When we come to the coast I always stop in. The drinks are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Local people are very kind. They do cook a lot of food here. They usually have a daily special food and drinks. I have the bar side. They have a dining room side for families and then in the back they have pool tables and lottery. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a motorcycle trip down the Pacific Coast. The lemon pepper wings were excellent and the service was great. If you ask one of the staff there is a very interesting history to this spot back when it was a long Shore man's watering hole. Also met some interesting regulars who had stopped in. There were two sides to the establishment, one was pub style with a bar and pool tables and the north side was set up as a regular restaurant with tables. read more

horrible service, been loving the wings there, and I always wonder why it took so long. I try a different place every other night to find the best wings. Walt's has ok wings but I found Humboldts to be the best around town. a little expensive but worth every penny. usually takes thirty minutes to get the wings but last Friday it took an hour + and never was asked how they were or if you want another beer. I from Vegas and I no good food and service. The big blonde was training a new girl who knew more about the business then the trainer. I'll say it again horrible. She was more interested in getting shots out and taking advantage of the drunks and making tips then managing the establishment. I will never frequent this place again. Love this Restaurant & bar!! A++ 1st time here and was pleasantly surprised there's the food side which is very clean and nice. Then there's the Bar side attached which had games-pool tables, etc.. great Bloody Mary's & other great drinks. We got the recommendation for breakfast from the HD dealer and perhaps she didn't take into consideration that we were a group of 12 and we overwhelmed the poor wait staff and most importantly the solo cook! The food was good, I chanced the chicken fried steak, and it was enormous....well beyond my expectations. A small dive bar, but good bloody mary's, nice selection of local beers, AND, since they've gotten the new cook, GREAT BREAKFASTS! Honestly, I was a little hesitate to come here after reading some of the older reviews, but Seth and Justine from http://www.theoregoncoastexperience.com/ insisted the food was great. They were right. First morning I had the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. Huge hunk of hand bread steak and great homemade gravy, eggs were cooked just as I asked. The next morning we returned and I had the gravy was so good the previous day I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy and Eggs. I was not disappointed. Two homemade (I guess bar made) and the gravy, two eggs, again cooked just right. Ignore the previous reviews, they are old and out of date. Do not waste your time coming here and if you don't believe me, see the picture. I have no idea why I thought I'd be okay with coming to this hole in the wall. During St. Patrick's Day my fiancé and I decided to walk to a local bar for a beer and corned beef and cabbage. Our first stop was Liberty Pub. We walked in and the place was just packed. Everyone looked like they were having a great time and the corned beef and cabbage looked great as we walked around to check out the place. Unfortunately the place had too long of a wait, so we opted to try another bar. Across the street is where The Humboldt club was and having never been to any of these bars, I thought it would be fine. Nope. There are basically three areas to be in this place. You walk in, there's the bar and small seating to the right, against a wall. On the other side of that wall is a room meant for dining. No one was in the dining room. Then beyond the bar and initial seating were darts, pool table...or two. The place was absolutely dead beyond the small crowd in front. So we ordered an Irish car bomb to start the festivities, then we were directed if we wanted to eat, take a seat and someone would stop by. So we sat down, waited and waited. I stood up and just asked for menus to get a head start. Our waitress/bar back came by and took our drink order and we discussed food. My fiancé orders the French dip, I was torn by the buffalo chicken sandwich or the Sheppard's pie so I asked the lady, "Which one should I go with?" She immediately recommended the Sheppard's pie, so I said fine. She then grabs the menu and turns around, then comes back and said, "By the way, we don't have a cook." Wait, WHAT? She mentions that they haven't had a cook in several months and that usually the bartender or her will cook it. I look at my fiancé and we decided to bite the bullet and boy did we EVER regret it. After what seemed an eternity, our waitress comes back with our meals. I immediately understand why she chose the Sheppard's pie over the buffalo chicken. My dried out lack thereof a meal was easily microwaved, where I could've been poisoned by the chicken (I guess I should thank her). Words cannot describe the pile of crap I received. The fries were soaking in grease, they actually looked like a combination of all the fries people have left on their dishes in the past week, put into one pile and refried. They were soggy, limp, and just tasted awful. The beef under the mash was dry, hard, and flavorless. The mash was just a block, and the cheese...ughhhh. My fiancé didn't enjoy hers either. Her bread was hard, meat which looked like store bought slices, and her Au Jus was just a beef bouillon cube. It being late, we decided to eat it. I got though over half and decided to call it quits. I go up to get my tab, discussed the food with the overzealous young bartender who told me to take it up with the owner. All I asked was a discount, being that they didn't have a cook they should've told customers before taking their order. I just wanted to get out. This was probably the second time in my life I had not left a tip. Do yourself a favor; don't give this place your business. The food is a waste. Go across the street to Liberty Pub and enjoy yourself. You won't find satisfaction from this so called establishment. read more

