I've heard raving reviews about Little India, and it has been on my list for a long time. I received a gift card and it was the final push. I needed to try little India. When we walked in the ambiance was inviting and the smelled amazing. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The menu is extensive, so it was hard to choose! I love all food, but I was most excited to try their chicken tikka masala and the "butter chicken." we also ordered several things of garlic naan so we could dip to our hearts content. I will definitely be returning and I will definitely branch out! 10/10 recommend !!

Lamb Boti Masala Pineapple Chicken

Ambiance, Service, Food -- this place has it all The hand painted murals on all the wall make for a fun environment when eating. Service was prompt and the food was on your table before you know it. The mango Lassi was indeed one of the best I've had. Not too sweet which is how it should be made but with all the rich Mango flavor. Delicious! The Vegetable Pakari appetizer was delicious, one of the favorites of the night. The Lamb Boti Massala was probably my favorite. A very rich sauce with very tender lamb. The combo of spices on this dish really made this dish stand out from other Massalas I've had before, pure magic The downsides were the Garlic Naan, it tasted more like a tortilla then I expected and the garlic was sprinkled on top instead of being baked into it. The other small critique was the chunks of pineapple in the Pineapple chicken were pretty large and you had to cut it or just take a single bite of pineapple which wasn't ideal. But small critiques for an amazing meal. Best Indian food/service/ambience I've had in Utah as of yet!

Butter Chicken Makhani(Butter Chicken)

Really enjoyed the food here and I like that they offer a gf "naan" option. The curries are flavorful and tasty and the portions are good for the price. The rice is also so good! I recommend the butter chicken and lamb nori masala (if you like it more tangy) but the chicken tandoori was less impressive. Overall good service and food came quick because we went at a less busy time.

I have been wanting to try this place ever since I saw it made Yelp's list of the Top 100 US restaurants for 2024. We went to the restaurant at dinnertime on a Saturday, so there was a bit of a wait, but since our party wasn't large, it wasn't too bad. I do agree with some other reviewers -- I feel like the waiting area isn't large enough for the crowds. They also didn't take our number (just a name for the party) so if we weren't paying attention, we might not have known our table was ready. Once we got seated, the service was pretty quick! The good thing about having a bit of a wait is being able to look at the menu before you're seated. We ended up getting the chicken tikka masala, Rogan Josh, and garlic naan. The naan wasn't included with the entrees, and it was also a little salty because of how much garlic powder was on it. The size of dishes is deceptive, but in a good way -- there was a lot more food than we were expecting! Overall, the restaurant was cute inside, it wasn't too noisy, and the experience was enjoyable. I took off a star because I feel like the waiting area/experience could be a little streamlined, but other than that no major issues!! I'm excited to go back and try new dishes!

Raw Chicken

The Ambiance was good, i think it genuinely looks great and its nice and all. Their diet coke was flat, which I never had seen before from a restaurant or any fast food place, not to mention when I ordered their Chicken Coconut Korma, it came out and seemed a little chewy and check to see it was still pink, and one of the thicker slabs were almost completely raw. Never experienced something from this place as I had been there multiple times in the past and enjoyed it.

From my perspective food was fresh and tasted good. I really enjoyed the butter chicken. Though, from my friends who are Indian they were not impressed and sad. They really looked forward to some local food for them and were met with disappointment as this was commercialized and not authentic Indian cuisine. Service was ok. We had to ask a lot for them to replace waters, give utensils, and for napkins but it was very busy. Not overly friendly either but what place is in Utah eating?

This place was fantastic! The food was way better than I expected. I got the butter chicken, chai tea, and peshawari naan. The only thing I didn't LOVE was the chai but it was still good! The service was 4/5 and the ambiance was average but overall the food overtook!

Chicken Coconut Kurma

Well it lived up to the hype. I saw this place on the Yelp top 100 list and knew I needed to try it! It is always so crowded, but I hear they will soon have a location in Highland, so that will be great! The Chicken coconut kurma was amazing. I don't even know what magic they use to get the chicken that tender. Such good flavor and texture. My mom warned me that "mild" is too mild and the "medium" was good even for a person like me who always orders mild. We ordered takeout to beat the crowds and it worked out great!

So excited they will be opening their Highland location soon, they need it. This place is always packed on Friday and Saturday nights - sometimes an hour wait for two! We ordered takeout with friends a month ago and then again on Saturday. It's a breeze! The food is always ready on time, hot, and the orders have always been correct. Their tikka masala is so good. The medium spice is perfect and I just love how much flavor there is. Unfortunately, their naan has been lacking for the last few months and has changed from when they first opened. It's so thin, like a tortilla, and doesn't taste as good. Trader Joe's frozen naan is better! Overall, a must try. Even order to go and beat the line!

