The sign is quite faded so we were not sure that this was the NoBe food pod we had read about. It was nearly 2:00 and we were starving. So we pulled in, there are 3 carts SweetHeart's Chicks and Shakes, Amigas and West Coast Bitez. Bitez was shuttered, so we had Sweetheart's and Amigas to choose from. We both went with SweetHearts's. Fabulous choice. I went with the Chicken Poutine my partner went with the Chicken breast and fries. We sat down to wait for our meal. The picnic tables were very nice, clean and sturdy, the area had the outdoor grass laid out. We had maybe a 10 -15min wait. Seems we got the last lunch of the day as Sweethearts had had such a busy lunch rush. When we tucked into our meal we found out why she had won so many awards and sold out by 2:00pm. Portions are grandma generous, chicken though boneless breast meat, is very moist and tender. Chicken crust is thin and perfectly crunchy. My poutine was nicely spicy with a sausage gravy. Which I suspect was pork gravy, did some guilt eating on this. But it was so good. The fries are phenomenal, interesting shell like shape, but perfectly crispy and golden .

My review is for Little Italy Coos Bay Oregon: OMG, avoid this place. We had reservations for 10 of us at 5:30, receipt number CYS2. We walked in at 5:15 table wasn't ready and there were two other couples seated that had been served. It took at least 15 minuets for Skylar to take our drink and dinner orders. We waited at least another 15 minuets for our drinks and in total it took about an hour to get our meals. We asked why there was no additional help for waiting tables and he stated that he let his other waitress go to bible camp. Unfortunately, his actions turned into our problem of poor service. He had two weeks prior notice of our reservation. I was given my receipt after having to ask for it at 6:54 pm. Four people had calzones two of which had heartburn that night. Two meat and cheese were ordered. One came almost all meat and the other was almost all cheese. Another person ordered a vegetarian and she said hers was all cheese and there was little vegetables and part of it was raw. Three people ordered Chicken Parmesan. All of them said it was flavorless, noodles over cooked, sauce was watery, breading on the chicken was soggy and was tuff but edible. It was as if the noodles were not drained putting it together. I ordered Brochette for an appetizer. He came back and told me that they were out. I didn't want anything else on the menu and was concerned that my meal would not be enough food. He stated that my Chicken Carbonara would be plenty. When my dish came there was no chicken, the sauce was like someone took a package, added water to it, threw it in the micro and Wala, nasty tasting watery trash and the least food of all plates to the biggest person. I did not have lunch that day so like I told him, I ate all of it but if I would have had the ham sandwich that I had planned on eating for lunch, I would have sent my meal back or asked for something else. He did not charge me for the meal though I told him to go ahead and charge it because I did eat it but that I would not be back and I would be leaving a poor review for the worst Carbonara I ever ate in my life. They also wanted to charge an 18 percent gratuity. I did not pay it and left him a 5 dollar tip because even though the service was way under par, he did serve us. I usually leave 20 percent. Then he took a picture of us at the table and another asked why. He said he took it to prove we ate all the food. Not true, some left food in their plate and some took it home but they had heartburn and threw it out the next day so I was told. Luckily I survived to write this note the next day. Comments Ice machine was broken and was chipped ice. No gloves. Worst calzone they ever had. One had a lot of meat and the other seemed to be all cheese and they were supposed to be the same thing. . Had to ask for water, never asked to refill soda, Margareta served in well glass which one was good and the other bad, we never got bread with our meals and some of them came with it, the waiter in the beginning said they could only cook two calzones at a time so two would be served and then the other two would take an additional 25 min. Since we all wanted to eat at once two changed their order. Later he came back and said he could do four at once so they changed their order to calzones. Evidently the waiter does not know the kitchen. 10 people ate there and all 10 are not going back. It was my second time and the only reason I went there was because friends invited me and I wanted to be with them, otherwise I would have not gone back because the first experience with them told me to stay away but I must admit there was an improvement because my feet didn't stick to the floor in the restroom like the first time 7 years prior. Please take into consideration all my reviews that I have posted over many years all across the nation and read what others have said about them. I have over one million views of the pictures I have posted. Too bad I wanted to visit rather than critique the food. I could have shown how watery everything was and off on consistency. Then only thing enjoyable about the meal was my friends and neighbors, without them the evening would have been a total disaster. read more