After blowing into adjacent Coos Bay only to discover its Hard Scrabbled Decaying Doomed Bleak Grim and Ugly Past, Present, and Future When all we wanted was A delicious plate of Oregon Coast Fine-ass Seafood!!! We left those dreams behind Way down south in Gold Beach Unbeknownst. Luckily, North Bend was the slightly more well put together neighboring city with all the ingredients of a city on the move They've got a Casino An Airport and a Big Ass Shopping Mall! Now that's a tax base. To the friendly folk behind the bar at the Humboldt Club: Thank you for late-nite Road Weary Salvation. Here for the dunes, but stumbled across the Humboldt Club by accident waiting to pick up relatives at the nearby airport. Well shop worn, but as friendly as all get out. Full selections of premium booze and a good well, and all the cheap-o likkers too. Hard to top Jonathan T's review, but it about sizes the place up. It's a restaurant, or is directly common to the restaurant, and the food is pretty good. Park a block away so it doesn't look like you're leaving a bar and driving off. read more

This place is a hidden gem! The restaurant side has been remodeled. The waiter was very kind and had a good sense of humor. We split a plate because the portions are very huge. The cook actually split the food between the 2 plates. Great food- Great service! read more

Well aver waiting 15 min more for to go order after being told 20 min paying $24.50 for 2 orders of hotwings a side of potato salad which was the worst I have ever tasted and to pay 3.50$ for that which me and my bf just threw it out then order extra Bc dressing and paid $3.50 for that and only got 2 1oz cup half full. Very very dissatisfied the only thing I liked about the whole terrible experience was the hot wings themselves. Which I will never order again. read more

I wonder if anyone actually says something to the business employees or owners when something went wrong. Honestly, they aren't giving any sort of business a fair chance at rectifying the issues and just go onto social media to bitch about it. I had a bad experience once, but I also understand that the people that run it and the people that work it are humans and make mistakes. My experience was slow service and my food was a bit dry. I talked to the man behind the bar (and this was probably mid-morning) to let him know about my experience. Turns out, he was the owner. He was very polite and apologized for my experience. He had the cook redo my food immediately. He told me the meal and a drink of my choice was on the house and to let someone know if I ever ran into this issue again. I'm not one to post on Yelp about anything, but after reading the rude and inconsiderate reviews, I thought I'd leave a fair one. Don't let anyone's opinion on here sway yours. Go check it out for yourself. This place isn't perfect, but no place truly is. Remember, if there is an issue, TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT IT BEFORE BITCHING ONLINE. This place is split in two sections: A bar and a restaurant. I went in the restaurant section for lunch with my 2 year old the other day. The menu looked good enough, and it was clean inside. I grabbed a seat and waited for a server. There was only one table with people seated at it. The waitress brouht a plate to the other table and made eye contact with me. She then disappeared and came back a few minutes later with more food for the other table. She again made eye contact with me but still did not come over. After ten minutes she finally called over from the register in the bar side, "yeah, i'll get to you in a minute". After three years in the coos bay area this was one of the worst examples of customer service I've seen yet. I can't vouch for the food and this may have been an isolated incident but I can tell you I'm not going back to find out. read more
