Little India was recommended to us by some friends and I'm so glad we finally tried it! When we got there it was pretty empty, but by the time we left on a late Tuesday night, the place was almost full. We also noticed a steady stream of pickup orders going out (always a good sign!) Our server was super friendly and helped us decide from their wide menu. The food was delicious! The tikka masala was definitely our favorite. Portions were great and we happily enjoyed the leftovers the next day. They have a great amount of seating inside, and while the location can feel a little hidden, it is absolutely worth finding. We walked up from Midtown Crossing with this restaurant as our destination. We took a seat with several other tables, all appeared to be regulars based on their friendly conversation with the server. I ordered the Biryani, as recommended by my two friends from India. My wife ordered Malabar Curry with chicken, plus we started with Happy Heart Naan. First, I haven't had Biryani from a local spot in India, but this was great. almost light in weight, but very flavorful. The chicken chunks wer moist and well seasoned. I'd give this a 4.3. I also, thankfully, tried the Malabar Curry w/Chicken and rice. This was very good, reminded me of Saag Chicken in some ways, but this was great, too. I'd give this a 4.8. The real treat was our new discovery of their Happy Heart Naan. This was a perfect bread with light peppers on top. Not spicy, but flavorful. Rate this a 5.0 for price, flavor and texture. Price was nice, service was great, and the food exceeded expectations. We will be regulars, there are many more dishes we wat to try. read more

I've only been once, but the food was great. The space used to be the Farnam Brewery, and still looks and feels the same. I liked that the garlic naan unlike some places is super galicky. They don't have a ton of staff, so it could take a bit to get your food, but totally worth the wait. read more

I enjoyed little India twice this week, once for the first time. The staff were very kind and professional. The space was relaxing despite being under renovation. The food was delicious... I had the butter mansala twice, and paired it with butter naan. The second time I got take out, and they had my order out in ten minutes. This place is amazing, reminds me of my favorite Indian place in Austin, TX. The atmosphere is trendy and the vibe is really chill. Can't go wrong with any of the curries and the Nan bread is really good! The price is also budget friendly. I'll definitely be coming back again. read more

Got it delivered so I can speak to the atmosphere or building but I want to say that my search for a non-vinegar forward vindaloo is over! This is more brown, rich vindaloo that I've been looking for for so long! The korma is spicy! I got garlic and rosemary naan and garlic naan and both were delicious but on the thinner side. The basmati rice was fine, but had a bit more spice (almost tasted a bit like chili powder) than I prefer. All in all really solid! read more

Walked in a little after 11am, but they don't serve food until 11:30. Seems a bit late to start lunch, so I was starving by the time our food finally came out. The food was great, though. We had trouble getting drinks refilled and the lighting is strange. They kept trying to turn lights on and off, and the lights would shine directly into our faces. No music or anything, so the ambience is kind of awkward. Not bad overall, but I hope they tweak a few things to make it a little better. read more

We HIGHLY recommend Little India Restaurant in the Blackstone area, at 3582 Farnam Street in Omaha. It's SUPERB! (Formerly Taste of India, the popular little restaurant on the corner of 35th & Leavenworth for years.) We went to their new location and the food was absolutely fantastic! I had the Veg Korma, (Vegan) and Mark had the Veg. Jalfrezi. Both were served with Appa's Yellow Rice. Instead of our usual Naan bread, we tried the Garlic Roti and 2 pieces of Kerala Paratha. The Kerala Paratha is a buttery, filo-type bread, with the texture of the best croissant you ever tasted. Everything was fantastic, spiced and cooked to perfection! Our server, Joshy, was quick to help by pointing out the healthiest options. The new location has easy parking in their lot right by the back entrance. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic with beautiful lighting and a good choice of seating at different tables and booths. Little India is a great family-owned business, and its new location can accommodate a lot more people and groups. The menu has something for everyone, vegans, vegetarians, meat and seafood consumers, and the options are clearly indicated on the menu. You can get take-out, also! The food was amazing! The quality and taste were so good. We had several appetizers and main courses. We had to take boxes but as for the homemade pistachio ice cream. You won't regret trying this place. I am lucky enough to know the head chef from a previous job and his skills are chefs kiss. read more

this place has gone downhill, and i have been burnt multiple times now on ordering through DoorDash. the first time, my order was 40 minutes later than the quoted time (express delivery, so driver made no other stops) and the naan was somehow raw in the middle. this was 2 years ago and I hadn't ordered again until last night when I ordered vegetable biryani. quoted time was 30 minutes. 90 minutes later, still no biryani. we called to check on it a few times and were told "it's almost done" "they're packaging it up" and 30 more minutes would go by. 15 minutes before closing, they were allegedly cooking it after quoting it being cooked and packaged 40 minutes prior. order canceled, lesson learned. the food, service, and martini we all excellent. Stayed at The Cottonwood Hotel and walked over to this lovely (newly expanded) family owned restaurant. We started w a much needed martini that was mixed w a smile. The megalatawny (sp?) soup delicious! Tandoori shrimp divine. We were gifted the donut holes in syrup for dessert which were divine.
