The food is great! We are local to Coos bay and have been here many times and tried just about everything including the juiciest steak!! My favorite though is chicken parm! Or the new lobster tail taco omgoodness to die for!!! Service was good, very helpful and attentive If we needed anything! Ambiance is calm, the lighting us great! So disappointing! The appearance from outside was great - so inviting. Inside? Not so much, but okay. We sat down and were studying their menu, which was creative. Long story short, the service was absolutely great, But the food was thrown together. The pasta was NOT cooked to order, I could tell they held it partially cooked and rewarmed it for service. My gawd! It's an Italian restaurant & Pasta only takes minutes to cook. And then the shrimp were overcooked & rubbery. The breadsticks they brag about were comical; a few inches long, irregular with some fat and some long. No taste and rather doughy. For desert, I ordered the Cannoli and the wife had Tiramisu. We could have had better deserts at 7-11. The Cannoli was blah. - flat and rather tasteless, but at least it was sweet. Nothing resembling a REAL Cannoli. And the Tiramisu? Laughable. A soggy chocolate cake really. They should be ashamed to serve it. In a fact I felt sorry for the server. It wasn't her fault. She brought out what the kitchen gave her. Maybe they had staff problems that day? I don't know, but at today's prices I'm not going to be cheerful about throwing money away. Maybe your experience was better there, I hope so. Fresh made daily Pasta.. that is an huge hit for us and was wonderful. Our Appetizer of Fresh Made Mozzarella pieces and fresh Marinara sauce were SO Delicious. My Husbands 3 Meat Calzone he loved and will get again. My 3 Cheese Tortellini had the perfect taste combination, the pasta was fresh made from scratch as was the sauce..very good. Our Waiter was very helpful, and very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed this established Italian Restaurant for our Anniversary and we will be back. PS Got a slice of fresh from scratch Pepperoni Pizza to try and it was great! Please don't waste your money or your calories. This is not food you will want to eat. My gnocchi was so poor that it was like chewing gum. I was laughing and allowing others to try it. The wait staff was slow and rude when we communicated our issues with the food. My wife's calzone was so salty it was like eating a salt lick. This place had potential but sadly fails in every way. Yes it is a shadow of its former self but the basics are there. I opted for good ol spaghetti with marinara sauce a tasty minestrone and washed it down with a nice glass of vino. Well, I'm sorry, but I have to write this review! The food was absolutely horrible... Ordered a Caesar Salad, and kept finding pieces of black rotten lettuce, plus you could tell that the Dressing was from a plastic jug, NOT from scratch... I ordered the Pasta Carbonara, which was so friggin salty, I had the server put it in a to-go box, and give it to my neighbors dog... The pork was like big chunks of ham, instead of crispy bits of Pancetta, like it's normally done... Not sure what the cook did to the egg sauce, but, like I said, it was so salty, it was inedible... The server was super nice, so I did not bother her with any complaints... I have been in Culinary Arts for over 40 years, and never seen anything quite like this in a very long time... This place is terrible. Ordered a ribeye with peppercorn sauce and a margarita pizza. Steak was very fatty and burnt and the peppercorn sauce it says it comes with soup however I received no soup. Wanted to add mashed potatoes to my steak but they didn't have potatoes. The pizza was dry and flat and reminiscent of a frozen store bought pizza. Appreciate that they were open late (until 9pm) on a Monday evening, but the food was not great. Ordered Chicken Marsala, which wasn't even edible. The chicken was super rubbery, and seemed to be coated in fried egg or something that gave off a really horrible smell. And served with a bit of pasta in tomato sauce which was an odd pairing and did not taste good at all. Others at our table had lasagna (seemed like it was frozen and reheated, but was edible at least) and pizza which was ok. Little Italy is now my families new favorite dinning spot. I am particular about food, with authentic flavors and ingredients. I make my own recipes from scratch. To be honest the graham cracker crust was better than I make, homemade. It was the perfect texture. One member of the family does not like key lime pie, well, guess what, he loved this one! The alfredo sauce won me over. To achieve the right balance of richness between butter and cream, cheese, garlic, and salt, not to mention the fresh herbs. Years of making it homemade I have yet to achieve this perfect balance. I came in with an appetite and the portions were large enough to have a heap of leftovers. The waitress was very professional, pleasant, and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Also, rich foods always keep my taste buds