Went in on a whim and amazing service. The food and flavors were one-of-a-kind and like nothing I've ever had at this price point. My question was with chicken piccata. It should be pounded flat. The Chef took the time to explain to me how he prepared it and served it. I still think it should be like a chicken cutlet, but the flavors were absolutely amazing. I do not usually care for marinara. However, their marinara house was simply amazing. I took my minestrone soup home and upon reheating it it was simply amazing. I wanted to treat my son to a very nice meal and I got it. Again service was beyond reproach and flavors of food or vibrant and original. I can't wait until our next visit. Prices were fair and only affordable as a treat, but worth every bite My only regret was that I was too full to sample the dessert menu. And I still think chicken piccata should be served with flat pounded chicken. Oh wow, I forgot to mention the pizza that my son ordered was something that I consider divine. Cheese, perfect, sauce, perfect, crust. Perfect, I only wish I could have had some to take home too. I will be ordering this as a takeout for sure read more

Ok, so I'm responding to "Jeffrey O's" review here... although I can agree with you on some aspects, food taste is a choice, period....I worked there since the reopening and had nothing but compliments on the cuisine...to the extent that I asked our chef out of the cucina on multiple occasions to get his much deserved gratitude, so......? It's a choice...and your complaints only drew attention to yourself, as to "misery loves company"....so, that being said, sir.....I've read your reviews on other establishments that you've left and they've all got a 1 star by you....nothing positive at all.....negative much ? You claim 40 years culinary...ok....you working now ? I'll totally agree that ownership sucks and that's why employees left....but to bash our chefs that work hard ? You certainly know how it goes....I'm sure you've had your fair share of negative reviews in your career....why not offer guidance or encouragement ? came in for dinner the other day, we were immediately seated and served ice cold water. Its a cute little rustic place with pops of modern Italian icons and art. I guess they double as a game room for Pokemon and other card games so there's cute nerdy stuff mixed into the decor. The server was really prompt and friendly, suggested we try their famous mushroom risotto and fettuccine Alfredo. We also got to try some of their house cocktails, the garden of Eden and holy grail. Both were great, but the food arrived and there was ALOT. literally covered the entire plate and it came with soup. My wife and I ended strong with tiramisu and it was to die for. needless to say we left with fat bellies and enough left over for lunch the next day. read more

We went here end of January: Recently re-opened under new management, the place looks homey and comfortable like an Italian restaurant in the old country. Service was affable, knowledgeable, and efficient. Soup was great though it was strange no bread/butter was offered. Appetizer bread sticks were round mozarella cheese thingees which were ok if not great. All the supposedly homemade pastas were served "al dente", which is to say severely undercooked and almost hard, which none of us liked. The meatballs were these hard tiny things which were sorta vaguely ok. The various sauces went from ok to ugh, but the desserts were delicious. I will not eat here again. It is a dis -service to say what isnt true. A dis- service to an unwary vacationer or a local . The food I ordered was -in my opinion- worse than a can Chef Boyar-dee. Save your money and pick another place. My spaghetti was NOT homemade. It appeared to be warmed up tomato sauce. No bread was offered, just pieces of breadstick that I tasted and couldnt finish. read more

I would advise everyone to spend your money at a restaurant with more quality and integrity. Having worked here and having met people that have worked at little Italy, they all say the same things. They do not pay their employees. I don't believe that is a good atmosphere for a nice dinner. read more

I saw a few reviews that the food wasn't authentic, but as it happened the table next to us was a German gentleman (from Germany ) and he seemed absolutely delighted with ALL of it. As was the ghost of my stepfather. It definitely has an old school dark wood, typical German vibe going back to the late 80's/90's. If you want something hip and trendy, well, go somewhere else. It was part of its charm in my view. I loved our kind, but sassy waitress. She made us laugh and took good care of us. Definitely a must stop.
