purchase. Definitely one of the best mochas I've had EVER - it was just so smooth and not overly sweet or bitter. I would definitely drive all the way back just to get their chocolate & coffee again. Came here for a Mocha Latte. No espresso machine, made using a Melita pour over filter system. Very weak taste and watery. I think bakers chocolate (no sugar?) was used, no taste. Very disappointing . read more

Great and straightforward coffee shop in Point Arena. Locally roasted beans. They have both premade coffee along with pour over and French press available. Compostable cups to go and silverware that they wash to mix in cream or sweetener versus throwing away more items to use just once in stirring coffee. Fair prices and they don't open until 9 AM so surely not an early bird spot but one can wait when enjoying Point Arena for them to open. read more

What a treasure! So many amazing kinds of coffee to choose from, all roasted by the owner on-site. Makes the town smell so good. They have pour overs, cold brews, and drip ready to go. He also roasts cocoa beans and they make delicious chocolates and hot cocoa. If you like coffee or chocolate you must stop here. They do have tea too. A shining example of local third wave coffee. About of the small retail space is dedicated to the bean roasting operation. The front is dedicated to preparing and serving excellent coffee for walk-in patrons. And oh are the pour-overs excellent! Yum. The roaster-proprieter's mother prepared the coffees for us. I order their coffee and it is so worth it. Seriously this is the best roasted whole bean coffee I've ever had. I've tried all their flavors and although I usually prefer a dark roasted coffee, I can't tell u there is one favorite flavor. The coffee beans r just so fresh and roasted so perfectly u cannot make a bad cup of coffee. My advice is definitely try all of the flavors, including the blends. read more

Point Arena just became a must stop for me. I was already a fan of a local bakery, but after today's stop at the Little Green Bean Roastery, I will make it a regular stop on any trip up or down the North coast. Why? The best cup of coffee served-up by Tom Neth! Tom slow roasts premium coffee beans (sourced from around the world) in small batches using a Diedrich IR (infrared) roaster. He then prepares your coffee one cup at a time with methodical care. Today, he was using a pour over method (he mentioned that he also does French press) and the results were terrific! I tried the Mexico Organic Oaxaca La Lagunilla (described as "caramel, chocolate, thick body") & the Honduras Capucas Organic Fair Trade (described as "caramel, chocolate, hazelnut, buttery"). They were both perfect, bold and absent of any of the unpleasant flavors that  can be present in coffee that is not properly prepared. There is some serious chemistry going on here and Tom obviously knows his stuff! Bookmark this place now and be sure to stop in...it's a hidden gem! read more

Great third wave specialty coffee freshly roasted at an insanely good price. Came in here on vacation to try a local coffee shop.