satiated. I should've read the most recent reviews on all pages, especially Yelp, before eating here. We will never return! The waitress was fine, a bit preoccupied with only 1 other table of two, but she was nice enough. That's NOT what's important here... We paid $75 (including her tip) for a table of two, with waters and the most tasteless, bland, nasty food we have ever had! We tried mozzarella "sticks". It came out as flat round circles, with most of the cheese oozed out already and what was there was not good. We both had an entree for dinner, a tortellini dish and a chicken parm. Incredibly bland, the sauces had a weird funk that we could not get to go away and the chicken was overcooked. It was all dreadful and overpriced. This place really needs to shape up before it closes for good. We were in there at prime dinner time on a Saturday night and they had 3 tables. That should say something. They don't even offer complimentary breadsticks anymore, but according to other reviews they're bad also.. So I'd have to guess we weren't missing out! I love food, I'm a total foodie and Italian is my favorite cuisine.. Trust me, you don't want to dine here. Choose anywhere else. I miss Ciccarelli's!! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here around 7 pm on a Monday and we ordered breadsticks, gnocchi with pesto chicken, and lasagna. We really enjoyed all of the food. The breadsticks were amazing and you could tell they were made from scratch. All of the food seemed like it was home made and it came out fresh and hot. We had reservations at 6:00 for 2. We got there and they had one table available, but we were told we needed to sit and wait. Then 4 people came in behind us about 5 minutes later. 3 tables, for 2 opened up. They were bussed and cleaned. 20 minutes after our reservation, we are still waiting and they came and seated the 4 that came in behind us. No acknowledgement or anything. Old building, dated decor. One waiter working his hardest to keep everyone happy. 5 stars for him and his efforts. They were out of some of the salad dressings because of the holiday weekend but he hand made a balsamic vinaigrette that was awesome on a salad that was so so. Except for the food and the service, it was not all bad. Our first time visiting and were expecting authentic Italian food. We don't think that anything in our dinner was authentic. We were going to order an appetizer but it took so long to get even a glass of water, that we didn't want to slow up the kitchen with unnecessary items. Our drink order took 30 minutes. Our salads were minuscule and wilted. We had to ask for silverware and waited another 10 minutes to get them. When our dinner arrived the plates had water from the (over cooked) pasta and very little marinara sauce. That was actually a good thing because the sauce had no spices (No garlic or oregano even) and we were certain it came from a jar or can. My beverage was good but my husbands, not so much. We did not try any dessert but when we stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home, we remedied that. We were told that the restaurant was under new ownership. I think that the new owners have no ides how to run a restaurant, and even less idea of how to make Italian food. The ambiance was on par with an Italian restaurant and had some unusual items displayed. Sadly, I think they came with the purchase of the restaurant and were in need of a good cleaning. My opinion is to avoid this restaurant until there is another new owner and then wait for those reviews. read more

The ambiance was acceptable, a nice historic building. The food was among the worst we've ever had on the Oregon Coast, and that includes hundreds of establishments. We both ordered spaghetti and meatballs, and the noodles were lukewarm, the sauce tasted like it came out of a can, and the "meatballs" were three tiny hard lumps of some type of animal flesh. There was no bread or salad of any kind, and the fountain drinks were watered down and devoid of carbonation. At least the service was acceptable. Stay away from this place!! read more

Took my wife a couple of weeks ago for our Anniversary. When we got there, we were served dirty silverware. The waiter did not have a wine list. There was wine on the wall, but we were told we did not have access to that and we had to drink the cheap offbrand house wine they had. Then we placed our order. They poured my wife the last bit of red wine. She received a 1/4 glass and was charge for a full glass. They came back after we ordered and said they were out of lasagna. So we ordered something else. One of the items we ordered was chicken Parmesan. They came back with our food about an hour later minus the chicken Parmesan. They said the chicken Parmesan would be out soon but it never came. We finished our meal and it still wasn't done. The spaghetti was dry and we had an item on our ticket we never received. I left 2 messages for the manager or owner to call me over a weeks time. It's been 2 weeks and no one has called yet so I filed a credit card dispute. read more