An enjoyable experience. The servers were attentive and quick. Food was ready quickly delivered as well. And It was delicious. We ordered Lamb, Butter chicken, and Paneer Masala. We also ordered lots of naan. In terms of the food it was very good. My only complaint was the smell inside the restaurant. It smelled bad. Not like food-bad. Like dirty carpet bad. It smelled like old furniture bad. Musty. Sour. Dusty. I don't k ow exactly how to describe it, but the smell was a deterrent. I won't eat inside there again. Take out will be all I'll do. In my opinion, a restaurant should smell incredible not gross. 4 out of 5 stars easily.

Chicken tikka and saag paneer
Lindsey H.

We were excited to try this restaurant after hearing such amazing things and it was very good. Delicious food and deceivingly large portions- we tried the veg pakora, kofta, saag paneer, baygan bharta and the chicken tikka masala. All were wonderful! We ordered everything medium and it was quite spicy- if ordered again I would get mild. The best thing was weirdly enough the rice- absolutely incredible Living in SLC I don't think I will drive to American Fork again to go there, but I am glad we went. We went on a Friday night and were told it was a 50 minute wait but waited over an hour.

Mango Lassi
Bekah C.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think American Fork, Utah would be serving up some of the best Indian cuisine in the state. When we arrived, the lobby was packed with 10+ groups waiting to be seated. I was shocked to see this on a Monday night. (Turns out this place was on Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat. Who knew!) Despite the crowds, we were still quoted a 20 minute wait... and to my surprise, we were seated 10 minutes later. I couldn't believe it! We ordered Mango Lassis, Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Naan. After my first bite I knew this place deserved its spot on the Top 100 list. The MOST flavorful Indian food I've had in a very very long time. Every bite was equally fresh and delicious. We joked about how excited we were to have leftovers. Is Little India worth the hype? 100%. And despite the busy lobby, we never felt rushed, we received top quality service, and the restaurant was very clean and spacious.

My family loves the Vegetable Samosas with the Mint Chutney as well. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the owner was a pleasure as he walls around and chatted with everyone. He wanted to make sure we were eating our Naan first while it was hot, and then focus on the rice afterwards. (Advice that changed my life, I was always a rice first sort of guy). The tables didn't feel too tight, it definitely gets loud with the dinner rush but nothing more than you would expect. Such an awesome place with great flavor! I loved reviewing restaurants in Logan, but there's only so much up there... now that we've moved to Utah County I'm excited to get back into the food scene! All that to say excuse my lack of pictures, I'm a little rusty haha. But trust me when I say this was awesome food!!

The new interior refresh is nice, modern, and inviting...and a pleasant departure from the typical Indian restaurant... Although I think some modern cultural artwork, paintings, and decorations would be very fitting as an add-on to the Jalwa restaurant. Our waiter was very pleasant (although he spoke in hushed tones...and it was difficult to hear him.) He also got a little confused as to what we were looking for with respect to just wanting the papadums with chutney (which is a standard appetizer at most Indian restaurants that we've patronized,) but instead we got vegetable pakora with chutney and just plain papadums on the side. Hmmmm. Nevertheless, it was all delicious. My wife's main entree was the butter chicken, and we both shared a saag aloo. I had my go-to chicken vindaloo, and it was delicious. The portion sizes are humongous, which is a nice departure from the typical Indian restaurant where you pay $15 and get maybe half the bowl that Jalwa provides. Overall, an excellent experience and will be back to patronize more often. Oh, and they're newly updated and revised menu is awesome! Dozens and dozens of options. It took us at least 10 minutes to get through it all to figure out what we wanted! Four stars for good food (and plenty of it), good service, and a nice new atmosphere as compared to Aroma. Absolutely recommend!

Service: Quick and friendly. Food: Got the Sesame Crispy Potato, garlic potatoes, and the chicken tikka masala. Everything was pretty good tbh and they definitely do not skimp on the spice when you ask for it which was a pleasant surprise! The tikka masala was a bit sweeter than I'd like and I ran out of meat way before I ran out of the curry, but it was good. Overall, decent Indian place. Nothing amazing, but it's got everything you need.

Inside the restaurant had very lovely, eye-catching decor. I was greeted and welcomed warmly immediately by what seemed to be the owner. Inside was somewhat busy for lunch but I was seated right away. When my order was taken, I planned on getting the same items as before, but my server was kind enough to suggest some new dishes to me. He recommended the paneer masala and garlic naan. Convinced me on the spot, and the flavors did NOT disappoint. I like my food spicy and had the paneer masala made very very hot. The gravy was perfect. The naan was fresh, crispy, airy, and paired nicely with the paneer masala. My order came with a side of rice, which was a nice alternative to the naan. The employees made their rounds often to make sure all customers were satisfied and enjoying. For dessert, I decided on warm gulab jamun. The order came with four, and was very yummy. Highly recommend if you're craving delicious Indian food in the area. I believe they also have other locations in nearby cities/towns.
