Worth the windy labyrinth drive to get to. A hidden gem in Marblehead. The lobster roll was butterlicious - large tender lobster pieces in a crunchy, buttery roll. Mmm mmmm good! Call ahead of time to check in to see what they have in stock since they sell out of stuff fast (like swordfish and oysters). I also ordered salmon from their seafood market. My girlfriend and I are from out of town and found this nice little spot for lobster rolls. The man that greeted us and took our order was very welcoming and informative. He gave recommendations and was super friendly. We got both styles of lobster rolls, one with butter and the other traditional with mayonnaise. Paired nicely with a couple of recommended beers. Best Lobster Roll anywhere! Generous 1/3 of a pound on a specially made brioche. Delicious! We topped off with a few cocktail shrimp that were the freshest ever. When you pull up to the location, you can see the ocean and stacks of lobster traps. Truthfully, the food here is a hit or miss. Sometimes the lobster rolls taste too fishy. Authentic seafood harbor shop, with one of the best lobster rolls around. No seating inside, but we were able to walk up and order for takeout. A picnic table on the water provided a wonderful setting for our lunch. While we were eating, a local fishing boat motored up and delivered some fresh Lobster to the store. The lady helping us today was so sweet and accommodating by asking us exactly how we wanted our rolls prepared, since it's all made to order. We decided to sit outside in wooden chairs that were positioned to view the bay, due to it being such a gorgeous fall day with a cool breeze; perfect. The issue is the pricing. $25 for a to go lobster roll in a paper bag with a few chips. You can pay less than that at multiple sit-down restaurants just down the road (or other prepared food spots in town).The lobster roll was fine, good amount of lobster on a hot dog bun, but you have to have no sense of value to walk away satisfied.
