This is my go-to pizza place in the MOT area but the last pizza was sub-par. I believe it may have been partially baked ahead as a plain cheese, and then the toppings added and rebaked. I love pizza and when it's not the real thing, I'm unhappy. And LIPS pizza has always been the real thing...until today. The suspicion started when our pizza was not searingly hot, even though we arrived at the 20 min mark on a busy night, the appointed time for pick up. It should have been volcanic, and the short ride home would mean it would still be quite warm. The box wasn't super hot. It was barely warm 15 min later. The bottom crust was uniformly and very burnt. The green peppers were soggy. The sausage was not very brown. So (Sherlock Holmes here) someone put pre-cooked green peppers, a few (not enough) pellets of sausage, threw it back in the oven and called it a day. No cheese pull, in fact cheese came off in hard plaques. This indicates the cheese had congealed previously (it's hard to reheat cheese to get the same consistency.) The burnt flavor wasn't great and the soggy congealed top was not great either. If you're going to be busy, I'm HAPPY TO WAIT. For a fresh pie. Not this. read more

Good place for pizza if you wanted an alternative to national chain pizza place ( You know who they are..... ) I do believe this place is locally owned and operated. They offer a quality made pizza with good amount of toppings. Typical New York style, and it tastes great. Pasta, wings, and cheesesteaks are also on their menu. But we prefer their pizza more. They do have dine-in facility, but it's minimal. Recommend take out though. Staff are friendly and helpful. Be sure to check their hours, as they do close a bit earlier than others. read more

Newer to this area and I don't usually go more south than Middletown. But this pizza spot was so good! Such competitive pricing compared to what is available in Middletown. We also got a cheesesteak and it was delicious. Coming back here asap! read more

A very well deserved 4.7 on google maps. Anthony wanted me to try the pizza. Cheesesteak Adventure, HELLO! I got the PINO, a cheesesteak with Sauce. I am glad I got to taste the sauce. The sauce is pretty freaking tasty. This was a nice 'controlled mess' of a cheesesteak. Cheese and sauce chopped thru perfectly. The PINO came with peppers. I don't think I would have liked the peppers without the sauce. Definitely going back for the Pizza read more

Simple steak, fries, and pizza place. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced. They even have daily specials. It's mostly a take out place although I see a dining room off to the side, but never see anyone in there so it may not be available. The owner is right there behind the counter, working right along with the staff. It looks like he hires the local high school kids and seems like he actually trains them to offer great customer service! Great place; give them a try!!! read more

Often when I'm out driving, I pass by places like these and wonder if I'm missing out on something special. After all, that's the fun part of restaurants that aren't a national chain. You might uncover a gem, or a turd covered in vomit. And this is a turd covered in vomit. The first thing I noticed as soon as my mom and I sat down was how filthy the floors were. They looked they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. And considering that where I work, the floors are swept and mopped multiple times a day, the state of the floors immediately suggests a lack of care before we even had our food. The wait for the food itself was tolerable, but the disappointment quickly intensified. I ordered a cheeseburger, which could've been worse, I am thankful that it wasn't a completely overcooked hockey puck, but it came apart a little bit too easily. However, the biggest issue came in the form of my mom's pizza. She ordered 2 slices of pepperoni & sausage pizza. When it came out, the sausage (which was just pellets) had trouble staying on the slices. I told my mom it looked like someone took an already cooked pepperoni pizza and just threw sausage on top. My mom said of the pizza itself: the dough was too thin to the point where she had a problem holding it, the sauce was bland, and she said she was afraid of asking for a fork to help her eat it, because given the state of the floor, she wasn't sure if the fork would be clean. In summary, do not go here. If you want good pizza, go to Grotto's. Seriously, how hard is it to clean the floor? read more

Got the cheesesteak today and WOW, this was the best steak in MOT! The meat, roll, and toppings were on point! I honestly felt like I was eating a steak from South Philly. Bravo, well done! As a Brooklyn/Philly native, I loved the family energy and feel of this spot. It felt very familiar to me and reminded me of great food memories. PS. This was my first time getting food from this establishment. My husband ordered over the phone and asked for a chicken parmesan dinner. The girl taking the order said it was too hot in the kitchen to make pasta. Not really sure how that could be since they make pizza. We ordered a steak pizza, onion rings, a chicken parmesan sandwich and loaded fries. The pizza was terrible. The meat on top was dried out and the crust was doughy. The loaded fries were undercooked and mushy. The chicken parmesan sandwich was decent. The onion rings were really good. My husband tells me the employees were very polite. Definitely not going back. Just driving through town and found this quaint little pizza joint. As soon as we entered, we will do the same greeted with a warm welcome and smiles. We decided to dine in and we were blown away by the beautiful aesthetic and cute decor. The food did not disappoint. The mozzarella sticks had the perfect cheese pull and the pizza was amazing.
